THANKS Jenn for all you do!
Hey Fomo my pleasure! Thx for the shoot out.
I bought my panasonic Oled Z95A, I'm delighted with the image, I would never change it for Hisense.
Just pulled the trigger on the LG G4 83" because of all yout guys content. Keep up the good work
les goooo you got the largest "best" oled (mla/qd oled are the best rn) so great purchase. how much was it?
Wow
I also ordered the G4 83”. I get it three weeks ago and for me it was very important to get the MLA because of the brightness.
I was not sure about the G4 and my other option was the Bravia 9 (85”), but up to now I’m very happy with the G4. It’s also bright, but the better micro contrast is visible all the time.
Furthermore I think you will get more money if you sell the G4 in a few years compared to the B9
@@welschvid exactly, the micro contrast makes all the difference ESPECIALLY in SDR movies!!
Panasonic is proper premium,Best picture quality and processing out of anyone bar none!
The 48" z90a is my favorite size , brand ,, design ,,, out of box picture ; and features ( worth every penny ) .
Why is nobody talking or making videos of the A95l vs the Panasonic?
who cares ? Z95A only comes until 65"
Great show. Nice to get some laughs in with you guys!
The G4 was on sale for $2700 for a 65 at Best Buy last week so I snatched it up
bruh that's an awesome deal, great buy!!!
A modded s90C would be way better value for similar image quality for like 1000$ for the 65 inch
Lul and inpaid 3200 for the 77 inch pansonic
Wonder what improvements Lg will make for the G5.
I have read a Artikel that LG Shows the g5 Tech some people..
There will be nothing Special or "new"..a little Bit brighter 🤷
Bit brighter 😂 for the full price. All that for hdr content who is clipped at 1k nit😂
Its here! Whos ready? Honestly, both these TVs look amazing.....
Hopefully with Amazon maybe pushing it, and Brian's comments in earlier video . Panasonic will at least release a 77" MLA next year. Plus then is released in NZ as well. LG Display surely must be bringing costs down. Think for all in one solution, very natural PQ , good tone mapping. Panasonic is a good option for many. Cost being competitive. In my county G4 65" , S95D and Z95A all similar in price. An 83" QD-OLED next year will bring great completion and pressure on prices ( again 90% likely to happen from rumours ) .
Panasonic release the first MLAs with no speaker option , but low sales as enthusiasts forget they are only a smaller market. This 65" MLA with speakers is great for many apartment , small house people in many countries
Well, to my 50 yr old eyes, the G4 is good enough for me 65" delivery tomorrow paired with Onkyo RZ50 for sound and gameing it will do me.😊
QUANTUM TV compared the LG G4 to the S95D he had the G4 on vivid mode on the colours on the LG looked washed out and horrendous but the colours on the S95D looked over saturated. Plus he used some very choice words slating the LG G4 stating he is a professional collaborater or words to that effect. I dunno but you should watch that episode I would love your thoughts on this. Thanks.
Does the LG C4 also suffer the same color desaturation as the LG G4 In.these slides?
I love watching you guys. Keep up the great work.
With LG Software update 23.20.40 the G4 gained additional 200+ NITS and runs cooler now.
Thanks FOMO and Brian
I ordered my G4 can’t wait to get it. All I do is stream though through a nice fast gaming router will my G4 still look top tier amazing? Ty I love your videos
Good choice, I bought 77" model before 3 months, really amazing TV!
That’s a great TV is the G4. I viewed the S95D, the G4 and the Z95A in the store today. In fact for average viewing they were all outstanding. But if you’re doing frame by frame as these 2 world class calibrators are doing on this channel then you will see subtle differences.
Hey FOMO! I've got this 10-foot wide wall in my living room, and we sit about 8 feet away. At first, I was set on getting a massive 83-inch OLED TV, but now I'm thinking, "Why not go even bigger with a projector or would you recommend a mini led?" The thing is, I've never actually seen a projector in action, other than in cinemas or bars, so I'm wondering how the picture quality compares. I'm currently using a 65-inch LG OLED in my bedroom.
