@@angeloalbacaro8129Speed is not just about power. it’s about gearing and rev limiter as well. Bigger engine that still has similar gearing to a 450cc will do about the same top speed, if not a bit more, but it will make it there much faster and more reliably!
finally Suzuki decided to update their display to TFT screen display and got rid of that game boy looking display

@@MrMan7320you cant be serious? The gsxr600 makes close to 130hp and has full aerodynamic fairings for top speed. While the gsx8s makes around 85hp and has no wind protection for top speed.
As per usual, the speedo on Japanese bikes is purposely 5 to 6% optimistic at high speed. Lawsuits and litigation issues, that's why.
Also, aftermarket companies have been working on tunes for this bike. Gains at the top end are 10 horsepower and 9 ft-lb torque. I guarantee the machine will carry more speed with that. The 8R model coming will also cut down on wind drag and aid in speed. I'd anticipate a tuned 8R running at least GPS top speed of around 140 mph (226 kph) or more, assuming gearing allows it.
but instead of all the mods to get 10hp more, you can buy another bike :)

Thats an amazing launch, sick. Wonder how it compares to the new hornet. I don't dare to turn the TC off yet, since its brand new amd my only way of transport haha. The 8s looks a lot quicker here

I know this is an old comment but I test rode both yesterday. The Honda sounds wayyy better stock and felt faster, but that's probably since it has no windshield lol. The suzuki was mor fun to ride, especially with the quick shifter.

It's what it actually sounds like for the driver ! I get the same top speed with my XJ6 and it feels so fast ! It's scary to think that some bikes can reach 180mph without a struggle :o

the GSX-8S is just a 2 zylinder with 83hp. Your FZ6 is a 4 cylinder with 98hp. So you can't really compare.

131 mph top speed. Pitiful. This is an 800. It should be somewhere between the GSX-R 600 and 1000 for power and speed
that's not korrekt. Topspeed is alla bout power, and not displacement. The GSX-R600 an 1000 are 4-cylinder bikes with much higher revs and therefore much higher power output. The GSX-8S is only 2-cylinder bike with lower revs, and it's more made for dayly riding and not racetrack.
It's a naked bike guy it's not geared for top speed..

@@mototop_ my Tenere 700 with an exhaust can easily do 210. It's a bigger, heavier, lower power bike. The Suzuki should be good unrestricted for 230+ probably around 240 if I had to guess.

It's Slow. It's a beginner bike like the R7. Get a ZX6-R or Z900.

@@mototop_ Your bike is slow. You prefer slow 80hp beginner bikes 🙁. I tested the R7 and RS660 and they were beginner, slow, and not exciting. I will never downgrade lower than a Z900 or ZX6-R.

@@j.moto3435 what wrong with that? Every bike have its own function. Not everyone is undrenaline junkie who want to go 300kmh just for the sake of undrenaline rush it self. There's still many rider who prefer to enjoy ride and the journey excitement it self. Also this is more perfect bike to use daily than your typical 1000cc 4 cylinder bike that would turn overheat when dealing with dense city traffic.

I wouldn't say so. If I have a closer look at a dyno report, the maximum power is already at 8500rpm, and it drops just right after 9k rpm.
Pity 800 brother with that price $$, much slower even for gsx r600 even gsx/r 750 gsx S/GSR 750 😂. I think that's why Suzuki hide the 800 to 8,dont want to appear bigger CC but slower than little brother

You compare apples with bananas. The Hornet has 4 cylinder and more power, the Suzuki only has 2 cylinder and less power. It's a different concept

@@mototop_ont have dyno graph dont know egzacly but probably not higher than 9,5 k rpm shiftlaight also sugest this on 68000 rpm this engine make 75 hp almost already with max at 8500 rpm 83 hp so with this data and without dyno how good it hold power above peak its lil risky to spin it to 10 k rpm 🫣 on 1 gear its good cos diffrenc between 1 and 2 is big (and you on 1 spin lower you should spin on lower gear higher and on higher lower cos diffrenc between gearratio lenght decrease 🤭) and maybe 2 to 3 anyway i would spin it like this 👉🏻 1 gear to 10 k rpm 2 to 9,5 k rpm 3 9,5 4,5,6 somewhere between 9 and 9,5 k rpm i must watch this more precise for answer correct and precise beside dyno run must be available + you can do test at the same velocity diffrent gear comapre times than you get answer at which rpm is most power and where it drop down 👌🏻 between 8 and 9 k rpm this bike produce bigest power 👌🏻doffrenc between 1 -2=1,25 2-3=1,25 3-4=1,16 4-5=1,13 5-6=1,12 the higher gear = the lower rpm shifting points 😎👍🏻 1 and 2 the same 9,5 k rpm around rest can be lil sooner from 5 to 6 sonest not lower than 9 but not higher than 9,5 unless it hold power very good and it dont drop rapidly 👌🏻 but yea without dyno from 5 to 6 shifts at 9 k rpm where at 6 rpm start from 8 k rpm be the best way posibble 😎👍🏻 from 4 to 5 at 100-200 rpm higher from 3 to 4 at @again lil higher from 2 to 3 and from 1 to 2 where diffrenc are bigest and the same =1,25 9500 rpm be most likely perfect shifts points 😎👍🏻 cos when you shift at 9,5 k rpm on 2 and 3 gear rpm start from :1,25 = 7,6 k rpm so 800 higher than peak torq where is 75 hp almost and 900 rpm lower than peak power where is 83 hp so at 7600 be somewhere around 80 -81 hp so very goood 🌪👍🏻 vs when you shifts at 9 k rpm at 1 gear rpm starting was 7200 rpm where it have like under 80 hp 77-78 hp weelll ok no far less but still just mention 😉👌🏻dyno graph or proper test must be conducted 👍🏻 anyway yea you shifts oposit to what you should do 😂🤭🫣 probably not looose to much especiallly if it hold power good after peak 👌🏻 just mention 😉👋🏻 but with vulcan s you shifting point was fatal good they dont make rpm limiter at 13 k rpm where it have 10 hp 🤣 😁👌🏻 cos if you spin almost to rpm limiter 13 k rpm acceleration time be vorse than in royal enfield meteor 350 🥳🤣🤮👋🏻

No puedes comparar eso. La GSXS750 tiene un motor de 4 cilindros y, por tanto, mucha más potencia que el 2 cilindros de la GSX8S. Además, siempre hay que comparar las velocidades del GPS, y no lo que está escrito en el velocímetro ;)
