I thought this was the original story of the acolyte. A young Palpatine and how he rose to kill his master.

@@acemaster038 that’s the story I wanted too. Which is why I made this. It’s a very simple story but I feel like it would’ve been much better received than what we got.

@@justuswarren8965 me too 💯 when they first released the title ‘The Acolye’ I thought straight away that they were casting a young palpatine.

​@@kilran.starwars Honestly having the story focus on a young Sidious would be far more interesting then what we got. In fact the first episode I can think of is one of the most defining moments in Sidious' life when he killed his parents and siblings in cold blood. The episode would start off like the movie "The Usual Suspect" on the deaths of the passenger on board the shuttle/ship. Each suspect is only called by their number and we don't get to know their names. We follow the investigators as they looked at the evidence and motives and when the investigators arrest the "guilty" party we see the young in the group walking away with an insidious smile on his face. In the final scene where Sheeve was basking in his brilliance of killing his own family he hears a dark whisper going into great detail explaining how he killed his family. Sheeve looking frantically around the room to see no one.
"I see great potential in you young Palpatine."
Only to feel a cold hand grasp his left shoulder as Sheeve turned around only to see a shroud of darkness with piercing yellow eyes that brimmed with power.
"Potential for what?" Young Sheeve asked
"A Sith of course." The darkness said with a charming smile

@@jakebrook perfect!! I’m sure the overwhelming majority would prefer this! It’s gritty, it’s engaging and although we know where his character is going his journey pre episode 1 would be epic. It’s honestly what I expected when I first heard the title ‘The Acolyte’ get announced.

@@kilran.starwars Thanks. If I had control over how the Acolyte that revolves Sidious I would have the first season be a mystery/slasher show. Since Plagueis wouldn't reveal himself to Sidious just yet only appearing as a Shroud of Darkness basically testing Sidious intellect to find out who he is or he would kill Sidious. So Sidious embarks on his year-long investigation to find out where/who Plagueis. During season 1 Sidious builds up his criminal and political connections as he tries to find clues.
The second season focuses more on the Force/Sith aspect and the romance between Sidious and Mother Talzin (did they have a thing?). Along with a couple of Jedi assassinations.
The third and maybe final season shows Sidious becoming a Senator and mostly how he pushed the events that scarred Dooku and sending visions to Sifo-Dyas about the Clone Wars.

@@jakebrook I’m sure the fandom would prefer this significantly as it adds layers to the prequels. Especially aspect of the clone army, sifo- dyas, sidious’ previous connections to mother talzin all great stuff! This is all content that would unite the fandom. Disney needs to build the trust back with fandom and that’s a start 💯

nothing of it matters really, what mattered was having a good show, well writen and well directed, and well portrayed by good actors instead of stupid amandla stenberg.

@@lucass.martins1091 that’s true it really lacked direction. With Stenberg I’m sure with time she’ll develop her acting if she applies herself. But for now it’s safe to say the acolyte hasn’t delivered and I made this to show as a fan what I kind of wanted out of the show.