I'm also super curious about how the Hisense PX3 Pro or AWOL VISION LTV-3500 Pro stack up against mini-LED TVs like the U7N or B9. We're mostly going to use it for family movie nights and some serious gaming sessions on my gaming laptop with an RTX 4090 GPU.
So, what do you think? I'd love to hear your take on this!
I'm definitely interested in the Z95A, but I hate paying extra for internal speakers I won't use. That $3200 price tag is not an easy sell. How much of that is for the 'fancy' speakers I won't be using?
My guess is 200 hundred
Will you be reviewing the Z85a and compare it to the Z95a as well?
Not planned but I can tell you it’s less bright than Z95A
@@stopthefomo yea I would think so since it doesn’t have MLA, but because the two models have the same processor (unlike the c4 vs g4), I was wondering how much of a difference it would make in a dark room as I mainly watch at night. I’ll be upgrading from my Panasonic ZT60 plasma so I’m sure even the z85 will be brighter.
LG 83 C4 is back down to $3,750 at Best Buy. Meanwhile the G4 83 Inch is STILL $5,999 and usually over $6,200. At this point there's almost no reason not to get the C4 other than if you really think the brightness difference is worth that crazy premium. And if it's difference between an 65 Inch Panasonic, this it's nonsense not to get the C4 when the price difference is only a few hundred.
I had the G4, the Processing isn't any different than the C4. C4's crime is it's just a boring TV with a Picture that doesn't "Wow." But it's hard to find "fault" with the Picture quality as well. I still prefer the QM8 85.
Great Show as Always, Thanks Fomo an Brian!!!
With Panasonic back, maybe they will start making PLASMA again!
@@michael-4k4000 the Panasonic is now a Chinese company is not Japanese company technology and it's too expensive and complicated to Chinese to do a good plasma 4K I don't want to think if you have 8K plasma is a dream 🤔🥴
@mordimeshita1754 would love to have seen 4k plasma. Perhaps over time they would have been able to increase the brightness
@@michael-4k4000 to my experience what you don't have in your TV you don't have in your TV at all that's fact
Brian actually looks nice with glasses. Great video as alawys.!
So Brian if you could have either YV for free you would pick LG? After wanting Panasonic back in the USa.Also brighter does not mean more accurate.
correct, my testing shows Z95A to be more color accurate (more saturation) out of the box than G4
For me I would probably go for the G4. More sizes available and for the 65" it's like $600 cheaper.
The Bravia 7 looks washed out next to a G4. I had both sets side by side in my home. Tried multiple settings on both sets.
That’s because g4 have infinite contrast, miniled can’t keep up
How come you don’t use the reference Sony monitor for these comparisons?
I really like your content guys and thanks for your effort in testing the TVs. In this comparison your are contradicting Vincent, who has shown that the LG G4 has a better color saturation in highlights because of their color boosting algo. Vincent has shown this in multiple examples in his videos.
Maybe you can check your LG G4 again to clarify this. I assume that something might be wrong with your G4 or its settings.
nope not a contradiction at all, I answered this exact question in the livesream - G4 will hit higher color luminances and saturate better in specific color window patterns HOWEVER, in real movie content, G4 goes too bright and loses color saturation whereas Z95A pulls brightness down a little to give you full color saturation in that same scene (albeit slightly less bright) - the problem is that the G4 is consistently too agressive in the highlights even when I adjust tone mapping to professional for max color gradation. So G4 is erring on the side of brightness willing to lose saturation whereas Z95A is erring on the side of less bright to preserve saturation.
@@stopthefomo Thanks for your reply and what you write makes logically sense. However, in min. 42:15 in your stream you said - quote: "Clearly there is an issue with the G4". Maybe I misunderstood you here, but it sounded like you think that something is off with the G4 in front of you, right?
