I have my M2. I did inverted with a 5800X3D and a RTX 4070 cooling with a Thermaltake Assassin 120 mini. I have a Noctua 120mm 15mm under the power supply bottom front and two more of the same fans on top sucking air in onto the GPU. I have a Noctua 92x23mm fan helping to push the cpu air out. The machine is so quite even under full load playing Cities Skylines 2. It’s amazing. I’m very happy with my M2.
So your GPU is at the top the case and two fans intaking air on to it? And for your fan under the power supply is that intake as well? I’m having a hard time imagining where your CPU is positioned in this setup and where the 92mm exhaust fan goes. Seems like your build has more intake than exhaust which will help keep dust out.
I wonder what temps would look without the top exhaust just side intake. It'd be nice to not have to buy a second bracket and just one high quality fan. Is it possible to put a 90mm fan at the rear? Thanks for the vid.

Can we get an inverted build with 280mm AIO ? Would gladly tip for one ! I did my first SFF build thanks to you, 4 years ago (with a NR200). Best channel for building SFF... Keep it up !
I'm not sure I understood - @26:53 why would a rear exhaust/side Intake conflict with an RTX FE airflow/cooling design? Seems that would be ideal as both are rear exhausting? Also is there always an bottom opening at the rear under the GPU?? Looks unsightly.
Simple, the FE fan on the front throws air to the back of the card where that side fan is so you want it to pick the hot air from the video card and exhaust it.
It's great to see this case get a 2nd look. I am waiting on my M2 case to come in a week or 2. I'm planning on mimicing your original M2 build on the previous video but w/ a 7900 XTX and an SFX PSU. What size were those slim fans you had on top? 140mm?

Hi @Machines & More, I have this irrational desire to do vertical GPU mounting in the NCASE M2, and I was wondering whether you had recommendations on how to configure cooling? Don't have the case in hand so can't do the blocking myself. And does vertical GPU constrain CPU cooling to be AIO and mobo to be mITX?
Hi, thank you for showcasing this awesome case. Allow me this question though, currently I'm running lian li dancase A4-H20 with CoolerMaster Masterliquid 240, (it is a new system built from late spring). Unfortunately I've had a lot of bad luck with three faulty AIO cooler units from different manufacturers (faulty pumps), and even the current coolermaster unit has this weird clicking noise that comes and goes. In short I was thinking about aircooling the pc. The CPU we're talking about is ryzen 5 7600 (might switch to 7600X3D) placed in Gigabyte B650i Aorus Ultra. With my lack of planning I've placed quite the limitations for compatible coolers. Do you perchance have any recommendation? Or should I just flatout change the case for this one (the one in the video) or for example something like the Deepcool CH160? Thank you for your awesome videos :)
Thanks, ordered mine recently also. I was thinking a 7950x, 170w, for a workstation/gaming build but I think it may be too hot so might go with 9900x 120w. The only other air cooler I've researched that may fit is the Jiushark JF13K Diamond. its 24.1mm wide and strange looking, just a few mm less than the board. Saw in one video its abit better than the 120 Mini cooling wise, but in a tight space unsure.

Thank you. I have a question. The front I/O of the M2 that I received is different from the one in your video. I asked about it on Discord and was told that the modification was made to address compatibility issues. So, is the front I/O in your video from an older version, or did Nacse redesign it again?
Hi, I was looking at the fan configuration and i was wondering when choosing rear intake and side exhaust is the top fan exhaust as well or intake? Also does it affect the psu by starving air from it or since the exhaust is on the side it doesn’t affect the psu much?
HI! Love your videos! Could you please make a video on actual Radiator compatibilty and viable Radiator setups? They keep advertising with triple 280mm Radiator setups, but i doubt it's actually possible with most components, could you verify those options please?
Good look on the Cpu height compatility because on the site it was only mention it fits 144,8mm coolers, that is kinda weird with 16,6mm in width. When this Case drops in White I will get it for sure. It will swap the spot with my Nr200p and i kinda like the support of shifting the mainboard because I like to deshroud mod my Gpu.
Usually airflow doesn’t like to make a sharp turn- so the point is less to feed the cooler fan as much as it is to just create a pressure dynamic that will help the cooler fan exhaust.
It depends on the board’s top heatsink. It it’s low enough you could absolutely get a second top fan there. Bottom fans with the small feet are more limited in utility, in some scenarios will add noise from turbulence. If you opt for the big “classic” feet, absolutely can work well.
I want to get the M2 Grater & if I use the new ASUS STRIX ITX motherboard & a SFF PSU, can I fit like two 140mm Noctua fans on the top and bottom? I'm second guessing an ITX build at all because the new motherboards are expensive & for fifty bucks more I can get that really good ATX STRIX.
I haven’t tried it but with an ITX board you have a huge amount of modularity (up and down), so I would guess yes. The Strix 870-I doesn’t have a substantial top heat sink so clearance should be fine. Bottom fans will depend on your card thickness.
