    I have been looking for an example of a solution consultant demo with the actual PowerPoint presentation being discussed but after I watched your video it gave me a clear idea how to perform the mock demo/presentation. I just hope there is a presentation being shown but your explanation got things clear up so thank you!

      Same feeling as I was watching the video and I was not even done yet but my confidence got boosted! I just wish he can provide a link or show the presentation template as I have zero knowledge in creating one 😁

    Thanks for the great tips Patrick. I struggle a lot with the next steps. Oftentimes, the prospect doesn’t want to commit to a meeting until we send them follow up material & pricing to discuss internally. What do you recommend doing here? Many thanks!

    Ive been tasked for my next interview to give a presentation. But the Discovery section is meant to be part of the presentation as well.. So within oeder of things, what part of the presentation should the discovery go into? The start right? Just after the intro and setting the agenda?

  • @allsports13

    Great video man! Do you use a slide deck for either your discoveries or demos? Would love to see it even if its generic.

    • @allsports13
      @allsports13 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also who is writing these contracts? Are they not just a universal contract or are you tailoring it to their needs specifically

    • @demotoclose
      @demotoclose 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't recommend spending time going through a slide deck on your demos. Prospects want to see the software in action, not a pitch deck.
      The only time I'd say a deck could be helpful on a demo is if:
      - you want to share an agenda
      - you want to share discovery notes from the original call
      - you want to show case studies
      - you want to show onboarding/timeline
      - you want to show pricing

      @@demotoclose what if you have a interview where you do not know the platform like that?

    • @demotoclose
      @demotoclose 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Jodie514
      I'd recommend setting up a free trial of the platform (if they have one) and playing around with it to see how it functions. That's more impressive to a hiring manager than someone going through a slide deck (trust me I know b/c I've been a VP of sales multiple times and hired a bunch).
      If you don't have that option, then sure, slide decks will work - but make sure you're going through it like a story and not a boring presentation.
      Ways you can make it sound like a story is by saying things like...
      "Imagine if/that..."
      "One day..."
      "Last week I spoke to..."
      "Someone asked me..."
      Tell a story.
      Let me know if this helps.

      @@demotoclose thank you that helps(: . I do have access to the platform and it's pretty complex so I can only do a bit with the UI and will have to get creative. I am going to try and focus on 2/3 paint points. I have a few slides lined up, but am curious how do you make the slides more engaging?

    hey patrick i have a hard time controlling the process after the first demo, often clients just fade out or postpone our follow ups, do you have any tips?

    • @demotoclose
      @demotoclose 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Justus, what I'd recommend (without knowing much about your use-case) is ask "post feature feedback" questions throughout the demo to check if what you've shown your prospects is a fit. Most salespeople don't do this and end the call having no idea what the prospect thinks about the product.
      Ask them questions at the end of the call about their thoughts/concerns:
      "What concerns do you have about what I showed you?"
      "What wouldn't work for you with this solution?"
      "What do you feel you would need to see in order to consider using it?"
      Hope this is helpful, Justus