Also, Vincent did not use color window patterns to demonstrate the color saturation in highlights of the G4. He used real movie scenes to demonstrate that, especially scenes with bright fire. I think it would be great to have another look at this. Maybe there is an actual difference in the firmware or in the settings of the TVs that you and Vincent tested. If I were to decide right now whether to buy a Z95A or G4, I would be a bit confused as a buyer. Maybe this topic is even worth a dedicated video.
Thank you again for all the great content!
Does Brian just interrupt FOMO constantly?
Yes he is high on something. No interest in commenting about the tv comparison. Feel sorry for FOMO
How come you didn't just compare all 3 units?
The G4 looks brighter to me but both images look very good
Panasonic has nothing more to offer, LG has caught up and is catching up with Panasonic in terms of image processing.
How is the low bit rate content picture quality for sources like streaming , TH-cam . Etc etc.
Compared to the Sony A95L and LG G4.
Does the Z95A perform about the same?
Thanks.
The panasonic performs better
Why only bring 65"?
UN9 wanna see what's it's about😊
I liked the fuller, more natural looking top image more, so I was sure it would be the Panasonic, but I was prepared to eat crow if I was wrong. Thankfully I was right. 😅 Love the coverage guys! ❤😃
How is Panasonic allowed to use MLA? Did LG license MLA to Panasonic?
I think the MLA technology is something sold by LG display, whereas LG electronics sells the actual TVs.
LG Display sells the MLAOLED stack to Panasonic as an OEM
@@stopthefomo Yes I know its LG display, but why doesnt LG display sell to Sony or Samsung? It makes sense when Panasonic was not sold in US, as US is largest buyer of new TV's. Now LG has direct competition to there G series line. If you are going to sell to one company, it would make sense to sell to all companies. Why limit your customers?
@michael-4k4000 they don't limit their customers but samsung for their flagship tvs use their own qd oled tech so don't require or want an lg mla panel.
They do however buy woled standard panels for their budget oled and large oled panel model tvs
Panasonic also is not the only buyer of mla panel stacks from lg but also philips buy them.
Sony looked at it and prefers qd oled for their flagship model over using mla panels. They still buy standard woled panels for their lower tier oled models.
@@michael-4k4000They do sell to Sony and Samsung. the Samsung S90 and Sony A90, which aren’t QD-OLED, use LG OLED panels.
Hey FOMO my calibrated G4 is much more vibrant in Dolby vision FMM than HDR10. I think they may have nerved their HDR10 and that hurt them in the shoot out
Will the z95a go on sale Black Friday?
Panasonic does discount in NZ more Than Sony on it's flagships, best will probably be in new year when you have your big sales ( February ?? )
Yes, but not a huge discount
@@nimblegoatyea Sony has the worst discounts
@@nimblegoatI’m from NZ as well, huge sale on at the moment. Went to Harvey Norman. Looked at 3 TVs, the S95D, the G4 and the Z95A. The Samsung remote control is ludicrously small and everything is in the menu. G4 looked impressive. Panasonic 55ins was selling for around 3,600 bucks as was the G4. Sylvia Park Sony outlet store has the A95L at 4,600 bucks.
Cheers Ak, NZ
Columbo, the true benchmark 😊
I need a 55 inch Z85A for my bedroom viewing.😮
Maybe the colour difference blue especially is probably different gamma values. 2.2 colours look fainter than 2.4.
Brian: You look a bit like Clark Kent with those glasses 🙂
Ambas se ven excrlente.
Sony just had the update the other day on the Bravia 9 and it messed up contrast Advanced enhanmentblow-medium high and and black adjust control low medium and high they don't work anymore plus it stutters more now than ever it was sent out on September 16th bringing the Bravia 9 back
You two could talk about Kleenex for 2 hours and I would stop what I’m doing and listen !!!❤❤❤❤
i would love the Panasonic in a 65 inch but at £3899 its a bit too pricey.
I prefer the z95a it has more plasma like image 😊
Jep, jep. Forget ur nostalgia and chose LG, u get better tv for cheaper.
