    The best pillow I have tried is the Retouchpillow, its is so comfortable, like a cradle for your head and its made chemical free.
    Also I like that it doesnt have two Big Blocks on each side of your face.. it also comes with a Nice dustbag for travelling..

    I have the Sleep and Glow pillow and think it's just OK. For the last month I've been using the "Envy" pillow. It's the same concept but it's more comfortable for me and it's easier to put your head in the middle and when on your side it's tilted so your face isn't squashed up. I prefer this to the Omnia. Thanks for sharing about the sleeping mask, I use a silk mask but this one you mentioned sounds interesting. I will check it out!

      I have the Beauty Pillow. It's a lot cheaper than the Omnia and very similar. I think the main problem I have with either brand is how thin the pillows are. I just cannot understand why. I find that when I sleep on my side, the shoulder under is so crushed. Mind you I am just very small, just 160cm tall and 55kg. I really wonder about ladies who are bigger and taller... how do they even survive sleeping on such thin pillows? It is extremely uncomfortable. I know they do sell add on which is extra cost but they should simply make the pillows thicker.

    I’m a great fan of my Blissy silk pillowcases. I’ve bought my daughters one each as well and they love them. They never feel hot or cold or harsh. I wash them in the washing machine on a delicates wash inside a laundry bag and they have been fine. One even survived an inadvertent 40 degree cotton wash!!! I can’t imagine going back to cotton now. Thanks for your great channel.

    I trained myself to sleep on my back. Soooo much better. Took quite a long time but finally actually sleep so much better. I use a 7inch wedge and 2 pillows under my knees.
    I tried all of the different sleep pillows and the only thing that didn’t crease my face was back sleeping. My boss has really severe permanent sleep creases from sleeping on his side and back.

      @meganbaydorman5094 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was considering training myself to do the same but then that initial research came out recently about side sleeping being good for brain health (and not doing it possibly increasing chances of dementia - I think so far that's just been shown in animals, though maybe they've now tested this in humans, I need to check again). So I'm a bit loathe to completely stop any side sleeping for now. May be worth a Google if that concerns you, otherwise just ignore me! x

    I got the pillow 2 days ago and am liking it so far, it does take getting used to, and I'm wiggling and trying to see what works for me. The tencel case that comes with it isn't as soft as my satin cases and it's a shame they don't sell satin cases. I just can't justify the cruelty behind the silk industry :( I will never own anything made from silk, but I heard satin is comparable.

    Only issue w/“silk” (I.e. slippy satin-y feeling fabrics) is they’re usually made of polyester and are HOT!! I switched from my silk pillowcases to more natural fabrics and it just feels better to sleep cooler. I also bought a Sleep and Glow pillow, and the shape of it did not do what it was intended to do for my neck length. My neck apparently is too short - the bump under the neck hurt my back and I couldn’t even reach the grooves that prevent wrinkles with my face, so my face just squished into the non-indented edges the same as any other pillow. I’ve tried so many and haven’t yet found my favorite.

    • @bhall9874
      @bhall9874 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JW, I think she's talking about actual silk (silkworm silk), not just silky material. Actual silk is a natural fabric.
      I think you're right that any very silky surface would also help with compression wrinkles. I have a pair of cotton sateen pillowcases that are almost as silky as my silk ones. Like you, though,++ I'd find polyester pillowcases uncomfortable to sleep on. Too hot in hot weather and too cold in cold.

    Well, you asked.
    I use Frownie-like patches on my 11 lines overnight and have been very pleased. I began about five years ago in the final decade of my working career when the 11 lines I already had began to multiply into 111111, etc., lines. The patches eliminated the fresh new lines but only kept the older, already-established 11 lines from getting deeper. I've been ok with that.
    On me, the patches work best on expression lines. They keep the area wrinkle free during use, so they give the skin in that location a break. A person who could also do something to stop making the wrinkle-causing expression during the day (relaxation? greater awareness? face yoga?) might be able to see a significant reduction in older wrinkles.
    The patches I use most of the time are polyethylene with an adhesive, although I've used different brands. They're triangular with rounded corners. Circular and small curved sausage shapes also seem to work, at least on my 11 lines. I tried but didn't like the silicone patches you seem to have used. I didn't have the trouble with their adhesion that some people reported, but I preferred the others because the reusable silicone patches had to be rinsed and dried every day and I couldn't wear my evening skincare under them. I also didn't like the actual Frownies. Those are or were made with a stiff brown paper backing and weren't as comfortable on me. The Frownies are also more expensive than the ones I use. I have tried patches that lacked a stiffish backing but delivered targeted skincare. These didn't keep my skin from wrinkling, so I count those as fails, at least on me.
    I also use two silk pillowcases from Lilysilk that I bought two years ago. These have one silk side and one cotton side. I bought them because I figured they wouldn't be a complete waste if I didn't like the silk to sleep on. I wash them in my washing machine by themselves on a delicate cycle and air dry them. If I wash anything else with them, I put them in a bag. The only really special thing I do is use a detergent that's specifically ok for silk. The pillowcases seem to have helped my hair. I don't have as many breaks and split ends, and I haven't changed anything else significant in my hair care.
    I hope this epistle is useful.

    I have never been able to get comfortable with the Sleep and Glo pillow. I end up tossing, turning, and readjusting the pillow all night and then not getting a good night's sleep. I do keep trying it again periodically but, I prefer my regular firm pillow with a silk pillowcase. I do like using silicone chest patches while I sleep. My chest is smooth with no sleep wrinkles when I wake up. I wish I could get used to sleeping on my back but, I just wake myself up with my own snoring! 😂

    I have a firm Emma pillow. I go to chiropractor once a month and want good neck support.
    Also sleeping on your back is bad for your lower back. So put a pillow under your bum to support your pelvis. 👍🏼
    When you sleep on your side put a pillow between your knees.

  • @holli918
    @holli918 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am a guy and the omnia is sorts yes no yes no yes no for me, if you happen to reposition yourself with your head too low at the edge of the pillow then you have the bulky lower size in your cheeks and that just increased the lines under my eyes, also I find it too thin and wish they offered additional layers to modify the overall height. I do love the feel of their foam though and then there are days when I think it works perfectly lol....there are some versions of pillows shaped like giant donuts, so essentially circle shaped pillows with a cutout in the middle that I would like try as I haven't found the perfect solution yet...
