- Hello Cutiecalities, in today's video I will be showing you guys how to crochet a very easy festival top so you can have your own and only hand-made festival/summer piece :) I hope you guys enjoyyyy!!!!

I'm almost finished making mine. I just have the fringes left to do. I used some different colors, and it came out perfect! I'm a size medium, and added one more row to each of the granny squares, and then followed directions from there. Mine is all cotton yarn, #4, and I used 8 squares, since I didn't want an opened back on mine. I am in my late 50's and love the BOHO style of clothing, but no longer have a sexy back or tummy. LOL. Also, my straps have 2 additional rows so that they are thicker. Again, at my age, it would seem that wearing spaghetti straps won't be so cute on me, but the thicker straps look nice! They are more like tank top thickness. Thank you for the tutorial!

I would love to see a tutorial on the "Lost in Time" shawl pattern, oh in the English language!! The Granny top above is just too pretty!!
The person who makes the Lost in Time shawl does not allow video tutorials of her patterns unless she herself makes them. :( That was my problem with the Secret Paths shawl, but if you dig around on ravelry forums, you can probably find a chart, and you can find a stitch count by googling. Those two things saved my life when I did Secret Paths.

I have used a 3.5 mm hook and the squares are 12 cm x 12 cm. :)

I'd say you make one and see if it fits enough from the middle of the breasts to your underarm. If not add more rows that means make squares bigger in size

You don't really need to wear anything under if you feel comfortable not having a bra on, in the video, I am wearing a nude bra in which you don't really see it! So it is up to you. xx

I tried this one but it turned out soo small so I tried to add more squares but it also didn't work as there should be 2 square on the front and 2 on the back so any idea how to make this a bigger size please :)
Hello Lovely 💛 To make it in a bigger size you will need to increase the size of the granny squares, for M try adding 2/4 rows for the squares, and for L try adding 4/6 rows. If you see at the beginning of the video, the squares on my breasts are the same size as my breasts, so you can also try this way which is what I did. Hope that helps! 💛

How would you make wider straps?
I imagine you could just make the brown part wider. Instead of doing just a chain, you would do a row or 2. Making sure the extra row is attached. When you do the mustard part, you could single crochet around the top of it or fasten off before the edge and rejoin after.

Don't give up! Try using a size down yarn or hook. :)
Mmkay... nice top, but it seems a bit thick for a summer top, and if cotton yarn is used (which absorbs body moist), then it will be somewhat stiff or rigid, and it will feel likewise on the skin. Also, it looks great on her because she’s thin, and unlike a fabric halter top, yarn tends to mold to the body. (Got love handles? Don’t wear a yarn tanktop unless, of course, you don’t mind looking like Shrek in a tutu and a triangle bra.) Video suggestion: summer shorts using a crochet lace pattern, please.

U should have your camera closer so we can see exactly where u put your hook because idk if u put the hook between the chains or in the chain idk ! seems like your hiding your work maybe it’s just me !
