I love how polite you are as a fast rider, very nice! I remember getting screamed at, revved at, an cursed out to all hell from the faster riders behind me.
Dude, you are a class act. You are exponentially faster on the Yamaha, and this video personally I think is your best yet; the commentary, the edit, the China stuff (freakin hilarious), etc. The majority of that course looked like you were riding on Black Forest Chocolate Cake, absolutely awesome! I dont imagine you run any vintage stuff yet, but hopefully I get to meet you and shake your hand on the trail one day. Great stuff!
I like your editing. You show the good clips. And your commenting provides a bit of a story. Got me into your race and cheering for you. Nice riding, I hope to be half as good some day!
You should try to move your handle bars to the front holes..I did it to my fx and felt like it gave me much more control,,so much I kick myself for not moving them up sooner..great videos, thanks for sharing.😎👍
I had very narrow cut bars for 8 years. Bought a new set and decided to leave them stock for a bit. I have way more stability with the stock length. It's worth having to turn the bars on really tight single track
The question you should be answering yourself is what are you happier on. You seem to be better suited to the Yamaha. Try changing your fork height up in the clamps to around 5mm approx. This will help with the heavy feel in the front. Two teeth less on the back sprocket will give you better top end speed while sacrificing lower speed gearing in the tight stuff.
love ur channel and content and have been watching for years. it’s cool to see how far u have come all the way from the Suzuki. I do think u r faster and have more confidence on the yamaha. i’d keep rockin it
Another good result. Got the yammie running in the upper mid to top top end where it rips. Sounds good on the video, if too loud in person. Closed course racer for sure.
Zack, awesome riding! Your really charging on the new 4 stroke. This is how you needed to ride that 2 stroke! Hahaha anyway keep riding like this in your harescrambles and gncc racing. Your finally charging like I used to see you do back in your old c class videos! Keep it up and AA won’t know what hit them! 🤘🏼🤘🏼👍🏼💪🏼 from a long time fan
I do an event in Australia called the Transmoto 12 hour and they also run the spiral , fun but also weird seeing other bikes coming in the other direction haha.
Zach, the 4 strokes have better "luggability" than the 2 strokes. You just have the MX version with a lighter fly wheel. The 250FX and WR250F versions have heavier fly-wheels and so are better at low RPM than the 250F
I noticed you mentioned about your handle bars being to wide you think you would mabie cut them down you actually get a lot better handling with wide handle bars well that's what I have noticed every time I get new wider handle bars
If the 4 stroke engine braking is causing issues, have you thought about getting a Rekluse TorqDrive replacement? From what I've heard, it's supposed to reduce the issue significantly.
The ABB’s are a great crew. Looking forward to the upcoming Northeast 24hr on July 18th/19th. Did a 6 man team two years, two man two years and now 50+ Ironman for 2020 you guys should come do it again.
I cut my ktm bars down for motocross. They came at 811mm and it felt very wide. I cut 2.5mm off each end and it was a huge improvement in handling feel. I’m pretty sure the Yamaha bars already come stock in that 802-806mm range so I personally wouldn’t cut them but it’s up to you.
As many state you are certainly faster on the YZ. The bike puts down loads of usable power and it doesn't do anything unexpected. Get the front forks dialed in and it will be your go to bike for pretty much everything. Chances are you need softer springs for the forks and a revalve. The engine on that bike is very powerful and very tuneable with that new app. Can't wait to see you ride a HS with this bike.
@@ConTheDon187 the new YZ250F's and the 2020 YZ250FX can connect to a smartphone via bluetooth and there is a Powertuner app you can download that lets you tune the engine. Looks pretty cool.
Hey Zach I’m a motocross rider in Australia and have a yz250f 2019 model and we like wider bars for more control, but when I ride bush I find them a bit to wide and wanting them on the shorter side
