Row 82 here. The dust ruts were absolutely horrible. Every hill was just a pile of silt. In the worst of it, it was like riding sugar sand with hidden rocks and roots - you really had to maintain momentum or you'd just spin the rear.
Agreed I was row 61 that first test was wild

The new GoPro and being able to see your fender definitely does a better job of showing the bumpiness. Since stabilization came out, all of the trails have been looking like they're glass smooth.

I really miss the fun riding the woods, we had the twin States National enduro, in Trigg county, and the Daniel Boon Enduro, both 100 mile enduros

That’s exactly how you should go into a race Zach! If you don’t, you’re allowing a slight bit of giving up in your head. Before the race even starts.
Or, alternatively.. pace yourself the fastest you possibly can. Just fast enough of a pace that it doesn’t quite feel like pace and more like all out. That’s the alternative😂

I followed you and Smith blindly into that mud trap hahaha… We all missed that left turn, I didn’t lose time or made mistakes but people were falling like flies on those hidden logs. When I got back to my minute (18) they looked at me, and then at their brand new clean bikes and asked me: Where the fuck have you been??? I looked like a swamp monster and my seat was lubrified for the rest of the day!!!!!!😂

Nice riding! I enjoyed Corduroy a ton as well! The one thing I did not like was that you didn't get a time penalty for showing up to your minute late (up to an hour). On day 2 I was having up to 8-10 guys on my minute as they just didn't 'want' to go on their earlier minute. That got super annoying trying to figure out order when randoms show up on your minute and want to race you to the first corner and then hold everyone up.
Do you ever ride in South Jersey? Definitely should come down and ride our single tracks with us.

You have no clue on what you are missing by not riding a KTM 2024 XC 300. OMG best bike ever made. I got 1st place in the Croom Enduro. (My class) The massive power saves your body a lot of energy, plus the best stock suspension ever made.

What fps are you filming in?
Sometimes it's a benefit to be put with the Expert riders if 1 of them come past you and you can hold onto his tail while riding faster than you would normally that's how you learn quickly

Would they notice if you were quick enough to change the back wheel with a brand new tyre for day 2 or is that cheating
No it’s not here (australia) if you can get it done within the time allowed. Some of the top guys can and do do it if they need to.
a lot of the pros do a tire change, some the next morning, you get an additional 15mins in the morning before the start but you aren't allowed to start the bike
You should run more of the national enduro series

mannn there's some frame rate issues ngl. just as you were talking about how good the new go pro works it hit like 18fps. the loaner footage from the other group was like 23.9fps. kinda nauseating at times.
I wish the video was playing at 1x speed. It seems to be playing at 1.10 or 1.25x
