Thank you for the positive feedback, Nhoj. I hope I am getting better with each new video. I have a bunch of videos on this van that may be helpful to you.
@@unclemarksdiyauto Thats great, Mark....I own the 2008 chrysler town country 4.0 and the camera and stereo quit one day. apparently it holds a hard drive and has over 700 tunes on it. I wouldn't know where to start to trouble shoot. Thanks for great videos on such a popular model...
Very good video! Took your time and showed where the tricky parts are. One “suggestion” on removing the nuts within the assembly and not losing them. Could you not add a small piece of something sticky, even a piece of gum just to hold the nut in the socket? Just a thought.
You could also lightly wrap the socket around the nut with masking tape just enough that the nut does not fall out, but tight enough on the socket so the tape stays on the socket. Great idea and suggestion you have, Golf Guy! Thanks for chiming in!
Worked for me only big difference, the screws for my brake light were 7mm not 5.5mm. This was for a Vw Routan. reassembly of the spoiler is very tedious lol
Good to know, Polychro. Interesting that they would not use the same bolt sizes. Either way, I am glad you got your high mount working. You saved your self a few bucks for sure. Thanks for watching and for your comment. It is always nice to know if and when a video is helpful.
@@unclemarksdiyauto yea cause the Chrysler Dodge and VW are almost the same car, esp all the logos on the inside of the car have the chrysler logo lol, Only issue i have i need to take off the spoiler again, cause the plastic pieces went missing and then one of the 10mm mounts then when i finally got it back on they appeared at the bottom of the door. I was also changing the right light mount on the gate, so they must of somehow came out from there. Overall thank you for this Video.
Well I tried. Never had one off before, so Imdid my best. I didn't break anything so that is always a plus! LOL! Poor van needs a bit more attention. Summer tires, and rear brakes. Also have a gas cap message. Cleaned the filler neck. Didn't help. Bought a MOPAR cap from the dealer. Message was gone for a while but message has come back. (Not sure how many cycles it takes to turn it on)
@@unclemarksdiyauto the running lights in the rear hatch,i figured out the plate light, the 3rd brake light i just was curious on how to replace the LED bulbs.
@@gpweaver Hey, Red Green is pretty popular! Thanks! Your content is pretty boring too! Just ask your 12 subscribers! I usually can take some constructive criticism, but your channel doesn’t post and explain how to do anything.
@@unclemarksdiyauto Actually, I really like your video! Of course, I like Red Green''s sped-up B&W videos--they're the best part of the show. Yours just doesn't have, "Oh, oh... now Mike's in the creek. Shouldn't have done that" I was fully waiting for a, "And there goes that nut, right into the frame." Yeah, my channel's pretty much just...useless, except for the vacuum part install (posted so people who buy my part off eBay don't destroy it trying to fit it in.) @@gpweaver all good. This video was not my best for sure. I do love a good Red Green episode. He sure had some ideas! Are you driving a Caravan, or were you just watching random videos suggested?
@@unclemarksdiyauto Hell, this video's perfect--jumps right into how to make the repair without 20 minutes of exposition (to hit those precious TH-cam metrics). Watching videos at 1.25x - 1.5x is a good way to cram info--the speech is still understandable but the action's sped up. I gotta replace the lamp in my oldest son's Caravan that he "inherited" when his mom got a new SUV. We just spent 8 hours putting on new control arms, ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar links, and brakes (plus replacing a stuck caliper), only to have it fail state inspection because that damned light went out at some point in the 3 days between when we gave it the quick once-over and when we dropped it off for inspection. Murphy's Law. I once had a headlight go out *while I was pulling the car into the garage to be inspected.*
There is 4 screws to hold it down, and on clip in the middle to hold it down? Because on my 2014 spoiler it looks like there might be 6 paces for screws. I havent took of the liner inside to see the screws from inside yet.
Now you have me thinking. Either way, it will be very similar. Once you have the inside plastic off, you will be able to tell. I honestly don't recall on the newer ones, Dean.
Mine blew of in the wind. I bough my van 3rd hand, there must have been a problem with the heating in the rear window, they washed it with the wrong stuff. The plastic on the spoiler needs to be fixed to be able to hold the screws. I have to melt the plastic, and add to them to thicken them all up. On top of it all the light's on the dash all went on, and the wind shield wipers, lol. Drove me crazy, still can't find the reason. Do you have any tips??? Any video's you recommend?@@unclemarksdiyauto
This video is perfect. All the hiccups and the shots with arrows. Amazing! Thank you

Do u have video for taking the rest of plastic off rear hatch to replace running lights?