Seems like the time difference due to the different machine is insignificant compared to the speed you'd gain by staying on one bike and mastering it. Did you time some laps to prove your switch is beneficial? 2>4:))
YO Zach with the bars because there flexable bars the wider means more flex I personally like them how they come on my bikes but if the ktm has rigid twin wall bars I would cut the yam bars down and it will feel better for u
Every now and then there will be a cut and I’ll hear that 4stroke growling and I’ll think, “There’s someone behind Zack.” Then I’ll remember he’s come to the light side and is riding a 4stroke lol
If you cut down your bars don't go any more than 1/4 off each side at a time and don't go more than 3/4 inch total. Find a sweet spot for you. The shorter you go, the less you'll be able to manage kicks to the front end. I ALWAYS run my steering bearings on the tight side. If you don't like the though of that, you may want to look into a stabilizer. I will say you seem way faster on the 250f, I'm the same way on my 350.
His 2 stroke isnt a motorcross bike. It's an enduro/woods bike. It's one of ktms 2 stroke woods bike. One of the few manufacturers that still make 2 stroke woods bikes
16:26 I've wondered if you can advance the cams on the four strokes. Advancing them a degree or two would be like lowering the ports on a two stroke and move the power lower down in the rpm range. Someone would have to make an adjustable cam gear/s and, being a two stroke guy, I've never looked into it.
Zach was flying to get to that circle jerk.. lol. Man ur ripping on that yz. I’ve been looking at the 250fx just because of the rising I do. Hardly ever 5th gear pinned but might keep the yz250f in mind as well. I just don’t know what to do lol any info anyone?
I love how polite you are as a fast rider, very nice! I remember getting screamed at, revved at, an cursed out to all hell from the faster riders behind me.
Damn zach it just hit me that I've been watching your vids for like 5 or 6 years
yea man, I remember the day the dirt bike washed away in flood video came out. Good times
I noticed you seem to be carrying more speed on the 250, and its so loud your scarin the chit out of everybody and they just move out of the way. LOL
I like the 250F videos the best. But I enjoy all your videos. Nice job!
Put the ktm handle bars on the Yz and ride it and see if you like the short bars then cut the Yz’s bars to the size you want
You are faster on the Yamaha ride it more!!
Landon Nowak so true I rate that comment
Yeah for sure I can preach for that
Ya way faster
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic shows. Cheers 👍🏼
Guessing you didn’t get that quieter exhaust yet, based upon how fast people were getting over. They knew you were coming!!
you’re so much faster on the 4 strokes the speed between the trees with the go pro is noticeable compared to when you were on the 300 💪🏻 good job !
That Yamaha 4 stroke just powers through those bad spots.
Wow your a great rider keep on doing your vids you teach me a bit. keep it up!!
If you get a chance, come ride a full gas sprint enduro, they're great. Next one is in West Virginia... on a golf course ;)
I think your videos are awesome it’s your sense of humor that makes him so good keep it up
Wider bars = slower steering but it’s more stable and narrower bars = faster steering but you get less stability.
I haven't watched a vid of you in like 3 years. I missed it man. You have the best voice for commentary!
Welcome back!
You didn’t just have fun you had “SOME SERIOUS FUN” awesome vids dude. Been here since 2015 or so. Huge fan!!!
You should try to move your handle bars to the front holes..I did it to my fx and felt like it gave me much more control,,so much I kick myself for not moving them up sooner..great videos, thanks for sharing.😎👍
That woods looks amazing
I had very narrow cut bars for 8 years. Bought a new set and decided to leave them stock for a bit. I have way more stability with the stock length. It's worth having to turn the bars on really tight single track
This is one of the best looking tracks I’ve ever seen
That looks like the coolest sprint race ever
im a 2 stroke guy but man that 250f looks fast kinda want one now
Hell yeah Zach. Wanna see some more of that 4 stroke wide open speed at the nyoa races

