    I just bought the s90D and I am coming from having 3 LG OLED TVs CX,C9, and C2. The S90D is an amazing TV and honestly I never liked Samsung. The S90 D is the best TV I have ever owned. My next TV will be Sony A95M when it comes out.

    The S90D magenta tint in all the the lighter colors is incredibly distracting. Is as noticeable in person? Thr first scene you stay on, there's white in the G4 and just magenta in the S90D

    The G4 is vastly superior to the S90d. I bought the G4 first and returned it for the s95d but there was a ton of issues I was having with the s95d from their processor not being able to sharpen images in content as well as the g4 so I returned the s95d and got the g4 again and am super happy. Find LG looks better all the time in TH-cam videos for some reason but I don't have one for a side by side, so I'm not sure how they compare in reality. It defo seriously overcooked the reds big time before the 2 point white balance adjustment though but now looks a lot better. Might get a colourimeter to see if I can get it to look better but just not sure yet what one would work well enough for a QD Oled? Wonder if there is a better way to film QD oleds or if its just the fact that it has a Polaris layer or something that always makes them look off to me when they are filmed with a camera. 🤔Not something I'm particularly knowledgeable about but I would like to know lol

    • @consumerreview2k
      @consumerreview2k  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @wiseamezzat3. I'm not exactly sure, man. I have played on oled tvs for maybe 2 to 3 hours, maybe once or twice up to 4 hrs. My guess is you're a 5 to 8 hrs a day and play about that many hours straight very often, that you will start to see image retention more frequently before burn in. I think you would probably see issues like that sooner on a Samsung compared to a lg cause samsung does not have a heatsink. But qd oled supposedly doesn't have a seatsink because apparently qdoled tech doesn't need one as it is more efficient and does not get as hot. So they use a brightness algorithm to reduce the overall levels faster because, again, no hearsink. So there are trade-offs. But again, it really does depend on how much you played a day and how long you play each day average .

    Without Calibration, the S90D is pushing more green and red. It is not accurate. But... it can make bright colours display with more luminance than the G4 in a few scenes now and then ( S95D does this much more). So the G4 gives you more accurate colours than the S90D for sure. But what kind of games do you play? If you tend to seek out brightness over accuracy, then the S90D might be more your TV. Though for the same money as the G4, you would be better of with the S95D if you like that presentation. If however you really care about colour accuracy and are not going to get the TV calibrated, then the G4 might be better suited. It will also not have lifted blacks when there is ambient light. And the G4 also has the function to adjust black levels which Samsung TV's do not have.

    • @consumerreview2k
      @consumerreview2k  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do agree that out the box and due to better panel uniformity the s90d does have better contrast especially because the color that the s90d provides can also contribute to better contrast as a colorful foreground against a dark background is a really good combination of perceived contrast. But what the g4 has the fine details. Especially in more natural scenes. That also dies the trick too. So if you have a scene where foreground has allot of fine details against darker background, it definitely looks more 3d and the g4 you can fine tune your black levels in a more detailed manner as well.
