I agree with Tizen. I have an S90C. They updated Tizen on the C models to match the D models. It's pretty fast and simple to navigate. Don't understand why so many people online act like Tizen is the devil. Even something simple like rebooting the TV which is a whole process on anything with Google TV like Sony TVs just takes a single button hold and only take a few seconds to fully reboot on Samsung. Very underrated
Tizen works great on my S89C. I have a x900e Sony and its OP is garbage. I constantly have to soft reboot it and it’s not because it’s a 6 year old TV. I had to constantly reboot it even when brand new.
some of us have s95b and its a laggy mess, think its the hardware tho. It was also a lot more clunky to navigate initially and it makes you not think of it as a smart tb, but more as a amazing display as stream boxes are basically essential. It's also missing apps and compatibility compared to other platforms. ITs a bit upsetting when a little stick performs better, than a tv you paid 2 grand for. I also have the first oled sony from 2015 and its ui is actually better and smoother. It's not perfect either, but the point is the bad rep i feel comes a lot from early adopters.
Samsung is hazy though, perfect example is at 4:12 the rails look blurry AF on the Samsung where as LG looks way more cleaned and detailed, I have seen both TV’s in person, Samsung just struggles for clarity and details, but the colours are absolutely insane on the Samsung no TV on the market can match Samsung for the colours pop and depth, but that comes at the cost hazy, grainy pictures, if you truly want a finer picture quality it’s LG, and if you want insane colour pop it’s Samsung all day long
I own both C4 & S90D, color is just barley better on S90D & black levels are slightly better on C4. But build quality & parts is Definitely a lot better on LG's. Stick with LG all the way 👍👍👍
I upgraded from a 42c2 to a 48c4 for my gaming/work area. I was hit with buyers remorse. Not much of a difference in gaming. Movies looked really good. It is brighter than the C2. I could see the improvement and it’s a great tv but I wasn’t sold. Without getting into every boring detail, I ended up getting a 55S90D and I was VERY happy. Immediately I noticed a difference. Game mode looks incredible. Absolutely no buyers remorse AND I got it for way cheaper than the 48C4; $1086 including tax! (Memorial week discount + epp + over 10%chat discount). The price I paid for the S90D is cheaper than the close out deals I saw for the S90C. I have WOLEDs around my place and they still look great, but the QD OLED though.. 😊
@@beammeupscottsp7952 There is a difference. I've seen them both and tested them here at home. There just wasn't enough of a difference. Buyers remorse came from the nominal performance gain and the fact that I could get the QD OLED for cheaper than the 48C4. Rather than live with the remorse, I got the superior tv, the S90D.
I saw these next to each other in a store three days ago.. To me in person the S90D looked better. In a big retail store so probably both on dynamic or whatever the equivalent settings are. Maybe the settings had been tweaked a bit because the colour on the Samsung was really obviously better.
I compared them in two different stores and got to the same conclusion. Went with the s90d, no regrets. I also think both are fine tvs. One other thing is that the LG was super hot compared to the Samsung in both stores.
Yes. Same here. I saw these next to each other in a store and maybe the C4 just wasn't set up right, but the S90D picture was much better. Especially for "normal" TV content. The LG picture looked "fake". The Samsung's was well upscaled and warm. Inviting. I bought the S90D too because of that. Just waiting for it to be delivered. 😁
$3,299 S90D vs $2,499 S85D in 83 in which would be the better buy since they are both WOLED tvs. Or should I just get the 85 in QN90D $2,299 or 83 in LG B4 $2,499. I have the HW-Q990D soundbar with the 77 in S90D I just would like a bigger screen like 83 or 85 in. I am 11 feet from tv in light controlled living room. I will just watch movies, tv shows, news a little, and no gaming..I am still in the return window from best buy. I don't know what to do. I have the 5 year Geek squad warranty on the S90D for burn in so not to worried about that. I just want a theater like experience in the living room.
I seen a s90d in the store today next to a lg midrange tv and the lg looked far better but the uk version of the s90d doesn’t have the qd Oled panels and there’s a big difference drop
