@@cage5591 yup. I don’t see an issue with it. It’s no different than the red wedding or any death in the walking dead. the shock value and horror of the scene are what give it an impact. If I had to guess a main character being killed by a flood was pretty underwhelming when it happened and the graphic made people extremely uncomfortable. But yeah I like it. Art should make you uncomfortable and subvert your expectations.
@@ungabungacaveman9021 No no no no I’m not uncomfortable with it but the Blob being portrayed as a canabal is bizarre because he was a originally portrayed as a fairly sympathetic character who had an estranged daughter.
Issues 8 & 9 of Ultimate Power serves as a prelude to Ultimatum along with the 12-issue volume 2 limited series of Squadron Supreme (Supreme Power universe) with Ultimate Nick Fury stuck on that universe.
@@freshcomicstoriesLmao it sucks. The only good part of it is spiderman miles morales because into the spider verse was based in the ultimate timeline wherre peter partker dies.
Yeah, they should’ve never made this storyline at all. The only thing I loved about this universe was miles morales Spider-Man and he moved to earth-616.
Wait, Doom is not in the marvel zombies universe anymore because he basically disappears after we see him face off against the undead avengers so he either beat them and left who knows where or he died fighting them because the zombie avengers had the power of Galactus and proceeded to leave and eat the rest of the galaxy.
He was stuck there until Ultimate Future Foundation at the tail end of Ultimate Marvel Universe. Because in that story he came back from that universe.
I like this one because the alternate reality versions I hate get killed. I hated this universe so much I stole this graphic novel from my lcs read it and gave it away. But good vid bad music I love ya
She left to go find Atlantis? What the fuck. So I see ultimatum was just jumping the shark on all fronts so that people would be ok with ending the ultimate universe b Edit: when this first came out, did marvel make it clear that they wanted to end the ultimate universe?
It wasn't at all clear; The editorial team at the time were giving different answers, depending on who was being asked. The big rumor is that Marvel *did* want to end the Ultimate Universe, but changed their minds. With that said, I don't think the current writers of Ultimate (Bendis, Millar, etc.) actually *wanted* to end it, and editorial/corporate was just stepping all over their feet.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. They usually do. Every once in a while, they try to reinvigorate a flagging title by changing the numbering, only to backtrack when they realize that isn't helping. If that's what you mean, I concur. Now, if you mean the numbers for this video don't really sync up, well, that is easily explained. Ultimatum is an event with six issues and they go in a linear path, the other numbers have to do with the tie-ins, which are their own solo books. Spider-Man has his own book, I think X-Men and Fantastic Four had their own books at the timeslot, hence the different numbers.
@@sertorrhenclegane Marvel and DC: In order to understand this story you need to read x-men #1-4, then spider-man #15, then x-men #5-7, then the punisher #30-32, then x-force #70, then x-men.... Manga: You read our 1 book line from start to finish.
@@ericneo2 Okay. I see what you are saying. I would argue that most of the stuff isn't a necessity. An event shouldn't need to have tie-ins, but they're just an added bonus. For example, I don't need to read the tie-ins to understand what's happening in an event book like Infinite Crisis because the writer covers the main points in the book itself, but reading what happened in, say, Justice League or Superman just adds a little more perspective on the situation.

That was actually my first comic I got on my bday when I was 14 or so. I thought that was really brutal and cool but not happy it had to be wasp
Damn dude, doing the main story and the tie-ins, what a mad lad
Is it bad that I like this storyline 😂😂
No , it’s more realistic of what would happen if they existed in the real world tbh

Agreed, one of my very favorite marvel stories.Outstanding artwork courtesy of Mr Finch at the top of his game.

I liked the crazy chemistry Hulk & Spider-Man had in this.
This event was awesome as long as spiderman survived I'm good thank you for this video man you did yo thing in the narration 😂💯
My new favorite comic channel!!!
Man Peter Parker is a player in the ultimate universe
He's the most popular marvel character of course marvel will throw him in to make more money lmfao.
He parks his Peter everywhere
Gwen, MJ, Liz Allen, Kitty Pryde, Black Cat, and those are just the actual relationships. Jean Grey and Storm make a pass at him as well XD
😂 Johnny being Hot for the female clone of Peter is hilarious to me 😂 😂 that’s so Johnny
Gotta say the character designs for this storyline were so cool!

I do like this story for making spider man try to save as many people as he can.
Ultimate Spider-Man >>>>>> MCU Spider-Man
Stryder's plan is so stupid lol, but frankly also pretty believable
Ultimatum is the worst story I've ever seen the statue of liberty came to life just for that one scene
I thought it was dormamu illusion
I could 100% see a disney+ series for this on the mature section

If you take out all the pointless shock-value deaths then it was be an average story with good elements. Especially the Spider-Man part.
Thank you