I'm wondering what difference having a 140mm (if it fits) top intake fan along with the side intake fan would make? Also wondering how much of a difference a rear exhaust fan would make? Would larger be better? Or is it worth matching the size of the CPU fan? Is that potentially drawing too much heat through the CPU?!
I'd be curious about temps on that, maybe gpu sag options as well. I'd also try it. Otherwise great review and appreciate the walkthrough of the assembly.
TH-cam being weird, it's telling me this was uploaded 2 hours ago, yet I click onto it and I've apparently already watched the first 10 mins (I for sure haven't in the last 2 hours, I've been playing Borderlands 3 lol. This is an older video right?
I think its the add blockers. TH-cam has been cracking down and the regular means of bypassing ads has not been working. I noticed the ads went away as soon as it started new videos several min in.
Could you fit two slim 120 fans at bottom for intake? Would there be a benefit to that? I want to get this case so I can get an mATX motherboard and save some money on future upgrades since ITX b650 motherboards are stupidly expensive for what they offer. I will be currently moving from an NR200P with two 120 slim fans as intake at the bottom, 1 back 80 mm fan as intake, 1 side 120 mm fan as intake and two top fans as exhaust. Ideally, I would like to have two bottom intake, 1 side intake, 1 rear exhaust and 1 top exhaust in the NCASE M2 (Round). Would this be doable? The only reason I am buying the case and dropping the NR200P is for the slightly smaller size and because I want to go mATX. Thanks for your help!
If you were going to build an ITX "productivity" machine (i.e. non-gaming) at the moment what would you go for? Thinking 7900x still might be the way to go?
I have an AMD 9700x and a Gigabyte microATX Motherboard and an Asus TUF 4080 - does this work with my 280mm AIO from Corsair, or do i have to buy a new ITX Mainboard? Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Hey man, so you're from Taiwan? I saw your video when you came here. I really like your content but you know what? As odd as it is, sometimes these boutique PC parts are hard to find here in Taiwan. You can find them sometimes but at very high prices. I don't know where they get them, I think the sellers import them, even though some of them are actually made here. 🤯 Side note: YTX cases from China are also very interesting, not to mention gorgeous.
Are you shopping at the big retailers, like CoolPC? The prices aren’t necessarily cheaper than global prices but it’s competitive. I remember doing some conversion calculations at the Guanghua digital plaza when I visited last year.
@@MachinesMore Do you think temps will run fine with only the side panel? Was aiming to replicate this build but didn't realize I'd need an extra panel.
Thanks for posting this. I'm leaning toward using this in my next PC build. Do you have any concern for GPU thermals long term if you aren't looking to overclock, specifically for a 4080 super?
It’s very good but I will note that not everyone has the same assembly skill, and this case really needs good assembly. If the fasteners are not properly tightened, things can quickly rock loose. Blue loctite would be ideal.
Yes! You have to have some flexibility for the GPU placement though, since you lower the board position you may find that you have too little clearance at the bottom, then you will have to go with a vertical gpu setup.

Thank you. I have a question. The front I/O of the M2 that I received is different from the one in your video. I asked about it on Discord and was told that the modification was made to address compatibility issues. So, is the front I/O in your video from an older version, or did Nacse redesign it again?
Yup, mine is the old/early version. The new/retail ones won’t look like it.
Hi,
I was looking at the fan configuration and i was wondering when choosing rear intake and side exhaust is the top fan exhaust as well or intake?
Also does it affect the psu by starving air from it or since the exhaust is on the side it doesn’t affect the psu much?
The top fan is exhausting. I think in general you want that top fan to exhaust.
@@MachinesMore so both fan are on exhaust?
Do you still want it on exhaust when side is in intake?
HI! Love your videos! Could you please make a video on actual Radiator compatibilty and viable Radiator setups? They keep advertising with triple 280mm Radiator setups, but i doubt it's actually possible with most components, could you verify those options please?
hi sir. does this case fit in a medium luggage bag? plan to build a pc that i can bring abroad. hope you notice. thanks.
White case dropped btw, just ordered mine, will be here the 30th, im hyped
@@ExOhz nice , have fun with it , I will maybe order mine next year.
Please give us an aio cooling and vertical GPU build pls!
Imma give this a try
is it possible to mount a mATX (b650m asrock hdv) + WC 240mm and a ATX PSU (160mm)? Thanks for the video with mATX build
Does the top exhaust not take away air from the side intake going to the cpu cooler?
Usually airflow doesn’t like to make a sharp turn- so the point is less to feed the cooler fan as much as it is to just create a pressure dynamic that will help the cooler fan exhaust.
Bro, is this thermal pad on the heatsink normal? 21:28 It looks like it's bending the motherboard
Is it possible to put 2 slim fan 14mm at the bottom?
Wouldnt it be better to put the graphics card on the top?