Wow! Wow! Wow! That’s all I can say!!! I bought a ps5 pro for my old lcd and was gutted when I didn’t see much difference! Planning on buying a new tv for it anyway and opted for the lg c4 55 inch! And I am blown away!!! From the premium packaging to the premium stand to the unbelievable sound and picture!!! It needs to be seen to be believed!!! If you have an older tv and are thinking about upgrading to an oled then the c4 will not disappoint!!! I don’t normally leave reviews but I want everyone to experience this tv!!!! £1000 odd is a lot of money for me! But believe me it is worth every penny!!!!
Hey buddy. I’ve watched just about all of your videos regarding any tv I may be interested in… I can def say that seeing these newer TVs is no where as good as seeing them in person!! Ie the Bravia 7 looks amazing in the store! Also the only tv that had me say out loud, whoa! 🎉was the G4! Just a side note, as was with the C3, it really feels like the C3/C4 is just a let down overall. I feel like if it was priced more competitively, it would be a No brainer entry into OLED!! Cause in person the C4 looks great even inside a BB. 🎉 thanks
LG C4: Brightness: Contrary to some complaints, the LG C4 is not that dim. Unless you have direct sunlight or an extremely bright living room, you won't find the LG C4 dim, especially in sizes 55 inches and above due to the brightness booster. Game Mode: In game mode, it may appear a bit dim. To improve brightness, search for P40L0 calibration settings and use FMM + HGIG Mode with lower input settings. Color Accuracy: The colors on the LG C4 are more accurate right out of the box. SDR brightness is more compared to S90D, Lower content Pixel Upscaling is Impressive in LG than S90D HDR Brightness: The HDR brightness is excellent this year, reaching 1000 nits, which is more than enough for most users. Unlike the C1, C2, and C3, the C4 is not dim, especially in the 65 or 77-inch models, where you might even need to reduce pixel brightness. Blacks and 3D Depth: The black levels are incredible, and the 3D depth in the image is impressive. Formats Support: Supports all Dolby and DTS formats. S90D: Gaming: If you're focused purely on gaming, the S90D is a good choice. However, the colors may look off, and the image can appear flat with no 3D depth. Panel Issues: The S90D panels are prone to slight bending, regardless of how many replacements you get. If your purely into Gaming go pick S90D Please go and check out yourself with your eyes and pick the best one that fits your needs
I’d go with the C4… Dolby Vision, DTS support, better quality control and less buggy firmware updates! I just could not bring myself to ever buy a Samsung TV until they at least support the former two. Also, Tizen is a mess if my parent’s Samsung TV is anything to go by…
I like the colors better on the LG, which is strange because in the past Samsung was known for having more color pop. In particular the color green looks too dark on the Samsung at 2:10.
Very noticeable magenta tinge across the whole of the Samsung screen which would put me off. The sky's actually purple instead of light blue. Piss poor from Samsung, but then I'd never buy a Samsung anyway, especially after my neighbour's Samsung started smoking in his lounge a few years ago. Also, Samsung motion smearing is still legendary.
That video is not a correct representation of the tvs, qled has more color volume so colors will always look brigher on it, wrgb oled use white light for brightness so colors like red, green etc will look a bit washed out at high brightness on a lg compared to the qd oled but the color white will allways look better on the wrgb oled.
I got the Bravia 8 65. It rocks. Gaming on my ps5 feels instant. Like instant instant lol. Plenty of brightness too. Might return and just get the 77. Interesting to see Sony and LG spins on the same panels.
That scene with the white square staying there for the entire time you showed it, is the reason I am 'considering' the Bravia 9. I love OLED. I think it looks amazing. But I am overly careful to make sure I don't get burn in. It's annoying to worry so much all the time.
If you're going to drop big money on any of the 2024 Sony tvs, get the Bravia 8. It's brighter than the A80L, and blows the Bravia 9 out of the water. I know there's a lot of hype around Sony's mini LED flagship this year, but even just looking at the review videos and a couple of the comparisons that are out for it now it's clear to see that is still doesn't stand up to OLED. Unless you want a shitload of brightness, and are going to be sitting directly in front of the tv at all times, stick with OLED. Burn in is only going to happen if you carelessly leave your tv on with a static image on screen for days on end, which I'm guessing isn't your plan. I just upgraded from a Hisense LED to the S90D, and would honestly NEVER go back to an LED tv again. For the money, OLED is the real deal (especially QD OLED)
