    Great video review! I was browsing our EV dataset at Predicta and couldn't believe how much customers LOVE the Ioniq 5. We measure sentiment for dimensions of the car on a 0.0 to a 1.0 scale. ALL of the dimensions for the Ioniq 5 measured above 0.9 on the average sentiment scale. Wow! I've never seen that for any of the other EVs we track! It's nice to see great video reviews, but it's also nice to know that actual customers are loving the Ioniq!

    Nice re - review! We LOVE our 22 Ioniq5 AWD Ultimate...0 complanits. It hits all the marks for my wife and I. We put on over 1000km per week and road trip a lot. So the fast charging is very nice!
    We came from a Kona EV which we put 48,000km on in 10 months of owning it. 0 problems with the Kona, so very happy with the quality of the Hyundai products and our dealer has been really good to deal with.
    No regrets.

      I've tested the long-range single motor (225hp) and it still feels quick and does 60mph in the 6.5 second range and, I suspect, will still be plenty for most people. That's last gen GTI performance out of a big, funky hatchback. I loved it.

    • @DRayL_
      @DRayL_ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MatthewGaither True. Even 6.5 seconds to 60 would be a vast improvement over my current car. The only issue I have with the single motor is that it is rear wheel drive, I believe. Now, is the motor for the single motor in the back to give weight? I'm thinking mostly of winter driving.

    • @MatthewGaither

      @@DRayL_ yes the single motor is in the rear. I bought the single motor SEL long range today and have driven both the single and dual motor back to back. At light throttle in Normal mode I cant tell a difference. Can’t go wrong either way.

Driving in town at 30mph when its raining you cant see out of the rear windscreen. One the reasons why Mach e is selling so well is because it still has tax credit, most of the competitors don’t have tax credits like Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, I believe ID4 only has half of the tax credit, so only Model Y and mach E have tax credit.

    I would still buy this EV over any other American EVs... Giving $7500 tax credits to only domestic EVs is not fair. This is why I don't touch any Fords or GMs

    Great video, but you need to explain that it is almost impossible to get one! Worse, Hyundai is keeping prices high by refusing to build more of the most desired model, keeping supply low, and demand high.

      There are currently 400+ new limited models available, with 3000+ including other trim levels. Not big numbers, but not impossible to find one if you're willing to search nationally. Many are listed at MSRP with no ADM, but of course that could change once the paper work is written up.

    Dude, you have a plethora of downloaded knowledge!
    No “umms” and the only reviewer to use “fabulous” in a car review.
    Would love to hear more personal impressions instead of facts ie: higher than a sedan but headlights are (not) shining from rear view mirror.
    Also real world mileage for 80-90mph highway driving

    Love this car, test drove one, BUT living in the NE snow belt, absolutely will not get one until it has a rear wiper. What a stupid omission by Hyundai. Sometimes what looks good on paper, doesn’t always work in the real world!
