Not all of this Info is true and correct..you can use your old housings and save over half the cost on the build..
Appreciate these videos. Am looking forward to turbos as a future upgrade. I am currently in the process now of doing the exhaust manifolds (CR Performance) as I have the infamous stud breakage on the OEM ones.. However, the manifolds are on back order as are a couple gaskets from Ford.. So, I wait. Trying to do all the things I can prior to needing tuning... At that point I will get the turbos.. I am confident enough to do those myself... What I am not sure about is replacing the broken studs on and aluminum head, EEEK!!!
Did you ever receive your manifolds? I'm only asking as I'm in the same situation of trying to order some and I can't find any anywhere.

These are perfect, I can upgrade my turbos and still pass the visual inspection for smog.
Just subscribed. I have a 2019 3.5 eco boost. Downpipe, intake and tune. I now have just over 500HP but it still does not feel fast enough. The mod shop tells me if I get bigger turbos I loose torque and low end. I just want to upgrade as much as I can to make this truck super fast. If I buy these and re tune will I gain more HP and Torque ? I do not daily drive this it stays covered in my garage 12k mikes no lift. Please help me make a speed demon
Upgrade your fuel pump & run e85.
Sell that pos intake because you don't need it & use that $ to help fund something useful.

will the vehicle pass emissions tests after a mod like this? other turbo companies have claims that they would NOT pass emissions standards, but CR doesn't include any warnings on their webpage.
Done turbo upgrades but what would I need to change on my tune? Stock tune had BOV going off every 2 seconds at cruising speed

How much can these 3.5 liters handle?
At the moment I'm running sound like racing cold air intake a bully dog extreme chip and a cat attacking a borla Cat-Back exhaust extreme and I'm cranking a hair over 500 horse and looks like somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 lb of torque and I got it's fast but I was still thinking about well only thing I could think about was bigger turbos are they going to get me out of the hole quicker and get me through 1150 feet quicker than 93 miles an hour
Yes, the bigger turbo volume should help a lot! They also offer stage 4 and stage 5 turbos if you wanna push even harder

These turbos seem pretty small. Pretty sure the factory 18+ turbos are around this size. They are also over 600whp on stockers.

J D, LMFAO! So let me understand this, you're saying that the stock turbos are good for 600whp?!
With a modest 15% drivetrain loss, that would be 705 hp at the crank from stock turbos?! Please give us a link on who has those power numbers.
@@zzzzVIDEOSzzzz 5 Star tuning. I think they did 608whp and 660wtq, upgraded fuel system, full E85, a host of other mods.
I haven't dyno'ed my truck, but with a race weight of 4900 with me in it, I ran 11.96@111mph, on the base E50 tune, 3" resonator pipe, and drop in panel filter. Estimates put me around 520-530whp. Again, on their base tune.
The guys over at 5 star tuning use these CR Performance turbos, but I believe those power numbers would probably be from the Stage 4 or Stage 5 version. As I describe in the video, These are "stock turbos", but they have been re-worked and remanufactured to provide a higher level of performance.

Hey man do you know any place near Dallas tx that can tune them to my car went to ford they said they couldn’t and went to a dyno tuner and he’s been in it for weeks and says he can’t turn the boost up and they’re telling me to go stock again so now It feels as if I’m back at step one

Anyone that doesn’t blow up your motor..I’m running 20 psi..on stock without issues..also he isn’t correct you can use your old turbos which saves you about 1500 bucks on the build cost..

No, this is a direct replacement and can produce great results without any other supporting mods, but we do recommend an intercooler at minimum.
No but if your going to really tune the turbos up it’s a good idea..I’m going to run their stage 5 turbos good for 800 hp but on a stock motor I’m keeping the boost down for awhile
What about companies claiming 500 whp on e50 tune stock turbos
Well thats on ethanol, this would be pump gas. Not equal
@@williamjackson1482 agreed but video claims stock turbos are maxed out at 400hp. If a turbo is maxed out it does matter if you put unicorn farts in it your not getting another 100hp. They are getting 500hp with stock turbos and a e50 tune so they are not maxed out at 400hp
skigod9 not true you can tune more aggressively with e85 squeezing more power from the same boost number due to e85 less prone to pre detonation.

skigod9 for sure duramax tuner has a setup for e85 thats 140 ish rwhp just with that puts you at or above 500
What is stronger in the f150, the 6 speed auto or the 10 speed in stock form? I'm trying to find out if it is worth it to upgrade my f150 3.5. It has the 6 speed.
go test drive a 10 speed. The decision will likely be made... i love my 10 speed, it is basically always in the power band.
@@drewfoster1493 Agreed. Jacob the Ecoboost get's its full power in low RPM, a 5.0 has to rev high to get full power. That 10 speed puts you in the power band at all times at around 2000 RPM. Full power is only at 3000 RPM roughly. That's insane!
I'm wondering if this would work on a 15' 3.5 ecoboost expedition? Should be the same engine as the F-150 right?
