I really enjoyed this video! I am a beginner quilter and already know after watching the first episode that this quilt is more than I want to take on right now. However, accurate measuring and cutting is difficult for me. Your clear instructions and demonstration are so very helpful! I will be saving this video to watch again at the start of every project I attempt in the future. Thank you!
Yes, this would not be a good beginner quilt. But the Sunshine in a Pot Sew-Along is a great beginner quilt. Or if you have some experience but still need something basic, the Old Garden Basket Quilt Sew-Along is very simple but gives a little challenge with the “Quarter Square Triangles”. If I can help you in anyway, let me know👍
I plan to make a combination of appliqued (5) and pieced (4) blocks. I want the inside squares for the appliqued blocks to be a different fabric from the outside edge. My guess is that the only background that I need to cut differently is the 8 1/2" square for the 5 blocks that I am appliquing. Does that sound correct?
@@TheQuiltersCandyShoppe Thank you for your quick response. I just purchased my largest border fabric and the 2nd largest border fabrics yesterday. I hope to be able to pull the remaining fabrics from my large stash. I am so excited about this project!
