    No need for a cold air intake if you have a nice intercooler. Grab that hot engine bay air! ;)
    Super cool kit!

    Most of the gain in performance will come from the tune in this kit. If you want to make big power, the best bang for the money is a tune, upgraded turbos, and a larger intercooler. Using E-85 if it's available in your area is also a plus. You'll spend less and make more power.

      U can put e85 in f150 eco boost ?

    • @hu3.789
      @hu3.789 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@conspiracykicks4655 You can run a mix of E-85 and pump gas in 2011-14 F-150s so that it's E-30. 2018-2020 Ford F150s with the 2.7 can run E-85 on the factory fuel system. There are flex fuel kits available for other F-150s. For example, Livernois Motorsports sells a kit for 2017-2019 Ford F150s with the 3.5l Ecoboost.

      Up to and around 75 more HP and around 100 ft/lb more torque which is around 520 ft/lbs. Generally need to run premium gas to get the most out of the kit. All in all it'll put your 2014 and earlier closer to the Gen2 EcoBoost specs. Ford left a lot of performance on the table with the tuning, but I get it with gas mileage being a huge marketing factor, their trying to be as 'green' as possible. I think the high-flow exhaust is the biggest gain here.

      Yeah I have a 2014 and this CARB compliance is a real pain in the rear. Dont feel like swapping the CAT every time I need to get smogged. Or do I? Maybe its worth it he he. Other kits have an option (for the programming) to switch everything back to stock on the fly just for this.

    A lot of this is straight myth. The numbers are very dependent on where you live and what you do, but there are MUCH cheaper and better options for what you want to do to your truck than this. You want power? you need to tune to your fuel, altitude, and normal operation. there is NO magic bullet. Step in the right direction but there need to be a lot of other things in place...

  • @LoboLooq
    @LoboLooq 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why would you mention the throttle body working with the intake? At no point do those even connect... the intake doesn’t feed the TB LOL. You know the cold side afe pipe would feed the TB right?
    Also intercoolers don’t add power they help persevere it. So many flaws in this ad lol

    • @davey3765
      @davey3765 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting... Yeah inter-coolers add efficiency, the air gets too hot and efficiency drops, thats it. Now, how about that condensation issue? I put a self-tapper in the bottom of mine and drain it every year then put the tapper back in (I rarely have much water in mine just a few seconds of a drizzle and its empty). Does this have a drain or need it? Like I said earlier I think most of the performance is really gained from the high flow exhaust for the hardware. ECU/ECM tuning does most of the rest with all the rest.
