We Cut Down Trees and Flipped Cars Over to get them out! 3.5 Early Falcons Saved from the Crusher!

  • I have bought a lot of classic cars over the years but I don't think I have ever bought a car that had a tree growing thru it or one that was laying on its side. But all that changes today, we are back in the junkyard picking up the last 3.5 first generation Falcons we bought. 3 of which are 62-63 4 doors and one 63 1/2 Falcon Futura hardtop that has been cut in half. These are just going to be parts cars for us, not only can we use the parts but if I didn't buy these they were going to get crushed, and if at all possible I always try to save old cars from the crusher.

One day the kids will be telling stories to their kids about how much fun they had when they were younger digging cars out of the woods at the junkyard with their parents and how trees had grown thru em. I love that y’all do this kinda stuff together. I’m 44 and I still do stuff like this with my brother and my parents. I wouldn’t change it for nothin ! Thanks y’all .

I loved how in the last video or video before that right at the end squeezy just walked up to Wawa and just hugged her and Wawa just hugged her back. I love how your kids do that. I lost my sister when she was 18 to a car accident. It was 24 years ago this past Dec 27th. Being kids and doing those things are the only memories I have so it’s nice to see your kids do that. It’s obvious they are very close and believe me they have a bond that they will not share with anyone else in their lives. Love the channel!

Super fun episode here, but bittersweet for me. My grandpa gave me his dad’s 62 Falcon that he bought new off the lot. 4 door, I6 deluxe. The kids all involved (you forgot to remind Squeeze that without her contribution, none of it would be possible, Ralphie drove, WaWa drove, wrenched, scavenged parts from the eartt, THEN demonsteates her well-rounded upbringing via a piano recital! God bless you all, and God bless America.

We’re going to have to start calling Josh an automotive archaeologist. He and the family spent more time digging for buried treasures than the people who opened King Tut’s tomb. 🤣
Great to see so much joint effort in saving the Falcons from a horrible fate of rusting away and slowly being reclaimed by nature.
It was great (albeit brief) watching Wawa playing the piano. She certainly is talented at it. Just another feather in her cap. Glad to see Squeezy getting into more of the action and Ralphie is really becoming quite the all purpose mechanic.

Being a old Ford guy, I had my eyes on the 57 Ford just behind your first Falcon rescue - great frontend even for a wall hanger, Just a small tip - try to keep your fork level because when you pick up a car the car will slid down the forks and do door damage, just takes practice.

Yeah tip for next time put forks down and almost flat. Also it’s a good habit to always put forks or bucket down on ground when parked. We used those extensions daily on moving granite at shop. They come in handy for sure! You’re doing good with it, def makes life easier, just be safe. The bigger the equipment, the bigger damage it can cause.

Great video! Love it when the lizard warmed up and got loose!😂 Some pigs just seem to be really mean for no reason. I remember more than 40 years ago, we bought a nearly full grown pig from a nearby pig farmer destined for freezer camp. He warned us when he sold it to not go near it because it was so fiercely mean. When we got it home, we usually kept pigs in a pen outside but dad kept this one in the barn the entire time. I remember if we came within a few feet of the pen in the barn, that thing would grunt and bite at us. We had to be careful feeding it. That thing became some mean bacon and ham!😁😁

The winter isn't really safe in the southeastern United States. I stepped on a brumating timber rattler on a cold day in NC. Fortunately he went the wrong way trying to get out from under my foot...I leapt in the opposite direction. He still coiled up in the strike posture. Later on I asked a state herpetologist about the active season for these snakes. He said that he had seen them active as late as December 30th, and as early as January 1st. Until then I hadn't suspected that New Year's Eve might be a rattlesnake holiday. The copperheads are even worse... 😫

Ralphie occasionally now reminds me of Boomhauer from King of the Hill with his phrasology and extreme accent, cracks me up. It's great to see Squeezy be a larger part of the episodes, with her figuring out what she wants to learn how to do, and then doing those jobs that are way out of her comfort zone in the shop like Wawa and Ralphie both did. Wawa in that 20 seconds of her playing piano sounded amazing, very accomplished.
The Falcon with the fenders cut like that remind me of Hobby Stock classes from 1/4 and 3/8 mile bull ring saturday night racing from the late 80's and early 90's. And, y'all should look into buying a few engine crates for easy storage and moving them around

We sure appreciate you and your family our there rescuing these old beauties!!! If you find yourself looking to sell off any bits and bobs, we have a 1962, 2-door Falcon that needs the proper grill, it has a grill from a '63. Mine also needs the letter 'c' from the lettering on back. And we need a nice straight rear bumper, and maybe a tail light bezel. Ours was mangled in an accident, we were rear ended. Very sad. She's been straightened out. Anyhow, we would love to do some business with y'all if ya wanna save some shelf space for other stuff in the shop 😉😉😉
Keep up the great work and give Granny an extry vyyeenya 😂😂

I’ve been a tree guy most of my life. Recently bought a battery chainsaw and never looked back. Perfect for what you guys are doing here. Don’t get an 18 volt. Get a 36 or 54 volt and you’ll be amazed. Way easier than old school saws 😊

You should narrow up the width of the forks and just run them under from front when you have those narrow paths. Then get it from the side to load it on the trailer.

Great content! In 1968 I purchased a 1962 Ford Falcon for $400. It was black with four doors and a perfect body interior. The car was one that a tune up would really show remarkable performance after done. The only shortcoming was a mediocre heater. Very noticeable being from the Northeast. Happy 2024!
