So back in the 70's when I was a kid skiing here The Cliff ran into Hellgate at the bottom where Hellgate takes a right hand turn , there is an area with a lot of large rocks and no trees . It was steep somewhat like Upper crossover. Here is another oldie , Dropoff way back was called lower Hellgate . Its not shown on the old maps but I have a good memory !!