@@Whitewolf_1186 ya the Bravia 8 is the TV I want. I only considered the 9 because I sometimes worry about burn in. But I’ve had the A80J since it came out and I don’t have any burn in yet. I’ll buy the 8 near Black Friday.
Over 10k hours on my cx with all safety features turned off in the service menu and I'm only now seeing the TH-cam logo very slightly only in very specific scenarios and I play games with static HUDs
@@AndrewJohnWardreally subjective, I went from an LG CX to an S90C and yeah, there is no missing Dolby vision over here. To me it is definitely not a deal breaker
@@AndrewJohnWard There isn't much need for dynamic metadata HDR (DV, HDR10+) with QD-OLED and MLA WOLED displays. The benefits kinda evaporate once you have a display that can properly show HDR10. The thing is, lots of older HDR TVs sucked at showing HDR10. That's when DV got popular, because it greatly benefited those TVs. These days though, TVs have improved to the point where DV is becoming more trouble than it's worth for some mfrs. Just look at how many DV implementations have bugs. Sony has almost constantly had issues with DV, DV gaming from what I understand has also always been problematic
As others say, C4 looks to me to be brighter, sharper and more colourful in most shots, it is like one of those RAy tracing on and off videos too, the video on C4 the reflections look so much better.
And if you are playing a 30fps title and want to use motion smoothing, just turn allm off and then back on when you're finished. Makes a world of difference on some 30fps titles.@@AndrewB23
Hi, I think the G4 is the best and the safest Option for me, I come from an LG GX Gallery Tv from 2020. Im just a Bit confused because many says, the S9OD is better than the C4, brighter, less or no Banding and a Quantum Dot Panel. Both cost the same Price here, I don't know which one I should choose. So I thought the S9OD is in between the C4 and G4 but maybe Im wrong. Otherwise when I pay 500-600 more I can get the G4. You would get definetely the G4 for a bit more Money instead the S90D or C4 ? I watch movies and Series with the Apple TV, Blu-Rays and UHDs with the Panasonic UB-820 and some streaming, Netflix,
It's a great TV I would advise you look into rtings however for more info on the tv aka screen uniformity and other things rtings dogs real deep into tv specs.
Great info, I'm a Samsung guy so the S90D is for me. I don't mind the added warmth of the magenta. BUT, depending on prices when the time comes if the evo is the better deal I don't think you really lose.
I would like to buy this TV but I watch a lot of movies and series. Samsung does not have Dolby. Will there be much difference between g4 oled vs s90d? The price is almost half as much. Is it worth paying extra for g4?
@@joek6207most people aren't going to calibrate their TV so these comparisons make more sense also with the price of a good calibration just buy the step up models
i have the B4 and i instantly noticed that the brightness just doesnt feel that great when gaming and then i thought i just return it and go one up for a small price difference, but then i saw that the c4 atleast in game mode isnt that bright either and the g4 is out of my buy limit so im very happy to choose the s90d now even tho im a LG fan. it arrives in 3 days and then ill see
You will love the S90D it's a great TV I have the 55 inch version with the QDoled and myovies and games look amazing on it. Little hint the TV has a logo brightness setting auto on in the settings if you turn it off the tv will be even more brighter. The logo brightness adjustment ia found under settings and panel care it automatically dims the screen when there is a static image aka a news banner or hud from racing game ECT on the screen for long periods time to prevent burn in. So if you don't turn it off and notice your screen getting dim while playing certain games or watching tv ECT that is why. I turn it off when playing games and turn it back on when watching tv or movies. Sorry for the message mate I just trying to help other out enjoy your TV boss :)
What about if the choice was between G4 and S90D for gaming ... Would you still pick the S90D cause of the QD panel 🤔 Cause in my country, for some reason, currently the S90D and the G4 are around the same price.