Price performance qd-oled smash both .
you prefer baby sized 65" panels over 77" QD Oled or 83" MLA ?
Okay. Stay with Panasonic.
Who said that ?! Read carefully before commenting .
Anybody know if the lg g4 hdmi port 2 issue/bug has been fixed?
Imagine TVs start listing “Colombo approved” on the Specs? lol 😂. Definitely create a Colombo license and sell it to the manufacturers, like THX or IMAX does.
People paying $3,000 or more on TVs just to watch Columbo.
don't forget colorful Miami Vice!
you need good tv audio for that one!
LG G4 literally half the price....... No brainer!
same price on amazon. LG G4 is on sale for about $600 less, but after sale ends then they're same price on amazon.
Don't blink price dropped by 33% again. $2259 for 65 inch g4 at lg website with 10% code just for visiting site.
Sono molto deluso dal panasonic z 95 a , mi aspettavo immagini più luminose , per me lg g4 è il re dei televisori 👑
Missed some of it shucks😂
Im guessing the reason Panasonic and Sony price their TV's stupidly higher than competitors is the fact they buy the panel's from LG and Samsung.
Also because YT influencers simp hard for them without any factual reasoning besides 'it looks better ' 😂😂
Brian too kidish with the brain think, these are not comedy channels nor kids channels
Agree he should do something else. Wast of time
at this point there’s no 2024 TV that’s satisfying me because they have one floor that ruins it for me so I’m just going to wait for 2025. Also I hope Panasonic goes QDOLED because along with HDR 10+ and Dolby vision Panasonic will be the closest to the perfect TV. The only thing missing is all four ports being HDMI 2.1 at that point. also, I hope 2025. Panasonic TVs will be in retail stores like Best Buy where I can see it in person.
Panasonic buys panels from lg at this moment. For QD they have to switch dont know if they gonna do that
83 G4 LG is the best TV you can buy in 2024. Comes with 5 year burn in warranty as well. No brainer G4 is the beast
For usability, yes G4 is best. But I own both G4 and A95L and the sony looks better visually. Unfortunately the A95L is a PITA to use and bugs out a lot.
@@keithskoglund10I heard it more often that a95l is more clicking and options and buggy.
The tv is about 1000 euros more expensive than g4 in the same sizs.
I think i would save the 1000 euro’s and go for g4 because g4 is very neat and essy to operate, does a good job at all. But sometimes have slight worse green and red. Picture on g4 is still one of the best and 5 yr warranty is good to have.
@@masomaf Yup I totally agree and recommend G4 over A95L. I use the G4 almost every day and the A95L sits around collecting dust for the random time I want to deal with it.
you dont spend 3k on a tv and use built in audio.
I'm from Europe and have a Panasonic LZ2000 in 77 inches. an LG G3 65 inch. Here too, the colors are better with Panasonic. With LG the colors appear washed out and too white.
You have the same TV as me….
Must be panasonic processing...
I have the 65hz2000... I just hope panasonic go 83 inch... but options for flagship screens without the atmos speakers ike they did with the jz series...
The Hz2000 was a great TV. I hope that next year a 77 inch with Qdoled will finally come from Panasonic. or at least with mla. I don't think anyone understands why Panasonic doesn't make larger TVs :)
@stefanocatalano4360 completely...I love their picture and processing but in ways seem to be lacking with smaller flagship screens and some manufacturers now cutting corners giving cheap remotes for expensive tvs.. I'm looking to go bigger when I move and if paying premium want a remote to match... The remote to the hz2000 is decent brushed metal with a bit of weight to it not quite as heavy as 9g kuro remote but still effort was put into it...
out the box 📦 z95a is better
Was whisper drunk during this?
