Thanks dear ❤️❤️, Yeah just make extra row on each granny square. To get the exact measurements for the squares,take your burst measurements then divide by eight, the answer you get is the measurement of each granny square.

Try loosening your stiches, another thing the size of hook should correspond to the yarn size.

This is for size small to medium,but note that if you change the hook ,the size of the top will be different from the original(mine)❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Pamela, thanks for stopping by...... The choice is yours dear, the yarn I was using was a four ply but very thin (fingering yarn) that's why I doubled mine...... If yours is 4 ply and thick you can go ahead without doubling. ❤️