I would pick the G4 because outside of game mode it just destroys the S90D in most content. On game mode it’s closer but I’d say it has an overall more impactful HDR presentation in game mode it doesn’t lose color or brightness in game mode like C4 does and SDR despite being limited still does look almost as bright as S90D.
I really want to get the C4 for dolby vision, but I can't seem to find anyone that compared C4 WITH dolby vision for movies enabled vs a s90c/s90d in hdr10 (not plus, because it's basically nonexistent).
Most movies look exactly the same in Dolby Vision as HDR10. Only in movies mastered at 4000 nits, Dolby Vision will give a bit more detail in the brightest highlights.
Great video. I was wondering what you thought about motion handling? I have a C1 and didn't realize that I was sensitive to stutter/judder until I bought a S90C. The c1 does a great job mitigating it without Soap opera but the S90C either jumps a lot or has soap opera. Just wondering if the S90 stepped it up this year? Cheers
Motion is about the same for the S90D it still has those micro jitters with panning shots some are sensitive to that. C4 motion is definitely ok. Thank you for the support!
I almost made the colossal mistake of purchasing the overhyped C4. Thank you for making this video. I am now a happy owner of the far superior Samsung S90D 🥳
Not sure if they will or not but we will be watching for it. I hope they do make the switch when that time comes and not just change them to W-OLED panels once 2nd gen run out. I sadly could see either happening. Because it is software controlled I doubt you'd see a big difference between S90D 2nd gen QD and S90D 3rd gen QD.
@@GDIDani it had a white tint that I found weird. Later, I discovered that the TV was WOLED and not a QD OLED. I have a 65" S90C and the picture is amazing. So the difference became clear that this was a different type of display. I wanted the QD OLED and the 48" wasn't it.
Hello, great video. I wanted to ask you about an upgrade...I currently have a 65" Sony X900E LED tv and I've had it for 7 years. I mostly watch physical media but also watch some streaming...and I also want a tv that sounds good on its own because I dont always want to listen to it through the home theater sound system. Question is, would just about any new (current) tv be a considerable upgrade? And, What tv would you recommend that has good sound, great picture and has a price at or below $3,ooo? I also need at lest 3 hdmi ports. I don't game on the tv either but I do watch some SD stuff. Thanks!
Everything you’re saying immediately screams BRAVIA 9 or A95L especially on the topic of great built in sound. What size are you looking at? Are you open to OLED or mini LED do you have any preferences? All TVs in the price you are looking at will have 4 hdmi ports so no worries there.
@@TechWithKG I forgot to mention that I do want to move up to a 75" or 77". Open to mini LED or OLED...just really want the best pic quality I can get at that price with a good sounding TV. I know going up to the larger size limits what I can get in that price range.
The Conn's Company is closing due to bankruptcy and getting rid of EVERYTHING ......just for grins I stopped in last Sunday to look at their tv selection. They had one 77 inch lg C4 new in box and sold it to me for $1500.... They started wanting $2000 but when I said I'll take it today for 1500 they jumped on it. Hi KG, thanks for the great comparison, I would definitely go with the S90D as I game on my Xbox series X. I actually already have the S90D but waiting on a Samsung service technician call out to inspect a warped panel when unboxed, we only just purchased it 4 days ago. I was told they never had any issues with warped panels 😤 My question is, which tv would you recommend for content viewing, movies etc and gaming. We normally watch Netflix, prime and TH-cam with some free to air content like the news channel which has static content. I’m finding it hard to choose between the 65” S90D or the 65” LG G4 which would you recommend for my use case? I’m used to the ease of use navigation settings and menu on the Samsung and my wife has always loved the colour pop of Samsungs, will she be disappointed if we go for the LG? Is game mode better on the LG as opposed to Samsung or are they both just as good as each other, will I sacrifice anything out of game mode when watching movies or content on either one? Your opinion matters, the last TV we purchased in 2021 was upon your recommendation which was the Samsung QN90A it was a great tv but after 3yrs Samsung provided a refund as the tv slowed right down and was laggy as hell (firmware updates). I hope you can help this time around in helping us make a wise purchase decision. Thanks again, love your channel we are in Australia. Cheers mate 👍