Confirmed the 77A95L does not have the Generation 3 panel at all and not from any date past or present. Reginal Rep contacted the National rep who knows the77A95L product line and he said only 2nd Generation. You need to be careful of what you are saying about the 3rd generation panel on the A95L model after a certain date or whenever . Show the proof or you are false advertising for yourself or affiliates. Think about it, they run out of 2nd generation panel than the S90D will also have the 3rd generation also. Bad FOMO.
hard to see Panasonic competing with that price tag
Panasonic chips are always better than LG therefore will always look better even though there damn OLED panel. Hollywood uses Panasonic.
Panasonic uses the same Mediatek chips Sony and Samsung use. LG makes their own processors as far as I know.
Z95A is a bedroom TV at 65" size, and doesn't come with MLA in 77".
Even then at that size the A95L being QD Oled, and having superior colors destroys it.
FireTV is a turn-off, it's the same software that all the budget 200 dollar TVs use, doesn't feel premium.
Who cares? The only important thing is image quality.
Hi, Fomo! everyone talks about how panasonic is more expensive, do you guys buy a new TV every week? I buy once every 10 years am I willing to pay more for 10 years I'm not a fan of brands, I'm a fan of picture quality and the best cinematic picture out of the box has Panasonic!
10 years? Modern tv’s dont last 10 years anymore..
@@masomaf Agree, Sony don't!
I'm so disappointed of Panasonic is only WOLED panel like LG technology and the operating system is only fire TV it's not Google TV and it's not working most of the country I'm so disappointed Panasonic not improve anything what I see is Panasonic copy LG 1:1 LG G4 win because it's more brightness and more clarity and more sharpness bottom line is not Panasonic plasma 🙄
I agree, it's too late for them to return to the US. Only 3 or 4 years ago Panasonic had the best Oleds on the market since they were the only ones who figured out the near black handling and had the best natural color/accuracy combined with the best processing next to Sony. However, now that QD-Oled exists and LG has pretty much caught up to Panasonic in terms of processing and accuracy (they even exceed them in some areas like color brightness), they're pretty much irrelevant at this point. I'd take any of the QD-Oleds (even an S90C/D) over the Z95A and the LG G4 is pretty much about as good overall for a lower price - so a really really hard sell.
@@floz9718indeed as I said from start to finish- DOA. Minimally better than G4 for much more. Same or greater price (Uk) than A95L. Only fanboy would buy it. They don’t like to discount them either.
@@whitecrowuk575 True, 4 years ago the enthusiast community would have lost it when Panasonic came back to the US. Now noone in their right mind would buy a Z95A over a A95L!
I love Panasonic and I would buy another Oled from them in a heartbeat if they started to use QD-Oled panels. The panel hardware is simply the most important part of a TV - no amount of processing or "accuracy" is gonna fix a subpar hardware.
If they at least had some attractive step down model or some interesting size choices but the have neither - their 77" model doesn't even have MLA!
So Panasonic - at their current status and pricepoint - should only be considered again once they start incorporating a better panel. I don't see them ever using panel from Samsung display so I guess we'll have to wait until LG Display releases an RGB-Oled panel - which sadly will not happen until at least 2026...
@@floz9718still much much better than Bravia 8, which far better Sounds and a Much Brighter screen from the MLA tech.
Seriously you’re really disappointed? Just buy a Samsung or Sony. Why would you be disappointed over this? lol it’s kinda silly. Be happy Panasonic’s back. More than likely next year they’ll be selling either both like Sony or just QD-OLED. I have a Sony A95L, it’s slightly better than my LG C2, it’s so slight a difference that none of my family noticed it wasn’t the same TV. In fact not one person that saw it said anything good or bad. So I don’t think QD-OLED is a huge improvement over WB-OLED. I think most folks like 95% won’t be able to tell a difference you and me and the rest of the people watching can tell the difference and prefer one or the other or love them both personally I love them both.
This was a waste of time. 😢
Not impressed with the Panasonic at all
Panasonic has nothing more to offer, LG has caught up and is catching up with Panasonic in terms of image processing!!
Mi aspettavo di più sinceramente da panasonic, lg g 4 per me è il re dei tv 👑📺👌
g4 washed out
