I think the 'Real world' video is the best approach - nobody will be watching this because they installed and removed the hook without a problem. Keep up the good work!
Very nicely done, many thanks for sharing the truth! I think that was a very important thing to cover as the noise from spring sounded pretty solid, so if you have done this before you could have found yourself dropping some thing even worse than a sausage!
a friend recently lost a 3 ton trailer because the hitch fell out... Nobody was hurt, but I wonder if he had watched this maybe the problem would have been avoided all together? EXCELLENT video. Should be compulsory viewing for anybody planning to tow with one of these...
Hey guys. Thanks for this. Mine also failed about 4 times before I got it fixed in properly! Hate to think what might have happened if I’d have just left it!
Yes we donhave a permanent tow bar on our Disco 4 that we use for towing - you will see it at the end of the video - but as you see it still has a removable part as the main part of the design..
Hi guys good to know that about it not going in first time am about to put a new one into my 09 rrs, Have you done a video about the wiring 4 lights Thanks
Does any company offer a reasonably priced hidden hitch version for the L494? I know, I know, nothing Land Rover is ever reasonable but hitches are pretty mainstream so wasn't sure if you knew of a version that is similar to an aftermarket version but hidden. Thanks!
Is it hard to fit a velar tow bow kit , main dealers had car for a full day and still not done , dealer said rear cam needs set up and at a cost of 3000 dollars Aud . Can't find any info
I was going to get one but they're like $500! Then the way the lock will interferer with the safety chains and just overall looks like a really poor design. I wouldn't feel comfortable towing much of anything with that hitch. but thank you for the video.
Hi sorry to be off topic but could you make a video about how to install a hybrid tv tuner at the boot with all the cables and how to install video in motion adaptor or bypass cable? This is for the L322 Range rovers 2002-2005. Preserving the original Satnav unit. Like all your videos very informative. Cheers
Hi - we have done a couple of these type of things but we are not really that up on this stuff - if you send me a link to the item we could buy one and give it a go...

I also had debris in that nook that was stopping the hitch from locking into place properly. Your video helped me figure out what was wrong. Thanks!
Very helpful video. What about the wiring loom to connect the lights for the trailer?
That's a nice knob you have there! With a Big head! Superb video!!

Super video, way more education with the real world example.

Hi - thanks for the comments - its not as clear as it could be that the hitch is fully connected.
Good to see the fail, great video. So important to get that solid reassuring click and see the red band disappear.

The first Discovery didn't have the electrics in. Do you have to fit the electrics after or at point of purchase, or are they in as standard?
Great Video, will this work on RR sports 2020 model?
That’s great really helpful.thank you
Glad it has helped... with 14K views so far this must be a common problem !
Great demonstration to get yourself a permanent tow bal instead.

Makes for a good seat for some
On the discovery...your guy said it is okay to be left in is that true...
Is this the same for the Defender 210?
Do you still have to install the electrics to hook up lights for your trailer your connecting to?
Good point not all cars have electrics fitted

Are they 3.5 tonne towing capacity? Manual seems to say so but see a few funny things online about them. Great videos too on the discos
Yes these are 3.5T rated... i you are doing a lot of towing you can get the heavy duty one that have the etra supports.
👍thanks for that.
? Electrics? Please answer
Do these range rovers usually come with the tow hook inside the boot or would it be something you’d have to purchase?
They are expensive so it would be your lucky day to find one in the boot !
Is this process the same for a 2008 sport HST?
100% the same
Can you fit a caravan stabiliser to this tow hitch??
Yes its the same too ball end so no issues
Mine does not have a removable panel 😁. Any idea?
So there is no removable panel in your rear bumper - this seems a little strange... can you clarify ? share a picture ( link ) ?
Hello! Just watched your video, do you sell them? Or know the best place to buy one? Thanks A

Feel like a moron but does anyone know where to find it???

Too much complication for aesthetic. The American way is far superior. Sometimes simplicity is better for safety.
How to fail on installing toe hitch on Range Rover sport / discovery 3/4 😂