@@maverick6208 Looking through your question I definitely would go with the G4 over the S90D if your asking which is better for everything you asked its definitely the G4 in my eyes, but it is a big price between the two. G4 can also have that color pop, and in cinema home id argue it has the most impactful HDR experience while staying somewhat true to the creative intent.
@@TechWithKGthanks for your reply, sorry I just noticed… Will you be sharing any picture settings for the G4 anytime soon, also which is your favourite TV so far for 2024? I purchased the G4 will be delivered Monday, can’t wait… Will you be doing a TV hacks and menu video like you did with the new Samsung?
These tvs are not close. QD OLED is way better than the LG G4 WOLED nonsense. The Samsung is so much more vibrant and rich. Which is not being displayed on this video for reasons many people already know. NO WOLED looks better than a QD OLED at this time.
The C4 looked better in most of the scenes it was brighter at least on what you showed. The S90 completely trounces the C4 in gaming tho that alone is reason to pick the S90D.
@@TechWithKGIt’s a shame because the C4 could’ve been the clear choice if it didn’t tone map and was brighter for games. It seems LG is afraid of giving it MLA so it won’t come close to the G4 and people buy the C4 instead. At this point it’s who gimps it more but Lg using Woled is not helping maybe they should use Qled for their C4 so it won’t always loose to the Qled In the future.
I am looking at the samsung s95c or the LG G3 both 77" . They are going for the same price here. It will used the most for netflix etc.. and some sport streaming(football). And some little gaming. Which tv do you recommend?
I like the LG’s colors (especially the greens) better too. I thought it was because I’m watching this on a LG C3 but I guess not. I wanted to see the differences in the C4 besides 144hz gaming. But I think I’ll wait to see what the C5 has to offer next year.
The question I have about the two is if the S90D model uses the wOled panel do you still see the picture differences? If not other than the OS I would say stick with the LG. I have heard of too many complaints about the build quality lately on Samsung TV’s and monitors.
LG C4 as the Samsung depending on size and I'm assuming if your using it as a monitor your probably going for size 48 or 42 has the same exact panel as the LG c4 does.
On Costco the Samsung 65 inch S90D is 1599.99 as of Nov 15, 2024. Would this be QD-OLED or WOLED? Nowhere in the specs does it say that it is a QD-OLED..?
Where do you see this you have a time stamp? This is filmed on a 6k Cinema Camera in 12 bit HDR. If it’s slightly out of focus it’s to make sure no issues occur when filming the screen like moire or grids. It’s possible that in some shots I Manuel focused too far off.
@@TechWithKG I sent you three comments with pictures tagged from this video. I literally sent it three different places in this video because I wasn't seeing it show up, are you saying you didn't see them? This is going to be super easy for me to prove in any event because it is present in virtually every single WOLED vs QD-OLED/ WOLED vs plasma video you will find on the whole of the internet. The pictures I sent you showed it beautifully and it's more than obvious it has nothing to do with the way you filmed the video. If you need me to, I'll watch the video again and tell you the timestamps so you can screenshot the images yourself.
The S90D is still superior in all aspects, especially after it's calibrated and tuned to your personal taste. I've had one for 2 months, and have been to see the C4 in person as well and can tell you with full confidence that WOLED is inferior to QD OLED in almost every way. LG and Sony's processing is still a touch better than Samsung, but that's only really noticeable with low bitrate content, and has nowhere near as big of an impact as it used to. Given that the C4 and S90D are the same price right now (at least the 55 and 65'' models are), the smart money is on the S90D by a long shot
Samsung processing is just so poor. Compare the two screens and the Samsung always looks softer than the LG. Fine details are lost and clarity is lower. Sure the colors are better on the Samsung but everything else is worse.
Exactly the reason why I sold my 83” S90C and got a 83” C3 and I returned the 77” S90C and got a 77” A95L. Hated Tizen too. My 55” C1 upscaled better and looked better than the “77 S90C QD OLED. Will admit it tho, gaming on the 77” S90C was awesome, when the TV actually recognized the gaming console…..
It has MUCH better gradient handling. That's the tradeoff. Samsung has an undefeatable color gradient filter because as you mentioned color is what they are known for.
Go for the S90D also if your having a hard time deciding if you have a best buy around you could go and check out the tv, s in person that's always a good way to make a decision sometimes you may have to see them in person to figure out what you really. But either way you go both tv, s are good I know this cause I have both myself I do however prefer the S90D and I do mixed use on itovies games tv and I think you will enjoy youroves on the S90D more the colors just pop on it and the brightness omg. But as I said before just go check them out yourself and see what you prefer.
@TheBoochi-j7b thank you for your reply. I will definitely go to the store to have a look. They just don't have them in stock now. many are sold because it is Black Friday. But it's hard to compare them in the store when they only play their 4k videos
Nov '24, I'm on the verge of buying my 77". The Samsung reviews tend to be a bit better than the LGs. The price is the same at my local big box. I don't game, I want a TV for movies, streaming, DVDs to replace my less than optimal 9 year old Samsung 4k 60hz with much too much QLED blooming around the periphery. The pictures on the LG at the big box, high light environment are consistently better than the Samsung. Because of my travel schedule, purchase probably won't be made until just after Christmas, so I've still got a month to decide.
When you start researching you will find ALOT of people having hardware and software issues with the Samsung. Same as me. Hdmi port broken, random screen flickers, Q Symphony not working flawless, motion issues, bugs here and there. I am not the only one. Returned it
@TechwithKG Why is the performance of the c4 so superior compared to your comparison between the C4, B4 and S90D? The S90D looks much better in your other Video...
LG C4 is just plain a better picture, sharper, clearer. Samsung shows a little more color variations, but the C4 blows it out of the water on picture quality.

