I just miscarried this past week and had to do a D&C after trying with fertility meds. I cannot wait to have my Rainbow baby. We are praying and praying it happens soon ❤ beautiful video
Our first week almost over now ❤ So many changes, exhausting hours & also being in hospital, birth etc was not the easiest but cuddling with your baby, spending time together & adapting to grow together as a family is so worth it ❤
Biggest boy tip - keep 2-3 cheap wash cloths around. As soon as diaper comes off cover him. Great to prevent pee fountains and great if they decide to go poo mid change and it’s a mess.
Great to see such a positive, happy, and energetic mama of a newborn! I am 30 weeks pregnant with my first. I have started to worry about how tiring and challenging it will be, but we all have a choice about the attitude we have when we are going through the struggle. I hope that when my postpartum/newborn time comes that I will be able to carry myself as brightly and lightly as you are in this video. Thank you for the inspiration.
I had my son 17 years ago. I was shocked then by what I didn't know about post-partum care and I'm so happy to see what you are showing now -- I wish I'd been so prepared. And I hope new parents are taking this to heart, because the recovery can be really hard.
I'm pregnant with my first and SO overwhelmed with all the things we need to know, have and do for baby! Thank you for these kinds of videos that kind of lay it out there. You seem so organized and prepared!! I hope I get there too before March 👶🏼💛
Same here girl. But keep in mind, a lot of these influencers still go way overboard with all the stuff (especially because they mostly get it for free). You don’t need an outrageous postpartum cart like her, for example. Or the ridiculously expensive Snoo bassinet that every influencer has and says is sooooo necessary. 🙄
These videos could not be better timing! I’m 38 weeks and getting induced on Sunday. I’m so excited and it’s so sweet to see what our life will look like in such a short amount of time. Congratulations to your family and thank you for your content. It has really helped reassure me in this journey as a first time mom!
I'm due with my third baby this month! I'm so excited, especially after watching this! Oakley is so cute! I loved how he was looking at the black and white pictures. Adorable!
You made post partum look so sweet. I am due with my second baby while my first is turning 2 years old. I am nervous but this video is making me excited (while i know it is also very hard) but the newborn snuggles are so sweet. You are doing such a good job!!
I honestly was not a fan of the Frida foam but then I put it in the fridge, totally game changer! I used it everytime I went to the bathroom, so much better than sitting on an ice pack in my opinion. Oakley is adorable, and Sage is so sweet with him. Sending well wishes to all❤ glad to hear mom and baby are healthy! Congratulations!!
your doing great! every recovery and birth is so different and you need to let your body heal. I had my third this past feb and i know i need to take a break but watching this video still gives me the baby blues! its crazy how hormones play a huge part in your brain. Oakley looks like a heaven little peanut! enjoy him and soak up every little bit. the first stages dont last too long!
Thank you, this is so helpful for me, I'm a new mom, baby number one is coming July 31st !! We are super excited and also a little nervous, i know lots will come naturally and seeing how things happen right after baby is born is really helping understand how things can happen, and what to expect in recovery and care for baby. We are 35 + first time parents and have been waiting , basically our who lives to have and share this baby with one another. We me when i was 18 and he was 21, and ever since our early 20's we wanted to have one but were brainwashed into thinking we had to wait until we were older and make sure we had established careers and such before we could even think about it, honestly I wish i never went by that standard now. We could have been successful parents and had our first child in our 20's, many of our friends did, but our family support systems were not in that line of thinking towards us. Now I'm 35 and he is 38, we tried started trying again when I was 30 and it was not happening, the first three years of trying made us sad and conflicted towards one another and we didn't want to use fertility enhancements. Our long wait is over, three years of roller coaster emotions, years of acceptance to go with the flow, then last July I decided to use MomMed and start charting when my LH levels were the highest, (Luteinizing hormone), I tracked the first month and then skipped a month, and on the skipped month from tracking and charting WE GOT PREGNANT!!! i had to, of course, pee on 12 sticks before I could accept, believe and share with him, got the clear blue pregnancy -weeks indicator- test, and it said 3+ weeks, add 2 more weeks and determined we were at least 5 plus weeks into this pregnancy. We decided to keep it to ourselves for almost the full pregnancy, sharing with only immediate family members and very close friends.. So grateful for every step, every experience and all the more to come.. No sure why I am sharing all this right here, just keeping up with those excitement moments where you want to share and share and spread happiness and joy with our beloved babes and story of a journey between the two of us. We also have survived a 5 year separation between one another when we went our separate ways to pursue and persevere our careers and educational goals. It wasn't easy and we never planned on getting back together, somethings are just meant to be, and somethings really stick to your heart and mind. Maybe that saying has some weight in our story/journey, "Set it free and if it comes back it's meant to be" .
You are blessed to work so well together as a couple. It's much harder when dad doesn't help automatically, doesn't consider himself part of the breastfeeding team. He also really supports giving you enough time for self care. Does he stay home with you guys? My husband works early in the morning 6 days a week. It's awful with a newborn.
