I don't get how you can ride that much in one weekend and still keep a good place like that, and not have your body just shut down😁😁. Great job Zach and to all the riders that actually rode the whole thing. That's gnar. Great vid!
Just watched this again. Cord is coming up in six weeks! I’ve sent this compilation to my friends who have also signed up for this years Cord. Hope you make it up again this year. Cheers, and thanks again for the great video. Very thorough and entertaining!
Well done mate ,,, been there at the end like you , just spent , dropping it on other wise easy stuff , picking bad lines ,,,, just over all done .... but you pushed on ,, well done on the 2nd ,,, well deserved....
Just saw this video, awesome. This old dude from western NY rode the Cord with six buddies way back In 1972 on a 360 Yamaha. They alll dnf but I did. One guy kept on passing me on the rocks. Found out later he had three lbs in his tires. His wheels were oblong when he finished. It was a two day, 350 mile event back then.
You know how I know I was intently watching this race? I actually did remember that tight spot from Friday. Good work my dude. My biggest fear (other than getting slammed to the ground by gravity) is continually taking wrong turns.
Great riding Kiddo... that was awesome riding along with you.... as a rider you kinda go through the same decisions and emotions even though I'm only watching... haha. Superb racing. Well done. Thanks.... Regards...... Steve
If you decide to come up and ride there outside of the race look at booking a cabin or campsite at Ray's Place. They have their own private trails with lots of rock that connect to all the trail systems out there.
I had to cross a bridge like that except the guys just kept stacking pallets until it was 5 feet tall. Goddamn impossible to ride up it in the rain. Wood + mud+ rain = bad time
@@markmtbrider most of the bridges I ride in vancouver area are made from firewood. You actually get a lot more traction with the triangle shape logs and exposed wood grain!
I'm beginning to think of your videos as some kind of sick twisted variety of meditation. It's almost calming watching you go berserk. Keep it up dude. There's definitely something wrong with you and I like it. #gofastdontdie
I like the challenge of the hard enduros. They make you think and work in ways different than just holding the throttle wide open. Now and then I like the faster stuff though!
That's why I like the hard stuff so much is it kind of levels the playing field it's not just about outright speed And we have way more of the hard stuff here in east tn than we do the fast stuff
Another amazing vid and recap! Curious....I see you use the flags vs the full wraparounds? What ones you use? Looks like you also use the ASV or similar levers?
I ride these trails every weekend. I live 30 minutes away. You can ride most of the course from the corduroy with the exception of a couple spots where it ran through private property.
Nice videos man. You're voice makes everything almost funny, makes it enjoyable to watch. Your bike just seemed stuck to the ground, can I ask what tires you're running?
This race looks epic!! I wouldn't worry about the bar to bar racing, thats why its called racing!! Just sucks when you make an aggressive pass and then fall. Lmao. You did great though!!
That's the advantage of Enduro's, there isn't the increased risk like in bar to bar racing. Of course, when you're "sprinting" at your max speed through the woods, the risk of bar to bar racing doesn't sound as bad lol.
Now when you put it that way it does not. Lol. I am hoping to try a few Enduros next season. I just came off of my first season of XC racing. I grew up racing motocross. Your videos are making me itch to try some for sure!!
Man nice battle with Cam. Must be hard to ride your own line when you're pushing up from behind so close and aggressive.Gotta hug a tree….I laughed. On that metric I'm a frickin environmental extremist. Wish I had even half the skills. PS I have this idea about a vid series with people I'd like to ride with, you're on my list. PSS the waterfall is usually run the other direction and the "we have another bridge" is what is called corduroy bridge, logs dropped across swampy sections. Hence the name, Corduroy Enduro.
Suck it’s not going to go for 2020 was going to race the vintage class on a 79 cr250 lol but if it dose go and you go again check out burnt river about 40min away and it’s trails are AWSOME + a killer mx track look up burnt river off road facility !
@@za1racing Good on you for coming up here to race the Corduroy and making one of the best videos of it. An enduro vid that was actually exciting to watch!
Cold start at the beginning of a race? Hell yea
1000s of videos like this on youtube, The narration makes this one better. specifically the dudes voice and personality makes it all come together.
Very underrated channel! I hope it blows up big! Keep it up

Congratulations man. This was really impressive to watch. Probably one of the best videos you've done. Great job!

Welcome to Canada
That second “bridge” is actually called a corduroy, hints the name of the enduro
For sure, to call that haphazard collection of construction materials strewn about a bridge is being quite generous.....yikes!
I had to cross a bridge like that except the guys just kept stacking pallets until it was 5 feet tall. Goddamn impossible to ride up it in the rain. Wood + mud+ rain = bad time

Awesome Work bro
great VID
I wish they had these in Oregon. Some local clubs put on a hair scramble but it’s only once a year
Totally enjoy watching your videos of the event. I'm looking forward to doing the Butt Test next year, .. if I make it to the Sunday ;-)

18:57 Nearly gave me a heart attack
PJ Cossman, I was in a club with him about 10 years ago, hope he's doing well.
Zachatk1 do you like the faster paced stuff or hard enduro better I am torn between the two i love both

You should run an update on the conevalves after that race. Looks rougher than 40 grit.
ya almost ran over that dudes ankle! i know times are important, but us canoodians really woulda waited for him to move lol.
Seems like you've done ton of races around east coast, whats a good beginner enduro to try for a first race?
Where do you mount your GoPro is it a top mount or chin mount
Kick ass!
will you be back for 2021 version?
I really dig your videos. Are you gonna be at the Ironman? If so what class?
Is place that you can ride or just only for race event??

What happened to the 4 stroke?
Cool 😎
Just came from watching a bunch of season 3 videos
Try a awrcs there really fun ur going to love the @zackatk1
Zack are you going to ride the cord again?
Next season I plan on running the Hard Enduro's again. So long as there isn't a conflict on that weekend, I'll run the cord!
At 11:00ish, you tired from the day before? Cause that's how I ride when I'm tired.
Love chanal .. very fast
man you look so much faster on the ktm
After surviving the Corduroy, anything is possible.
You should install a horn on your bike for passing people
Haha I've thought about it. For US races that are AMA sanctioned, AMA has a rule that you can't have horns on your bike.
Go to canada bc n thers hills n mnts every wete
what state you all from ? YEEE HAA
New York

Race the awrcs series
Weird. Y Tube unsubscribed me. WTH?
What?!
Does dirtbiking/mountain biking get you in shape?
Quick answer... yes. Different levels at different disciplines. For example, Motocross riders are considered among the fittest athletes on the planet.

Very impressive racing. Fast . I wonder if taking in all that beautiful scenery makes a person go faster. Lol
