i only remember his first name, it was Milan smth, he was a great albanologist, he did numerous papers and research on the albanian link, his thesis is that albanians are very much the genesis of civilisation in the northern balcans and beyond

That sounds more like what I'd expect, having spent plenty of time in Greece and Turkey and with Balkan folks, though I don't know many Albanians. I just like good music by good musicians, whatever they musicians call themselves.

Because you hear clarinet... an unusual instrument in western culture. other than that, the structure of music is very european (pentatonic, Doric).
Turks/Greeks/Klezmer/Gypsy/Bulgarian use a totally different music influenced by eastern scales.

I'm of Greek background, and it makes me sick to see Greeks scream about injustices done to them and then turn around and do the same thing to others. These Balkan borders are historically so new. If people treated each other like humans and respected each other, then why would we need all this ultra-nationalism? And how can you blame anyone for getting that way if you don't show them respect?

the Orthodox Albanian was born in Delvina, Albania.
There are no Orthodox in Kosovo... only Muslym and Catholic (they were all catholic before they were occupied by the Turks). That's because Kosovars are Northern Illyrians (mixed with Celts) and were governed by Rome... while Epirus where I come from was governed by the Byzantines.
In fact, Byzantium was found by a Kosovar: Constantine the Great (with Constantinopole as his ruling city).

  • @MusicOfEpirus
    @MusicOfEpirus  16 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Dude... this is ORTHODOX Music!
Albania is in Europe, and the most European gene pool.
Not even Greeks have blondes with blue eyes, and if they do, they are Albanians.
Take a look at some Albanians. Not even in Italy you find people so fair skinned. When the Celts came from Asia, Albanians were Europeans for at least 2000 more years.
You probably mean that it has some eastern influenced rhythms...

    • @Hardie_Boi

And if an albanian is not blonde then he is not albanian ? stop this racism.

  • @melkarth2000

It's pretty clear for the majority of the historians and ethnologues that Dacians and Illy=iryans were ralated. But the Dacians were romanised and they formed the romanian nation and the Ilyrians were just partially influenced lingvistically by the romans. There are some latin words in albanian too but not so much as in romanian.

I can only say thank yuou for your comment. It is true; ultra nationalism is also a sign of insecurity. the need to insult others to maybe make ourselves look and feel better. That goes for everybody. If we spend as much time and energy to see our commonalities instead of insulting each other the Balkans would be a better place for all the people living side by side....

I'm only speaking once about this.
No where it says that it is translated word per word.
This is translated AND adapted to the English language to the best possible.
Why don't you get busy on something else instead and translate "Mbas Pilafit" in English, and see how it goes? Make sure you don't use more than 3 words ;)

lol... in the Muslim world the boy would be killed. This is a free society he's talking about.
"Undone her hair" doesn't mean that she's wearing hijab either. It just means that she undid her pony tail to look better in his eyes.
Accent might be harsher because it's not an easy language, but close to ancient Greco-Latin:
    është - est, Lat
    është - εστῃ
    arria - arriva, Lat
    kap - caccia, Lat
    nëna - nonna, Ita
    pullum - pullum, Lat
    lëshuar - lasciare, Ita
    qante - chianto, Ita

  • @MusicOfEpirus
    @MusicOfEpirus  16 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes... Orthodox Albanian. Also, the aryan ANCIENT Greeks are the Albanians.
Go in Greece and ask them who are the real Greeks.
You'll be answered: "Oi Arvanites"... meaning "The Arbanites". Greek for Albanians.
The "antic greeks" never called themselves "Greek"... but by the name of their tribe. Archanians, Acheans, Spartans, Athenians.
Greeks today can't even tell you what Hellene means in their langauge... "because it's a pre-Hellenic word". Sounds like an idiotic paradox to me... and you?