I havent personally tried the S90D. But from personal experience with the LGC1, the terrible user interface and remote are enough to go with the Samsung. Its something that doesnt get talked about enough in these reviews - although I'm glad to see it being mentioned here. I bought my tv after hours of research and never really heard about how bad the OS and UI are. Simply put, LG's OS and UI are the worst i have ever seen on any tv by far. Not only is it slow, difficult to navigate, with confusing menu options and options hidden in places that you would never know about unless you spend hours researching. It is so laggy! My $400 visio smart tv that i had before the LG was even better than this. It is truly that bad. So bad in fact, i even bought an amazon firestick just to avoid using the Web OS altogether, which really sucks because now I have 2 remotes i have to keep around. Oh yeah and the magic remote sucks too. The wand feature would be cool if it actually worked better. It does make inputting text easier when you get used to it. But that's about all its good for. Otherwise it is terrible. The buttons feel terrible, it is big and heavy, no backlighting, no rechargable battery, laggy as heck, and the wand feature doesnt work nearly as well as it ought to. Yes the image quality is good and it is great for gaming. But that is it. Im not necessarily saying i would sacrifice a substantial amount of image quality for a better OS/UI, but if the difference is marginal or barely even perceptibe, then yeah I would definitely go with the nother option.

Oh wow that's sucks I'm sorry to hear about that I also have a c4 and the Samsung s90d my C4 I have had for 6 months with no issues knock on wood maybe you just got a lemon? However if you decide to go with the S90D you will like that tv alot way better color brightness and clearer picture than the LG c4. Only downside is if you have an issue with the tv Samsung is not as reliable for repairs as LG is.
When I saw that the C4 has horrible viewing angles with noticeable green tint and the s90d has nearly perfect viewing angles with much richer color. The choice was clear.
Just noticed why I have been seeing a big clarity difference between the s95d and s90d, and it may be a big selling poing of the s95d over the s90d. Anyways, I absolutely can not believe no one noticed that in movement shots, the 95d is kinda darn clear while the 90d pretty darn blurry. And not a bit. It's rather huge. Like really huge. Why it was not caught at the least in the various sports scenes tests is odd. Guess no one paused when people were jumping around or the brush pushing the green powder not fast ect. Scenes are in slow motion you can not tell!! Anyways if you like sports I highly recommend you check the s90d vs the s95d video here. Pause on one of the many non still or slow motion scenes and I think it will make the choice for you for super clear motion.
Is it me or does the S90D look dim at times? That was my issue with it side-by-side with the X90L but I also saw it even with the C4 in this video. Towards the end of the video though with the motorcycle stunts, they were trading blows scene by scene and the C4 suffered as much. Frustrating because neither is able to hold a vibrant bright image and they are hitting their limits.
TVs at this level still have some limitations regarding aggressive tone mapping and even at times ABL although most people won’t notice them until they have something to compare it with.
Very underrated
they are paid lg pan bois
Samsung cant build good software
They're both shyte software experiences.
Samsung is hazy though, perfect example is at 4:12 the rails look blurry AF on the Samsung where as LG looks way more cleaned and detailed, I have seen both TV’s in person, Samsung just struggles for clarity and details, but the colours are absolutely insane on the Samsung no TV on the market can match Samsung for the colours pop and depth, but that comes at the cost hazy, grainy pictures, if you truly want a finer picture quality it’s LG, and if you want insane colour pop it’s Samsung all day long
S90D's colours look artificial
It would be very interesting to see a comparison between the 42/48 cuts, taking into account that they are both woled models for both brands.
That’s what I came here for
Are we assuming they'd be apples to apples?