Oh damn it doesn't look like you can do 2 bottom and top fans with matx. Maybe in the newer version whenever it comes?
Curious what the best setup is for the FE cards.
Really good vid
anyone know if the freeflow concept is canceled or just delayed?
Does it come with a riser or not? Do I need to buy it? Does it come with a bracket to mount fans/rad or does that need to be purchased as well?
The standard kit has one fan panel, and the riser cable is an add-on. You can use up to two fan panels in this case.
Great vid
Does having a side intake plus a top front intake help or pretty pointless? planning on doing this exact same thing in a dan a3 :)
In general, I think top fans should exhausting. The exception would be inverted builds.
@@MachinesMore yeah sweet, ill stick the just the side intake. Thankyou for replying :)
Can someone do top rad with a mini itx motherboard with a similar configuration? If I slide the motherboard down so it doesn't get in the way.
Surely the side intake and top exhaust fans being side by side cancel each other out? Can someone tell me if I'm right/wrong?
I'm wondering what difference having a 140mm (if it fits) top intake fan along with the side intake fan would make? Also wondering how much of a difference a rear exhaust fan would make? Would larger be better? Or is it worth matching the size of the CPU fan? Is that potentially drawing too much heat through the CPU?!
If the lian li a3 wasn't cheaper (plus that wood panel) this is the quality small form factor matx case i wanted
Does the case come with two radiator panels or would I need to buy another one separately?
One is included standard.
Have you tried the inverted build style? My M2 is shipping and Im wondern if I should go inverted for better gpu temps.
I'd be curious about temps on that, maybe gpu sag options as well. I'd also try it.
Otherwise great review and appreciate the walkthrough of the assembly.
I have! I did an inverted comparison in my initial review. It makes a difference for GPU temps and I would recommend it for that purpose.
Would you choose the peerless mini over the nh d12L for the ncase m2? I'm trying to decide which is the absolute quietest under gaming load (7800x3d).
For the 7800X3D definitely the PA120 mini. The D12L costs too much more for very little benefit there.
@@gscurd75 oh interesting. I guess we’ll see how this all plays out. I’d imagine not in a favour TH-cam prefers 🤣 like a dog chasing its tail.
Ahahah mate, we are all on the same boat with those stupid limited itx. I love them but damn, i hate wasting so much Money!
If you were going to build an ITX "productivity" machine (i.e. non-gaming) at the moment what would you go for? Thinking 7900x still might be the way to go?
i use the 7900x on the m2 and my thermals are good with the thermalright pa120 mini. just set pbo and thermal limit to 80°.
@satokotsu nice, thanks!
Do you need to buy the additional power supply bracket?
An ATX one is a separate accessory. SFX/L is included.
This is an idiotic question but your cooler brackets says AM 4?
AM4/am5 will use the same cooler mount for most cooler manufacturers, so Thermalright just supplies the same as they did with am4.
Ah okay, good to know. Thank you! Love the work you do by the way!
I have an AMD 9700x and a Gigabyte microATX Motherboard and an Asus TUF 4080 - does this work with my 280mm AIO from Corsair, or do i have to buy a new ITX Mainboard? Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Can you fit a 3 fans RTX 4090 into this case?
Hey man, so you're from Taiwan? I saw your video when you came here. I really like your content but you know what? As odd as it is, sometimes these boutique PC parts are hard to find here in Taiwan. You can find them sometimes but at very high prices. I don't know where they get them, I think the sellers import them, even though some of them are actually made here. 🤯
Side note: YTX cases from China are also very interesting, not to mention gorgeous.
Are you shopping at the big retailers, like CoolPC? The prices aren’t necessarily cheaper than global prices but it’s competitive. I remember doing some conversion calculations at the Guanghua digital plaza when I visited last year.
so for this build you would need to buy an additional fan bracket?
Yes, if you want both top and side fans.
Are you going to beat Ali to the dual rad water cooled cpu+gpu setup ?
It’s happening! Just a key accessory I am waiting on 😎
@@MachinesMore YEHHHHH!
How sturdy is the case? Doesn't look like there is much to it.
It’s very good but I will note that not everyone has the same assembly skill, and this case really needs good assembly. If the fasteners are not properly tightened, things can quickly rock loose. Blue loctite would be ideal.
Can you fit a 280mm radiator in the top? (with an itx board)
Yes! You have to have some flexibility for the GPU placement though, since you lower the board position you may find that you have too little clearance at the bottom, then you will have to go with a vertical gpu setup.
@@MachinesMore With a GPU waterblock that shouldn't be a problem. How much space is there at the top with the board at the bottom most position? Are you going to explore more cooling setups in this case? Really looking forward to more m2 videos
I wanna get the 9950x but I want good cooling
Can you use a 240m instead? Think the NCase M2 GOATed.
Sure can, not much different from the M1EVO in that regard but yes, 240 would work great.
Great little build!