Thank you so much for making this video to help me prep for my post-partum. I am 38 weeks. I really appreciate how you and Matt devide and concur. Thank you.
I'm pregnant with my first. Very useful video about the reality of postpartum. It is scary. Looks like a serious toll the mom's body and then the constant care of the newborn... But you are very calm, cool to see. The amount of healing products are overwhelming. All these are needed? I use now like 3, and then I will need 13?
Thanks for sharing! I too am a mama of a toddler who is observing everything I do…including the amount of time spent scrolling on my phone. I recently started wearing a regular watch for the first time in my life and leave my phone in the kitchen with the ringer on (landline vibes haha). It’s helped reduce my screen time tremendously! My excuse was always that my phone was my clock, so having a no screen option changed everything.
you’re the best mama! love watching your videos while i’m pregnant. so excited to have my first. Also in canada so i’m relived to hear you had an awesome experience at the hospital here. binge watching !!
I would be interested in a video about the psychological aspect of postpartum. How you feel and how you cope, baby blues and all. I feel there’s not enough information about that out there and it is an important aspect of recovery/ adjusting to parenthood. Thank you for you videos.
It’s so crazy that I came across your video I delivered there as well. I loved Southlake and I loved the staff, especially the nurses that took care of me.
Thanx so much for sharing. U stretching ur back after changing 'Oakey' brings back all the memories. It's giving me all the feels good and bad. Really appreciate how much you share. Love u guys❤
I can relate to this :). My oldest was 2 months shy of turning 2 years old when I was pregnant with our second child. Fast forward to now lol, our oldest is 3 1/2 years old and our youngest just turned 1! It was a wild journey for us but one we will never forget & seeing them play together made it worthwhile :). You both got this and take it one day at a time! Also, you will be amazed how quickly the youngest child learns from watching their sibling :)!
Congratulations he’s adorable! I love that you show what it looks like after you have a baby, usually your belly looks pregnant still! I have 4 and I love newborns ♥️
I've never been pregnant before but I've been using the Frida Mom because I'm prone to certain issues down there and for a certain time of the month. They are awesome for even things like that. Though my favorite is the Wipes from Frida Mom. Feels so good when I'm going through issues. 😊
I know its been over a month but wow its wild how fast oakley has grown. Also just made a veggie chili and I wish I could share it with you. Its super good! Sage is so cute but also a mood! When my bestie and I broughed little benny and her home from the hospital I lost it after leaving her place and cried in the car. I did not want to leave them even if its 30 minutes away. Benny is 5 and a wild child! seeing kids grow up is sad but beautiful in many ways.
Congratulations! 🎉 you are both doing amazing. I will have a similar age difference soon with my babies. I do recommend switching out the carrier tho, it does not let the baby have a correct C+M position as it is too tough on their backs and in my country it’s common knowledge that the babybjörn carrier is a no go. Tula FTG or Ergobaby or Artipoppe are recommended 👏🏼
Watching this with my 7-week-old strapped onto me and this is dooo relatable. I also have a toddler so going through the 1-2 transition with you. Congrats 🥰
This is so helpful as a pregnant mama with a toddler. Also having someone who also lives in Canada to give advice on products is so helpful. Thank you for sharing
We are having our baby boy next week. We have an 11 year old and 6 year old daughters and I’m so excited to switch it up with a boy but also terrified 😅 the newborn stage is so amazing and so exhausting at the same time it’s amazing as mothers how we can get through it
Congrats on your baby boy! I just had a baby boy in early October and the wet clothes and everything in unreal (I heard it’s a boy thing, he’s my first). I used a postpartum pad horizontally across the inside front of his diaper and it worked magic the past two nights! Thanks for your videos, I learned so much from you ☺️
Not a mom. Not pregnant. Just LOVE these vlogs, and cannot wait to be a Mama one day! Thank you for sharing Nikole, and congratulations on your beautiful baby boy 🤍 sending you all the love & healing energy x
I cannot get over how much Oakley reminds me of Sage! Loved getting a glimpse into your newly expanded family. Can’t wait to see your birth video, if and when you decide to post it. It really looks like everything’s moving along smoothly.
This was awesome to watch! I’ve been following u throughout the years but kinda fell off tbh. Now I just had my first baby and now ur on ur 2nd! It’s cool to see someone else going through what ur going through & I wish u a speedy healthy recovery for ur postpartum as well!
Hi Nicole tell us if you have gone through the baby blues or postpartum depression my baby was born 4 days after yours and I have to say that it is hard for me since this is my third experience as I have 3 children and with all 3 it has happened to me thank God it goes away and then comes a huge relief but I see you very well I would like to know how you feel in that aspect.
I'm glad to see that the Snoo appears to be working well for you for two kids! We bought one for our second because I absolutely can not handle severe sleep deprivation, so fingers-crossed it works. The regular bassinet everyone recommended certainly didn't.
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm at the end of first trimester in my 2nd pregnancy and am loving to see your newborn content again! Where's your breastfeeding pillow from? It looks very firm mine was so soft the head kept sinking in so it never was hands free and relaxing for me. Yours looks amazing! Greetings from Switzerland ❤
I wish I could somehow “transfer” you my pregnancy. It’s my first, a boy, I’m 24 weeks pregnant and I sadly don’t want it 💔 I found out at 20 weeks so it was too late to even terminate.
