I just want to say that I love the meguiars ultimate products. It's all I use, and by the time I get done, my car looks like a mirror and it looks wet and deep. Thank you for awesome products
Wash - 2 buckets with grit guards , Drying - Waffle wave towels and blow dry, Decontamination - I would Iron removal before clay, and if you clay, you MUST polish. Polishing should not be an optional step for a Show car :-) )
Waterless wash works great when water isn't available specially when living in a apartment and when carwashes are closed in the area due to a world wide pandemic 😩 all in all Maguire's products are awesome been using them for over 10 years on my vehicles 👍
That clay kit is awesome. New to it. But it worked beautifully. Couldn't believe of all the stuff that came off The standard, not ceramic.. And make sure you keep the surface extremely wet, overly wet as you do it
Glad you gave it a shot. To those outside the detailing world clay is typically a bit of a strange concept to grasp but after using it the first time you really can see the results it creates. 👍 Thanks for the feedback!
Hi, I just Clay bared, Compound, Polish and Wax, You said to wax three to four times a year . My question is when I get ready to Wax again, should I re-polish with my DA, then add the wax? Or just wash and wax? Thank you.
That is a very broad question and difficult to answer without more details of exactly what step of the process you are referring to and what you are hoping to accomplish. Generally speaking using our Hybrid Ceramic line of products to maintain a coating would be the best choice.
@@meguiars sorry for the broad question. I'm actually new to car care as I just got my first car. I have yet to get a ceramic coating but am interested to get it done before winter. Hope that helps
Yes, cleaner waxes are known as all-in-one products because they remove minor defects, polish, and protect in one step. If you are going to using a multi-step approach you would typically choose different individual products.
You can use any of our spray detailers, car washes, and even our Ultimate Quik Wax or Hybrid Ceramic Wax. You do have to stay away from traditional compounds, polishes, and waxes. If you want to talk through specifics feel free to reach out to our Solutions Hub. www.meguiars.com/contact-us
Do you have to repeat all the steps when applying your wax every 3-4 months as recommended? If it’s a brand new vehicle, do you still start at step #1? Thanks.
Steps 2 and 3 are optional as they really depend on the condition of the paint and your desire for it. It is certainly possible to only need a good wash and wax.
How often can i Apply the ultimate wax with a soft pad and a DA 15MM FLEX fe 15 not forced? I have the White pad from rupes. We dont have meguiars pads in Brazil Anymore
@@meguiars sorry, I said ultimate wax but I want to say ultimate polish. How often can I use it ? Using it with a softpad like Rupes white pads, it will remove many clear coat in long run of use? Ultimate polish let the car with a really wet look. My car is black. I love this product.
It is primarily polishing only with very fine abrasives to remove minor defects. It is so mild there really is not much of a chance of every running into an issue as long as you are not over aggressive with your application. You can basically use it as much as you want or need.
Just saw this video and just bought a new Lincoln. I already have the gold car wash. If I understand this right, I Should be using the ultimate polish and wax followed by the ultimate detailer as needed correct?
We recommend two thin coats but that is simply ensuring you have goo even coverage. It does not mean you have two full coats and double the protection.
Depends on what you mean by better? If you are looking for a natural carnauba wax M26 High Tech Yellow Wax would be a good choice. The Ultimate Wax on the other hand is a purely synthetic formula that will offer better/longer protection. The Ultimate Liquid Wax also has the added benefit of not leaving a white residue on trim. Hope that helps.
Not really sure what you are asking here? Yes, we recommend you use the two bucket method when you wash and washing once a week is a good practice for most people on their daily drivers.
Keep in mind the best shine is also very much related to proper prep work before the application of wax including the polishing step. As far as the best protection our Hybrid Ceramic Waxes would offer the best protection by way of "wax".
Meguiar’s Show Room Car Glaze #7 vs Ultimate Polish vs Deep Crystal Polish. Which is best? They all say for dark colors and multiple reps have suggested different products.
Deep Crystal Polish is discontinued so that is not an option anymore. M07 Show Car Glaze has been out for decades and the sworn favorite of many car lovers. It is a solid pure polish that will give a great shine. You really can't go wrong. The Ultimate Polish does have a little cleaning (defect removing) capability although very very mild. Not sure if you need that or not. It can also in some cases be difficult to work with if too much is applied. The reality is both are good options for most people. Hope that helps a little.
