    "Wait for the little chime" - Do you mean the unholy screeching of the nuclear alarm buzzer that they have for a timer?

      Oh no! Our first egg cooker had a buzzer but that was changed out a while back!

      When the timer went off our first time using it, my husband looked outside and said, "Is there an air raid?" 😂

      Yeah, my spouse regrets buying this product for me. In a large home, from a considerable distance, that "nuclear chime" jolts her out of bed every morning. Crazy loud!

      Indeed - but it can be heard and it’s different from my door bells - I keep ducks and consume more eggs than most people.

    I’ve owned two, as a truck driver these are great. I did break one so my fault but so far cheap enough to replace. Used them for nearly 5 years now and love them. Find some good eggs pasture raised and it’s perfect for you, eggs are just good for you and yes even the yolk.
    Feel like I’m giving a Amazon review but hope you get my point 😅

    • @ByDash

      For three medium eggs, we recommend starting with 2 tablespoons of water in the cooker. However, you may need to adjust up to 3 tablespoons based on altitude and egg size.

    Your video shows the cover being locked into place while cooking. The Safety and Safeguards section of your manual warns "DO NOT place the Lid in the locked position while using the Rapid Egg Cooker as this will increase the risk of injury when removing the Lid once eggs have cooked."
    Which is correct?

    • @ByDash

      Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We suggest not locking the egg cooker so that steam can be released while cooking to avoid steam being released on your arm once opened. Keeping the egg cooker unlocked is the best practice!

    How long would 6 Dash boiled eggs keep in the refrigerator, with the ends pierced, then dunked in cold water, if 6 eggs steamed in a stove top pot (dunked, no punctures) keep 7 days fresh?

It finished in about 5 minutes and the whites were only barely set and still raw in the middle. I also tried a single egg hard boiled so i did the 1-3 egg side hard boil. It came out more like medium. Both times i put the straight in ice bath after it chimed. I live at about 1000ft altitude so i dont think thats the issue. Help?

I have not been able to get it to hard boil an egg yet even with adding more and more water to make it cook longer. It doesn't get the yellow done in the middle. And it doesn't get the whites done on the poach method. I was hoping to replace my Egg Pod with an appliance that would boil more than 4 eggs at a time, but this thing does not even compare to the Egg Pod in making hard boiled eggs. Depends on how you like your eggs. For instance, 4-6 hard boiled eggs takes about 15 minutes and for soft boiled it only takes 11 minutes.

    Does the size of the egg matter?

    • @ByDash
      @ByDash  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're buying eggs from the store, we recommend getting large size eggs. If you are using farm eggs and they are especially large then they may take longer to cook.

      Hey there! Thanks for reaching out. We appreciate your feedback. You can try using about 5 tablespoons of water for 1-3 eggs. Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Two questions: 1) The 7 egg cooker appears to have a cup that says "1-3 EGGS"...why is that if it's a 7 egg cooker? What do you do with 4-7 eggs? 2) On Amazon, it shows that the version used in this video is "auto shutoff" but the presenter needed to shut it off manually when the chime went. Is it auto shutoff or not? Thank.s

    • @ByDash
      @ByDash  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi 👋 thank you for reaching out! The more eggs you have the less water you need. If you're making 7 eggs, you will fill the cup to your desired boil - such as soft boil or hard boil.
      You'll fill the line to the top, if you're making 1-3 eggs. There’s less surface area with fewer eggs, which causes steam to escapes quicker than if you're making 7 eggs,
      In addition, you do need to shut off the alarm by pressing the button, but the cooking process auto-shuts off to prevent overcooking!

    I never knew eggs were wide side up...lol

    • @ByDash
      @ByDash  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, and this is because when piercing the bottom of the larger side of the eggs will not only keep them from cracking but also makes it easier to peel.

    He never said which way to face the egg on the inside after piercing it with the pin. Also, i dont want fully cooked eggs and dry yolk. I want the yolk inside to be soft, but not runny.

    • @ByDash
      @ByDash  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Make sure you pierce the wider end of the egg where the air pocket is. For a soft but not runny yolk, try using the “medium” water level in your measuring cup. We hope this helps! Let us know if you need additional assistance.

    Am I the only one confused by the fact that the water cup says one to three eggs but in no video anywhere are people filling it up more than once, even when they’re cooking more than three eggs?? I would think for six eggs you would fill it up twice.

    • @ByDash
      @ByDash  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’re not alone in wondering about that! Surprisingly, when you’re cooking more eggs, you actually need less water because the eggs themselves take up space. So, the measurement on the cup is for any additional water you’d need beyond what the eggs occupy. Hope that clears things up!

    • @ByDash
