This video was incredibly useful to me. With the locking pin retracted you can see the position of the green knob at 1:00. When the locking pin is extended but not on the car, you can see at 1:16 that the green knob is rotated about 150 degrees. I was expecting the same result when I attached my towball to my car, however, as you can see at 2:07 it only rotates about 45 degrees when locked in position. I thought there was something wrong with my towball!

Great video thank you. One thing to add for those fitting this to a Range Rover Sport (2010). The holes in the chassis where the bolts go through are quite large and the bolt will drop through the chassis hole unless you add a washer or two. I can just about see that you use washers in this video, it’s not mentioned but it’s absolutely required fitting to an RRS
Hi Jay, cheers for another super video I have been thinking of getting a tow bar so this was spot on. Ive just bought a D4 HSE, I had a mate look at it for me so I actually bought it unseen. I love the thing but wondered what can I do to make it better. I am keen to do some work on it myself. One issue I do have is the radio does not perform the best struggling to provide good clear reception on DAB and sometimes FM. Im keen to do any recommended upgrades but wondered where would you recommend for any upgrades or parts please and what if any upgrades or changes would you recommend o the standard model.
Hi Jonty, sounds like you have a poor aerial connect.
On the upgrades it really depends on what you plan to do with your D4 i.e. off road, overland or general comfort on the road.
I tend to stick with known brands of Teraferma and Prospeed, then for supply Bearmarch often have 15% off days.

Used these hitches on Disco 3 and Disco 4 and had no issue at all towing all sorts of trailers. and vans.

I loop my breakaway brake cable through the loop next to the electrics, super secure as it’s attached to the car….
Why in Europe land rover come with J style hitch vs the 2in square hitch that come on usa also there a aftermarket bolt in that won't break off as some owners has complained about and showed photos the main question is , how strong is the ome and maximum towing and tounge weight 🤔

you need to grease the moving parts and put some oil in the keyhole.
A dry lube is the best. Grease attracts dust and grit, making it even worse.