@@FEMININELY_ME you poor thing. I'm so sorry. Like actually from the bottom of my heart, it aches that you don't have the ability to make that choice anymore.
@@erinelizabeth4846 Thank you. I’ve sadly tried to terminate twice in a space of 4 weeks - all attempts failed. The recent being just a few days ago, though I haven’t gone to the doctor for a scan I know he (the baby) is still alive. I feel him moving quite a lot. I’ve increasingly had thoughts to just end my life in turn.
Hi How did you make your strawberry smoothie? What are the ingredients you used for it? And also how to reduce postpartum belly? What can you use on it?
Try breastfeeding without the pillow a few times and see it that helps your back pain. For me the pillow was making me lean forward and my back was killing me because of it. My IBCLC told me lean back and relax for feedings and I felt so much better.
Love this. Actually your videos with baby Sage fascinated me to have a baby of my own. And I have a 9 month old daughter now and I experienced the hard work, stress and all under the beauty of motherhood myself. Now watching this, reminds me of those hard days with the newborn but still fascinated by this rewarding role of being a mama. 🥹 I think I need a second baby now 😁
This is a great video!! We are also looking for the car seat but got quite confused about infant car seat, stroller and bassinet… Is there a video for the suggestion of these items?
I pumped with the same one all milk what I had left after nursing just to feel better and have extra milk for later. And I was just fine, my body didn’t take it as I have twins 😌 it slowly regulated by itself, even though I was pumping after every session of nursing. Up to you of course! ☺️ I find that sometimes it is so much easier to listen to your body than to other people.
Would love to see a video focused on toddler snacks that are healthy with clean ingredients we can pick up at the store. Struggling to find some 😩. I make the ones from your toddler cookbook and she loves them but sometimes there isn’t time.
I just miscarried this past week and had to do a D&C after trying with fertility meds. I cannot wait to have my Rainbow baby. We are praying and praying it happens soon ❤ beautiful video
I had back to back miscarriages and now pregnant again 15 weeks. I am praying for you and sending good vibes for your rainbow baby 😍
I pray to God for you to have your baby soon ❤stay strong❤
Prayers to a beautiful future
Lovely.❤❤❤❤❤
I had a miscarriage last year with a few chemical pregnancies after and now am pregnant with our rainbow baby… 14 weeks! Don’t give up!
Our first week almost over now ❤
So many changes, exhausting hours & also being in hospital, birth etc was not the easiest but cuddling with your baby, spending time together & adapting to grow together as a family is so worth it ❤
Gosh! You look sooo good! You do not even look sleep deprived. No bags, puffiness or dark circles under the eyes.
Biggest boy tip - keep 2-3 cheap wash cloths around. As soon as diaper comes off cover him. Great to prevent pee fountains and great if they decide to go poo mid change and it’s a mess.

I'm expecting my first baby at 35 and can't tell you how useful it is to see your routine and what you have to hand for the night shifts!
The 'brrrrap' after you've just finished bundling up the baby is very accurate, as if they KNEW 😂

What do you eat while healing postpartum? What I eat in a day breastfeeding ?
Hi
How did you make your strawberry smoothie? What are the ingredients you used for it? And also how to reduce postpartum belly? What can you use on it?
Try breastfeeding without the pillow a few times and see it that helps your back pain. For me the pillow was making me lean forward and my back was killing me because of it. My IBCLC told me lean back and relax for feedings and I felt so much better.
Congratulations on another beautiful baby! Welcome to the world Oakley.
Arnica tablets.Arinica for rib pain.
Oh my gosh that play kitchen!! 😮😮😮 Please can you link it??
mama what baby carrier is dad wearing? im looking for a soft one for my husband!! thank you
🥹 I think I need a second baby now 😁
Congratulations on having the baby boy he looks like you 😊
Awwww so cute! Where is the black set from when leaving the hospital?
LOVE this vlog as a first time mom-to-be. Thank you❤️
Good products you showed for postpartum, very important.
I think one thing I’ll try to do differently with my third is change diaper before feeding so I can just put straight in bed. Hopefully it works
This is a great video!! We are also looking for the car seat but got quite confused about infant car seat, stroller and bassinet… Is there a video for the suggestion of these items?
This is such a wonderful postpartum & newborn video! So informative and inspiring!
Congrats to you and Matt. What made you think of the babies name? It’s cute and just was wondering. Stay blessed and take care
He's so absolutely perfect and handsome! Ya'll are great parents!
Congratulations Nikole 💕💕

Would love to see a video focused on toddler snacks that are healthy with clean ingredients we can pick up at the store. Struggling to find some 😩. I make the ones from your toddler cookbook and she loves them but sometimes there isn’t time.
I think your videos are just great, so much information! Thanks so much!
Awesome video! Thank you for the post partum tips! The cart for pp is such a great idea❤️
