I bought a sample, months ago, of Mriga thanks to you guys- I love it. I'm thinking Homa would be my favorite. I always wear a fragrance for myself; even before bed sometimes I put on something just so I smell it throughout the night. Homa sounds perfect for me, but then I will sample all of them. On an off note: C.S. Lewis must have based Aslan on Arsalan in Narnia. As always Jo & Dan thanks for the excellent review!

We always try to be as honest as we can. When you love a perfumer's work sometimes in can be hard to be objective, but it also raises your expectations of their standards.

Sadly in my country, Argentina, I have no way to get samples of Prin ... but I am determined to buy - blindly - two perfumes. One I think will be Mandodari (based on descriptions by Morah) and the other would like it to be a prominent tobacco fragrance and oud, if there is one in his collection. Well congratulations again guys!!!!

I have Mriga, Mandarava, Arsalan, and Varuek from Prin. I just got a sample of Saringkarn, and wow. This is stunning and I think I'll have to get a full bottle of this too

I've recently been sampling prins offerings and I've almost tried them all at this point and there are so many gorgeous gems in there. Now the problem is which ones do I pick up first 😩

Found a few of the new ones a bit too funky - I’ve got mriga & Aran and then just bought a bottle of Saringkarn.
Just received the sample pack. Love following along with y’all, at home. First spray of Nocturnal Poetry immediately brought Dzing! to mind. That turpenic top note of civet. I love Dzing! And I love this but both of them are so very fleeting!

Yes, we started looking at some of the nominees this year. Unfortunately, it's just so damn expensive. If we lived in the US we could get all the samples from Luckyscent, but to have samples shipped from Luckyscent to the UK costs a fortune!
My dog has always been attracted to the more animalic scents. Perhaps the security dog was intrigued by Nocturnal Poetry? Glad they didn't waste the juice!

Saringkarn was the best out of the bunch IMO.. The rest are just either too repetitive or too dark/mysterious.. he seems to be pushing out too many fragrances lately, not sure that's a good thing
Saringkarn wasn't really to my taste, but I know it's popular. I've since found out that Homa isn't just similar to Aksum, it is a reworking, and a cheaper one at that.

Do you review Haxan in any of your videos? I’m not sure if it’s the same perfumer.
It is Prin, but we haven’t reviewed it.
Where would you buy Ma Nishtana and Mandarava from in UK....Bloom or elsewhere?
Sadly, that’s the only place you can get them in the UK, and Bloom overprice. It sounds crazy, but it might actually be cheaper to buy directly from Thailand!

Hi - this is a question I keep asking. On Prin's website he specifically says that some of these are synthetic- the exception is from the older releases - Aran seems to contain real civet- it is being discontinued
Like most great perfumes, they contain both natural and synthetic materials

Have you gone back to these at all? I find Nocturnal Poetry has a beastly longevity on me from a full bottle with a giant animalic leather drydown(hyrax?)... fantastic.
I used up my sample, and always felt the longevity was lacking
I chuckled when I saw the 'new' price of these as I was in Bloom the day they got these in and where charging £290/30ml. Clearly that was way OTT for what you get, as this range is defo NOT Prin's best work by a long shot. Just saying.....
What are they charging £290/30ml for ?! They’re pricing is crazy. I’ve often found it cheaper to have a fragrance shipped from Thailand or Cañada than buy it from Bloom.
4 hours longevity is no big deal. For a perfume to cost 190 GBP for 30 ml the longevity should for days. You guys should make a trip to Dubai and such fragrances you will find in every second shop. As I see your knowledge about oud is very minimal.
I don’t think price should equate to longevity. If you fill a perfume with cheep ACs it will last for days, if you fill it with expensive naturals it may not last long at all.

Any chance you guys will be doing the Prissana 2020? I don’t like them as much as the new Prin batch but there are a couple of wild stand outs. I want to see a Joe first sniff reaction to Chetyre.
I can see why it's called ARSalan as it smells like animals bumholes...... I really like it!
(I wouldn't recommend bridegrooms or anyone on a date to wear it though!)

@@WaftsfromTheLoft Yes I agree, it is a bit sexy. I was just picturing myself as a bride, standing at the altar and getting wafts of animal poo coming from the man I'm about to marry! Might not be the best choice for that particular scenario! (in general!).
