    What if the low beam light is not working and the bulb is new and the fuse is good? Would you advise to replace the whole headlight assembly or just the ballast if that were to be the problem?

    Hi
    I have a 2011 Mazda 6 five door hatchback and have a fault on the front windscreen washer motor when using the controls on steering column.
    I’ve changed the wiper control arm the motor checked the fuses but still won’t wash. Is there a relay that needs checking in the circuit?
    Thanks

    Nice. In my case a new fuse died immediately after replacing, and then another one. So it is not enough to replace it, sometimes it is useful to know why they are burning out.

    • @diesel5355
      @diesel5355 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why was yours burning out?

    • @KIVagant
      @KIVagant ปีที่แล้ว

      @@diesel5355 , I am not an expert in cars at all. I ended up going to a car service and they had to replace some thing that is attached to the front light. The light bulb was okay (and I bought 2 more thinking that it burned out). In total the repair costed me something around $600-700. Unfortunately I have forgotten the name of that component they replaced, but since then lights are working well.

    If u replaced ur beam, fuse and still nothing, check for power at the ballast connector, if u have good ground and power, u have a bad ballast.

      @@JosiahNorcutt Hi. I was told a new assembly was needed. The cause was a crack in the light. Water eventually got into it and shorted out the light.
      When it arrived, the cord it came with to plug the light back in, was way too short. So, they, (shop) ended up, not using the new assembly. They completely dried out the assembly and the low beam started working again. They asked me for permission to just seal up the cracked light. As long as it saved me money, I was fine with it. We just sold it last summer. Right after that, everything started going wrong with it. Got one thing fixed, something else happened. Hope you have better luck with your Mazda.

    You are an amazing mechanic, I only watch your videos when I need to repair something. I'm from Alabama, USA, and I have a hard time understanding you. I know there's nothing you can do, that is the only not great thing about this channel. I guarantee you that if you heard my backwoods, country boy accent, you wouldn't be able to understand me. Does anyone know where the grounding points on a 2007 1st gen Mazda 6 are? My bulbs are good and I swapped the relay to rule that out, the fuses are good too. I would bypass the switch to check it's not that if I knew the colour codes for the low beam. The problem is intermittent so it's got to be a loose connection somewhere I think.

      if you travel anywhere outside of continental USA, you might learn a few things about that.