That tv has a w-oled screen
Yeah I would have to go with the LG C4!
Yup keep in mind 42” and 48” versions are always reduced in peak brightness so what you are saying makes sense
The c series only gets small changes year to year.
Uh there is no difference between the c2 and c4 that’s why you have buyers remorse 😂

What do you think of the TCL C855? Which other more popular model do you think it is comparable to?
🎉 thanks
LG C4:
Brightness: Contrary to some complaints, the LG C4 is not that dim.
SDR brightness is more compared to S90D, Lower content Pixel Upscaling is Impressive in LG than S90D
HDR Brightness: The HDR brightness is excellent this year, reaching 1000 nits, which is more than enough for most users.
S90D:
Gaming: If you're focused purely on gaming, the S90D is a good choice. However, the colors may look off, and the image can appear flat with no 3D depth.
Panel Issues: The S90D panels are prone to slight bending, regardless of how many replacements you get.
If your purely into Gaming go pick S90D
Please go and check out yourself with your eyes and pick the best one that fits your needs

I like the colors better on the LG, which is strange because in the past Samsung was known for having more color pop. In particular the color green looks too dark on the Samsung at 2:10.
It could probably be improved by tuning the settings.
The tv's are uncalibrated
That video is not a correct representation of the tvs, qled has more color volume so colors will always look brigher on it, wrgb oled use white light for brightness so colors like red, green etc will look a bit washed out at high brightness on a lg compared to the qd oled but the color white will allways look better on the wrgb oled.
I have both and my 90d kills my c4! Brightness and color pop and volume is no comparison. The c4 needs the mla panel.

True. I chose mini led for this reason in spite of Oled superior picture quality
One more thing regarding brightness. The S90D tops out at 1200 nits, and even during the day I find myself turning the brightness down.
@@Whitewolf_1186 ya the Bravia 8 is the TV I want. I only considered the 9 because I sometimes worry about burn in. But I’ve had the A80J since it came out and I don’t have any burn in yet. I’ll buy the 8 near Black Friday.

It's known that Sony's implementation of DV is broken.
Samsung doesn’t support DTS audio, or Dolby Vision?

Hey KG. In relation to motion handling and upscaling in streaming(Netflix etc) how do these two compare?
Did you set the expression enhancer to brightness on LG C4 in game mode? it can give a big boost to brightness and color vibrancy in games.
But it won't be there for SDR games.
Don't use game mode use allm with any video settings you want it's the same latency

@@TechWithKGIt’s a shame because the C4 could’ve been the clear choice if it didn’t tone map and was brighter for games.
Nowhere in the specs does it say that it is a QD-OLED..?
c4 is the most brighter tv in almost every scene. C4 is better
Lies

