Every single famous person has an other side. Honestly if you watched his videos from the start you knew what kind of person he was so I think the people freaking out about him are the ones who tuned in later in his career. The vast majority of the comment section here are immediately dismissing the allegations and problems with bald talked about in this. Nearly everyone's defending him and attacking anyone calling him out. Please go the baldandbaldrdossier subreddit mentioned, it'll take you 5 minutes to find out who this guy really this. As someones who's loved his videos it's really disappointing and pretty disturbing
Thing is, that reddit page is almost just as bad as the people vehemently defending him. A lot of rumor, speculation and smoke & mirrors mixed with truth. For example, they'll show a video of him in a harmless playful interaction with a lady and dress it as something insidious & nefarious. Or they'll bring up rumors about his friends and make them guilty by association. The way I see it, if his videos are about him picking up women in foreign lands or how to pick them up I'd consider it a huge issue that needs addressing. But as they are not, I don't.

The Reddit is only convincing if you don't bother to actually check on any of the accusations. I discovered it from a comment section in a bald and bankrupt video, was initially surprised and horrified, and then when verifying it, it turns out it is a load of bunk. There is a reason why the reddit heavily relies on avoiding context and avoiding citing primary material in their delusional accusations.

10:11 is clearly fake - the user joined in 2019, with 9 posts, from Belarus, only to speak perfect English - none of the people Bald met spoke perfect English, let alone write it. I am not English (in fact, I'm from a post-Soviet country) and I can easily recognize people from post-Soviet countries online just because of the way they express themselves. Every single famous person has an other side. Honestly if you watched his videos from the start you knew what kind of person he was so I think the people freaking out about him are the ones who tuned in later in his career. We didn't watch him for his persona or shady intentions, we watched because his content is unmatched.
What he does today is what journalists used to do decades ago, and it's what gained people's attention by seeing a part of the world and life that they knew almost nothing about.
That's 100% it. People like him because he goes to places other people don't go, and shows things other people don't show. His personality was never the driver of his success.

Just because there is a tonne of 'bad' people around, and I would even dare say that the percentage of those between famous people is higher... none of that means that all famous people are bad or have some evil side. Like what I am trying to say, don't let the "bad ones" make you believe everyone is bad, and then at the end feel like the publicly bad ones are 'just the same' and thus actually not that bad. I am tired and not expressing myself well I think, but there are genuinely good people everywhere. (Anyway, I do agree that I can appreciate his videos as well, but a big part of that is his charisma in interacting with locals, and it often did feel like he had... minimal moral standards, so as much as I am unsurprised, I am going to put in effort to not watch his videos anymore as that's the thing you and I can do to make whatever little difference)

He made a video about an ''abandoned'' town in Japan, and it was totally fake. The town had a big fire that burnt down one part of the town, so obviously that part was partially abandoned. The other side of the town is as busy and bustling as ever, and he didn't bother to show any of that. I know because my wife's family lives in that town and Ive been there many times.

I am more confused than before. The "crimes" he is accused of in this video includes: 1) being a PUA, 2) saying weird things about women in india, 3) calling a chick a chick, 4) saying some relatively uncontroversial truths and pandering to russian police, 5) potential sex tourist (with literally zero evidence outside of redditors), 6) thinking tate was unfairly treated and finally, the biggest of them all #7: not paying debts to a bank.
Pretty much all of these are nothing, or a moral judgement. But then again, when your accusers are so brainwashed that they will defend OF creators and in the next breath try and argue that someone is morally bankrupt for engaging the services of a prostitute, it does mean that you can fall into either of those contradictory states at will. Like Schroedinger's redditor - someones behaviour or actions are both immoral and perfectly acceptable, only choosing one to be when observed by a redditor who guesses which side of the political debate they are on.