Meguiar's I don’t have the enclosed area do use ceramic and there aren’t any shops that can apply ceramic near me. So, I am looking for the next best option. So far, I’ve found that a wash, clay bar, show room glaze, ultimate liquid wax and hybrid ceramic wax (in that order) would be the best options available to me. At least, this is what I’ve been told.
Not sure exactly what you mean here but there are products like our Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax that are designed exactly for that. They have have more lubricants in them than a typical detail spray and used with good microfiber towels can indeed safely "wash" a car without water.
do i need to use ultimate polish after i use ultimate compound on the whole body of my car? ... i'm worried the clear coat is getting thinner..if I don't want to polish..and continue to wax the car and apply sealant .. is it enough for my car paint care? my car is 2 years old..but there are too many watermarks on the car paint..plus it has fine scratches and swirls.help me..
The compound is what will help remove the water spots, fine scratches and swirl marks. Whether or not you use polish after compounding and before wax is a personal choice likely based on the condition and color of the paint as well as your personal desires for it. If it is a darker color and you want to treat it like a show car giving it the best shine possible you may want to also consider polishing. If it is a lighter color and/or you are satisfied with the good shine that the compound and wax offers you can skip the polishing step. Keep in mind most waxes have some polish in them as well so you are not entirely missing polish. None of these products should cause concern for the safety of your paint. They are incredibly mild and safe.
How long any protection/wax lasts is highly variable and depends on a number of factors related to the condition of the paint, previous prep, and the environmental elements the vehicle is exposed to. That being said for most daily driver use vehicles we recommend waxing at least 3-4 times per year.
Can Hybrid Ceramic Quik Clay Kit be used before the Compound or a 3-in-1 step? I am only asking because with the quick ceramic detailer it contains, it puts a layer of protection on it.
Waxing 3 to 4 times a year for real? That’s not enough out here in Las Vegas Nevada. The 110F degree weather will beat up clear coat and paint Fast. i wax once every 2 months.
3-4 times a year is a general minimum assuming a daily driver in moderate conditions. If you live in a more extreme/harsh environment more may certainly be necessary. 👍
paint care is pointless in az ,,, your paints clear will always fail.. i tryed , i baby my car, after 6 years my clear is turning white ... clear coat failure .. you are better off leaving it dirty atleast it protects it from sun
Claying and/or using a compound would do that. Keep in mind stripping the previous wax is not always vital because frankly there may not be any wax left on the surface anyway and again, if you are planning to clay and/or compound that would remove any remaining wax.
I just want to say that I love the meguiars ultimate products. It's all I use, and by the time I get done, my car looks like a mirror and it looks wet and deep. Thank you for awesome products

Yes, that would be a good plan and is the correct order to use those products in. 👍
So is this considered a paint correction ? What would you call this service?
Paint correction is step 2 of this process.
Wait... no 2-bucket washing system???
Likely too much to cover in a short video introduction to the 5 steps. The "How to Wash your Car" video definitely covers the 2 bucket method.
this is ultimatly cool
Can I apply more coats of paste wax for added protection?
Or does only 1 coat really stick?
We recommend two thin coats but that is simply ensuring you have goo even coverage. It does not mean you have two full coats and double the protection.
Is M26 Meguirs Yellow wax better than Ultimate liquid wax?
Depends on what you mean by better? If you are looking for a natural carnauba wax M26 High Tech Yellow Wax would be a good choice. Will Ultimate Wash and Wax harm my vinyl wrap? If so, what do you reccomend?
Not at all. It would be safe on your vinyl wrap. 👍
So is unnecessary 2 bucket method weekly in the maintenance step?
Not really sure what you are asking here? Yes, we recommend you use the two bucket method when you wash and washing once a week is a good practice for most people on their daily drivers.
When can use Meguiars Scratch X2.0 after cleaning or before or after compound ?
ScratchX is a compound. It should be used exactly as a compound is to remove defects in paint. This is step #2 in our 5 steps of paint care.
Meguiar's I got it now , use ScratchX #2 , then polish #3
To keep the car topped up what's different between washless wash and ultimate detailer spray?
If just "topping up" either would be fine. If the car is dirty you would want to use the Waterless Wash to safely clean the car.
Hi. Do you need to wash after claying, before polishing?
(claying with Meguiar's kit; i.e., with the QD)
No, unless somehow in that time frame a bunch of dust or dirt landed on the surface.
What wax gives the best shine and protection?
Keep in mind the best shine is also very much related to proper prep work before the application of wax including the polishing step. As far as the best protection our Hybrid Ceramic Waxes would offer the best protection by way of "wax".