You are out of your mind! Go on Rtings compare and put in both TVs- the Samsung is WAY brighter than the LG C3. It's not even close.
C4?? The S90D is more comparable to LG G4. 🤔
Lol no...just....no.
Was wondering if you had a discord channel or if you know of a TV discord channel? I got a couple of questions about my recent purchase.
No discord, it’s something I eventually want to get but you can ask them here, people will respond and I’ll respond.
Are you filming this on a cell phone? I keep seeing the image focus in and out.
Liked. I just returned my C4 to get a S90C instead. Hopefully wasn't a mistake.
You wont. QD-Oled is the superior technology.
@@FlaviusPaul Didnt even unbox it. Whole internet says QD Oled is better than what C4 can offer
@@gangs0846C4 has superior motion processing. Better than Sony
@@PatrickA1 only G4 has the new processor that "beats" sony
Not a mistake if gaming is done at all.
If you live in Usa
If you live in europe ist WOLED VS WOLED
Hi what are the main settings you would advise on the s90d ?
The 77 s90d rn is 100 less than c4 and 300 less than bravia8. With that in mine it is hard to justify increased price for a worse panel...
@@johanmelis12 No!! QD OLED versions in Scandinavia!! as last years 77" 90/93C that was second panel! but also S90D, S95D are QD OLED !!

Which one do you recommend for mixed use? S90D 55 QD OLED or OLED C4 55
S90D if you do any gaming at all I do think its a better TV in general. QD-OLED is just better than W-OLED.
@TechWithKG Yes I play, it would literally be for mixed use. I watch movies, series, animes, sports and games and of course
That’s just untrue
ok lg pan boi
@@randomhumanonearth777 ok samsung pan boi.
It has MUCH better gradient handling. That's the tradeoff. Samsung has an undefeatable color gradient filter because as you mentioned color is what they are known for.
How is the brightness on the C4 in gaming if you keep Game Optimizer off and just run it with Filmmaker + ALLM?
so which one? I have been deciding for a long time and now they are the same price, 1399 through black friday
I think S90D is an overall better TV, especially if you do any gaming.
@TechWithKG I'm more into watching TV, netflix, MAX than playing games
Returned it
Returned mine too! Flickered right out of the box.

C4 vs S90C?
@TechwithKG
Why is the performance of the c4 so superior compared to your comparison between the C4, B4 and S90D? The S90D looks much better in your other Video...
Do you think the S90D is a stronger pick over the S95C?
C4 has a green tint while the S90D has a magenta tint .. it all comes down to personal preference

Can someone help me. My samsung s90d came with software 1106... should i go to the latest update? I see so many mixed opinions. Thank you
However I need a 42 TV, S90D smallest size is 55,it’s too big. Other 42 or 43 tv options?
Hello, I would appreciate it if you could answer, I wanted to buy the S90D 65, but Samsung has not yet launched it in this size in Brazil, and it is also not shipping to my state because of the floods that occurred, the S95D in partner stores is very expensive, I'm in doubt between LG G3 or S90C?! both with great prices
A S95D nem tá tão astronômica assim, 16K, também estou na dúvida entre ela e a G3.

Hi Tech with KG, i have a question and i will be thankful if you awnser this, i am from El Salvador and i want yo buy a samsung s90d qn55s90dapxpa, and i would like to know if Is woled or qd oled pannel, thank you.
La S90D es QD-OLED
c4 looks really good for the price
At the 4:20 mark, the lights on the S90D appear to flare up in a way that resembles the effect I experience when I take off my glasses at night.
65 G4 is already 1900euros here in germany (cheaper than S90D)
Also dont forget the 65 inch size is the only size in Germany with qd oled
The rest is woled
I just bought the C4 and it quit working at 4 days. The power will not turn on. They tech support is sending me another tv and said they see this happen all the time. Im am considering canceling the order and getting the samsung instead.
My C4 has no green tint and older versions have been updated and who sits at a 90 degree angle from any tv
What's with everything being greener on the C4, especially white colour isn't white but green 4:35, does anyone know if you can get rid of that?
The c4 which I own has to much color banding in sky's been tearing my nerves up if anyone knows a solution please let me know before i switch tvs
The LG C4 seems to have a green tint on the panel ? 😢
No Dolby Vision on any Samsung TVs. Deal-breaker, bad decision, Samsung.
Just want to mention something, not all games support HDR so OLEDS don't get very bright in SDR. Mini Leds do.
S95D Samsung QD-OLED can get almost as bright in SDR as most Mini LED TVs and S90D can get pretty close as well, depends on the TV.
@@TechWithKG I have the 55" S90D and it does get bright in SDR but the Hisense U8N gets way brighter in SDR.