Great riding Zach. Really enjoyed the video and look forward to seeing you at the TKO race.
Bro your flyin!!!! I haven’t watched a video of yours in quite some time, and holy smokes dude👍👍👍👍
Your channel is awesome!!
love ur channel and content and have been watching for years. it’s cool to see how far u have come all the way from the Suzuki. I do think u r faster and have more confidence on the yamaha. i’d keep rockin it
The test 3 course looked like a blast
so much better on a 4 stroke. Funny how that works out!
Those conditions...wow. Dream stuff. UK is just mud, a little bit more mud and then sometimes mud.
Another good result. Got the yammie running in the upper mid to top top end where it rips. Sounds good on the video, if too loud in person. Closed course racer for sure.

We start single file 15 seconds apart in the D14 sprint enduros. Interesting you start in groups.
You look a lot smoother on the yami
My favorite dirtbike riding channel! It's a shame seeing that you arent growing as much as you should be sub wise..
That looked fun. You seem fast on that Yamaha.
Great commentary. Tracks look not too rough, open & flowing. Sweet sounding 250f.
What kinda handguards ya got there Zach, I’m on the market for some and those look like what I’m looking for
Dude your ripping compared to your first race on the 250f! Great job!
"My hands fell off".omg Zack u always crack me up man. Awesome. Thx! WADZ
Zak... lets be honest here. Your faster on the 4-stroke. I know we all love the 2 smoke but your faster on the 4 banger.
That's so subjective from just watching a video, c'mon..
@John Kramer easier to ride a slower bike fast than it is to ride a fast 2 stroke slow can't be lugging a 2 stroke all the time need to rev it harder
This is like watching rally, but with dirtbikes. I love it.
Good race, bike definitely needs a shiny new fmf
austin woodruff nice
Man I love these white YZs. Beautiful bike
I can say one thing... you hold that yz way tf more open than your ktm
Zach, the 4 strokes have better "luggability" than the 2 strokes. You just have the MX version with a lighter fly wheel. The 250FX and WR250F versions have heavier fly-wheels and so are better at low RPM than the 250F

I get arm pump just watching this! I gotta get to this sprint next year! Great riding my friend!
If the 4 stroke engine braking is causing issues, have you thought about getting a Rekluse TorqDrive replacement? From what I've heard, it's supposed to reduce the issue significantly.
You can actually change that on your phone
Hey Zach, are you doing the netra/catra black fly race on Sunday? How you liking the yz250f?
Love watching your videos... Wish you had the stabilizer on.
Would you be able to share your compression and rebound set up with us
the track here is always fun!
Those blind corners and drops remind me of the Tough Like RORR event. You coming down to PA to do that one again this year?
Change throttle tube, makes a humungous difference! Opens slow first half and fast second half
Looking better every video on the 250F! Makes me want one!
The ABB’s are a great crew. Looking forward to the upcoming Northeast 24hr on July 18th/19th. Did a 6 man team two years, two man two years and now 50+ Ironman for 2020 you guys should come do it again.
Do you power shift at all???
Arcadia Wisconsin???
Could you do like a quick overview of what you think of the 250 and also if you like racing a 4 stroke
What’s the rattling when you let off the gas

@@johnchafin3817 dang I just bought a 2019 wr250f, I don''t think it'll work then
Did you run the suspension stock or did you have it revalved? Any mods you like? looking at same bike.
You did a good job man congrats
Hey Zach I’m a motocross rider in Australia and have a yz250f 2019 model and we like wider bars for more control, but when I ride bush I find them a bit to wide and wanting them on the shorter side
How do you deal with arm pump
Seems like the time difference due to the different machine is insignificant compared to the speed you'd gain by staying on one bike and mastering it. Did you time some laps to prove your switch is beneficial? 2>4:))
Also, isn't 4 stroke faster in mud due to less wheelspin? THoughts ?
Sure makes a lot more racket. :)
I live in the finger lakes of new york and have no trails near me even close to that nice,I just ride my friends mini track in his backyard
You're right where all the NYOA races are. I mean this race is probably two hours away from you haha. I'm up near Syracuse.
YO Zach with the bars because there flexable bars the wider means more flex I personally like them how they come on my bikes but if the ktm has rigid twin wall bars I would cut the yam bars down and it will feel better for u
That bike sounds mint

Damn that track looks fun
Nice trails even though there was a bit of the mud, blood, and the beer. That bike sounds loud
Awesome trails.
What’s that blue button from 18:22? Do you have any fans mounted on radiators?
damn that track is sooooo nice. is it public?
no it was just a farmers land
Why did you choose the 4 stroke over the 2 stroke motorcross bike
His 2 stroke isnt a motorcross bike. It's an enduro/woods bike. It's one of ktms 2 stroke woods bike. One of the few manufacturers that still make 2 stroke woods bikes
Do guys run 2 stroke motocross bikes on courses like this? Anybody know how well they do?
Evan Kraft I meant to say why did he choose the yz250f over the yz250 when he was looking at new bikes
Good of you for saying thanks after passing instead of screaming like all of us who race are used to lol
Would love to come ride that place with you
Hey Man U should put stability mode on
Look good on Yamaha
I ride two strokes all my life and I love two stroke but I was mad when u got a 4 stroke but u look way faster and ride clean
What exhaust does that bike have? Sounds really good!! Also, would a rekluse clutch help the Yamaha in the lower lugging speeds?
Where ya been we need our zachatk back!!
That is the reason I even cut my bars and I race motocross and woods
Great vids and I still like the 2 stroke more but keep up the good work

I couldn’t imagine the arm pump man, I have the same bike it’s crazy as hell

AdamBomb 89 enduro I would go for a fx.
I have a yz250f and ktm 350 SX-F... Always trying to decide which one I want to ride when I go out.
Loving the race Zack, but the video is giving me headache! Maybe a higher frame rate would help? It seems a bit choppy
