Unprecedented quality despite the M1Evo being the pinnacle of bad design & T1 V2.5 being the pinnacle of bad QC. Oh yeah W360 is also an asshole. We test internally is a pretty big claim when he has a history of not testing at all.
Please take this with a grain of salt, but this is my perception: I think it's a bit sad to see so much corporate fluff in everything W360 is involved in now. Ncase isn't the same anymore, Necere, the original M1 designer left. SSUPD law case. FormD split up into all the original people including the original designer, 3FC on one side and W360 on the other side. FormD still sells the V2.1 with just silent improvements, everything still compatible, while Ncase is now selling the case under the Ncase brand with a name that implies the case is much better after wanting to cancel the T1 initially because it wasn't "moving the needle". It's just sad to see all the great people along the way getting burnt after working together with W360.
@@mastersirus1985 I would be surprised if M&M would do this. He's obviously on good terms with W360 right now and taking into account all the objective feedback on this topic would let W360 sit in a fairly bad light afaik.
I have not heard from either side regarding the topic, and in fact I actually don't know any of the details regarding this, just that there is controversy. This is really unfortunate because we are talking about some really neat cases here. I would be just as enthusiastic to cover the "FormD" version, but they have not reached out to me. So even though I have zero primary knowledge (on or off record) of this dispute, I can comment from my personal experience - NCase has always treated me professionally, they handle the media relationship with integrity, e.g. I have never been asked to sugarcoat anything in my reviews, if anything I have been asked to be forthright and honest. The moment I am asked to be anything than 100% forthright in my reviews is the moment the relationship is terminated with a brand or manufacturer. Many of you saw my M1EVO coverage and the pain points I called out - they took that in stride and committed to improving on that. So that's what I do know and can share, and that's why I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt in continuing to cover their products, at the same time I fully respect any consumer and their purchasing decision based on whatever their perception is. My content does not thrive on negative buzz unlike some media outlets, but if it is productive and constructive to the community, I am absolutely willing to arbitrate or mediate a discussion, if anything to provide clarity for prospective customers, I am all ears. Separately, I did see the SSUPD lawsuit brought up- obviously that is something that could not be resolved without the involvement of a higher power, so I think it would be unwise to make a decision based on that until it is finalized. As many of you know I continue to cover Lian Li and SSUPD products as well. I hope that provides some color into some of the concerns.
"Smoother anodisation finishes are harder to make" it depends. The longer you anodise a case, the rougher it gets, so if the smoothness is controlled by anodisation length, it's cheaper to make and overall a less robust surface. If better smoothness was achieved by a finer grid of sand/bead blasting, then maybe it may have been "harder" to make, but I really don't see it personally tbh.
Genuinely super disappointed to see you refer to the Ncase T1 2.5 as a FormD T1 considering how messy the split between Ncase and FormD has been and that FormD is still selling the T1 2.1 with superior machining and tolerances alongside Ncase's 2.5
Not to mention that W360 called the 'Ncase' T1 2.5 despite it having much worse tolerances. All they did was make some superficial changes to call it a different case while spitting 3FC and FormD.
Please take another look at the W360 situation and determine if you'd like to continue supporting them. He originally wanted to cancel the T1 but now is selling it under Ncase as the 2.5 with worse tolerances and quality, while the original designer at FormD is still selling the original, better quality 2.1 T1. It seems like every case manu or designer he gets involved with gets burned, first SSUPD with the Meshlicious, then 3FC with FormD T1, and now Necere with Ncase M1/Evo.
W360 decided to remove the EVO from the naming but kept NCase? 🤣 What a clown lol Is there ANY case manufacturer that didn't have issues with W360? Necere did (Ncase), 3fc did (Formd), SSUPD did
Yeah - it's all coming off like a grift at this point. Gets involved in the development of all these cases, makes promises they can't keep, gets called out, causes drama, leaves, repeats.
I loved my original NCase M1, but my M1 Evo was an absolute nightmare to build. I wasn't a fan of the build process, nor the documentation that was available for early adopters (maybe this has improved since, I don't know, and it wouldn't be of any value to me now that I've already struggled through the build)
pls make a wider "air cooler" version to fit taller air cooler that can also make better connection for GPU cable.this case is wonderful, but limited for that reasons
I love the FormD T1. I have the original reference model, which (I believe) is now discontinued. The only thing I don't like about the T1 is the feet. According to this video, it would appear they are still using the same soft rubber feet. I'm surprised to see that. The rubber is way too soft, and it wears out in no time, exposing the metal underneath. Mine wore out in just a few months of occasional movement, so I replaced the original rubber feet with some new ones I found on Ali Express. The ones from Ali Express (that are extremely inexpensive) are about the same size, with the same M3 screw fitting, but are much harder wearing. I find it surprising that a high-end product like this is shipped with such poor-quality rubber feet.
Totally different animal to me. If you want better compatibility and best in class space utilization, hands down the Ncase. The biggest point for Era 2 would be aesthetics and availability.
I like this case a lot. That said, I wish for a smaller version with max GPU length 250mm (big enough for some RTX 4070 supers). This would case length length by at least 3 inches.
What i really wish in m2 Is to support 2 120 or 140 top and bottom fans while using matx motherboard Also to add the ability of sandwich orientation where gpu on one side while the aio rad on the other side of the case This would be the ultimate case ever If do so❤❤
Where's them Peerless Assassin 135 mini review at? Been waiting for a while now, cause obviously you're the most credible person to a review on it cause you can extensively compare data from other 135 coolers.
What is greed exactly in this context? Are you greedy for wanting a bigger paycheck for whatever work you do? If the price is too high, people won’t pay it. The only real greed to speak of that makes sense is government greed, which takes unearned money from people to waste it and line their corrupt pockets. Then they print money and cause inflation, which is an unlawful tax that disproportionately affects the poor and middle class.
@@nonchalanto Not sure which government you are referring to but, "printing money" spurs growth if the economy is not growing at its target rate.
