I like your no-waste method. I love getting scraps from quilters, and I will buy them from yard sales and quilt shops. I have a hard time cutting into a larger piece of fabric, but I enjoy finding ways to use small ones.
Thanks for sharing your system for scraps. I'm catching up on my favorite TH-camrs while I cut my scraps.
I purchased your books so i could finally figure out what to do with my scraps. It took me several months but i enjoyed this process and now have everything organized 😊
Wonderful! So glad you are enjoying your stash! Make lots of gorgeous quilts!!
Yes, I also use real leftover scraps from projects to make my scrappy quilts. I do use pieces from my stash for background when I need to. Thanks for this video.❤❤❤

The Dollar Tree also has small cutting mats. It cost a dollar and a quarter. This is great for cutting small pieces and it can easily rotates.
Thanks for the tip!
I do this method. After watching, you made me feel smart😅.The only difference is I cut up my project scraps- as I go, so I never get a tub full
Thank you for this fantastic video, which makes this process much less daunting!
You are so welcome!!

What happens when you want a tumbler of that fish print that is now all diamonds and triangles? (If it isn't obvious, I wait til I know the pattern & then trim my scraps. I invariably want a differently sized piece that I trimmed to otherwise.)
Thank you for your videos. I’m in Australia and I’m a big fan of you. Im wondering where I can order your books from please.

Do you sort your template frabics in seprate containers or all together? Thank you for the video, it is appreciated.
At the beginning, I labeled a container "Templates" and organized all template fabrics within that container. As specific template fabric pieces multiplied, I separated them as needed in a container labeled appropriately! It is very handy! Happy Quilting! Lori
How do you use sprays, directly on fabrics and wait for these to dry…? Have scraps to work away on.
I simply spray them with a sizing/starch and then press them with a steam iron… I don’t soak the fabrics w/the sizing, just evenly spray them. Hope that answers your question! Have fun and happy quilting!!
Some one responded to my comment cant find it i want to buy her two books please send the link again

Do you wash your quilt fabric before cutting and sewing?
When I purchase yardage from the quilt shop, I do prewash certain colors: reds, purples, deep blues and greens... I rarely prewash neutrals such as whites, creams, beiges, etc. UNLESS there is a lot of stiffening product from manufacturing in the fabric. Typically however, when purchasing good quality fabric from quilt shops, you won't run into this issue. Hope that helps you, Helen! Happy Quilting!
Do you put water in your iron?
Yes, Mickey. I use distilled water in my iron.
