I am in Indiana so I knew what to expect the next day and you were 100 times more accurate than the local weather app. I know making daily or almost daily content is a lot of work, but last year I was able to base my fertilizing schedule off your videos and now I can't because you're jumping around days. Merely an observation just to poke your chops and thanks for the great content.

I'm loving the Escalade videos even though I have really been enjoying the abandoned mini resort videos. A nice little break until you get back to that. I tuned the DOD/AFM out of our 2009 Pontiac G8 GT. I actually picked up a couple of mpg on the highway after tuning it out. Eventually I'll have to do the DOD delete kit etc. It's only got 62K on it, and I bought the car two years ago with only 47K miles on it.
I’ve got an Escalade project of my own. It’s an ‘04 ESV and I keep replacing minor parts that go out. Sadly someone tried to steal it in Vegas a few weeks ago, so now I need a new column and ignition assembly. Totally gutted, but now I know not to park overnight in Vegas.

Great video! I also just got my cheap Escalade to run. I paid 3500 for an 07 black interior/exterior loaded with cracked piston ring land. I rebuilt it and put a set of forged summit pistons to avoid the same issue in the future. Living in Nevada I need to put a 3 row or maybe even 4 row radiator because it is not happy with this heat😂.
I think that’s the best engine an thing to happen after all the mishaps with this project the dod delete is the best thing you can do for these engines period put a tune on it raise the line pressures a bit in the transmission with hp tuners an you will love the “stock” luxury hot rod even better you got e85 injectors an it will drive really nice an probably won’t even see a difference in mpg if you keep your foot out 😁
You should send LKQ a bill for your all your labor and all the fluids you had to buy. Or they should give you the air intake as compensation for all all headaches they caused you. You are more patient and persistent than I am.
Naw. Because he didn't make a massive deal of it they'll give him a discount on anything he gets there using the discount code "remember that dead escalade engine you sold me?..."
And that's how they make sure you don't cause them anymore headaches by not doing business with you in the future.... They seemed to have honored their end of the deal.....

It's amazing how important plug wires are. I put new plugs and fuel filter on my rider yesterday. Wouldn't start. Wouldn't start. Thought it was fuel related. Then noticed the wire hanging there.
When people talk about EV's and what happens in 10 years if you need a new battery and it will cost $10,000. I just think about video's like this. If this was the average person needing to replace the engine in an Escalade, they would have to spend thousands to replace the engine. And I think about my friend that had a Forester XT that had to have the top end rebuilt and spent a few thousand on that. Then less than a week later it threw a rod bearing and trashed the whole motor. He just bought a salvaged motor and had to drive 2 states away to pick it up and put it back in himself. For the average person with no mechanical ability any major component failure out of warranty is going to cost a lot of $$$$.
If not for living/storage space... anti-mold-bug-radon... a better place to hang out when it's 70% humidity and 98 degrees...and .... a tornado shelter. Do you folks get those?
will a 2018 Silverado airbox work on this? I put a CAI on mine a while back and if so, I can go try to dig out the air box, I'm pretty sure I still have it.
Is that an auxiliary trans cooler in front of the condenser? If so it runs through radiator then aux cooler? looking to add an aux trans cooler to my Silverado
A bummer you had to do this job over, and lkq sending you an untested engine doesn't say much for them. I know you have bought a lot of parts through them, but whoever pulled that engine without testing it, needs to be fired. I just want to see the mini resort, this escalade is stealing the little resort that could lol. G-d bless.
Just heat and bend the PVC where you need it. Get some of the rubber couplers from home Depot or Menards in the plumbing area. Then cone filter from O OO rielys , wham bam cold air intake. Longs you have air getting sucked through maf. She don't have to be pretty, just functional

Yes, the GM 's need the MAS air flow system, to run correctly. That tube needs to flex with the movement of the engine.
