Without Calibration, the S90D is pushing more green and red. It is not accurate. But... it can make bright colours display with more luminance than the G4 in a few scenes now and then ( S95D does this much more). So the G4 gives you more accurate colours than the S90D for sure. But what kind of games do you play? If you tend to seek out brightness over accuracy, then the S90D might be more your TV. Though for the same money as the G4, you would be better of with the S95D if you like that presentation. If however you really care about colour accuracy and are not going to get the TV calibrated, then the G4 might be better suited. It will also not have lifted blacks when there is ambient light. And the G4 also has the function to adjust black levels which Samsung TV's do not have.
I have to go with the A95L as the overall favorite tv of mine for sure. Just no way around it. But for gaming, especially hdr gaming, the S90D over the A95L for sure.

I do agree that out the box and due to better panel uniformity the s90d does have better contrast especially because the color that the s90d provides can also contribute to better contrast as a colorful foreground against a dark background is a really good combination of perceived contrast. But what the g4 has the fine details. Especially in more natural scenes. That also dies the trick too.
