Huge fan of Belle Ame, that's the star for me. LDE is excellent. Des Cendres is definitely not my style usually, but even that one I can really appreciate.

I did a videos on all 3 of these Les Abstraits fragrances on my channel. The first two (La Douleur Exquise & Belle Âme) were off of a tiny decant (i ended up buying a bottle of LDE with my own money & passed on a bottle of Belle Âme for 31 Rue Cambon instead) and a full bottle of Des Cendres was sent to me by the brand. I have to address the previous comments about Eugene giving marching orders to his friends on what to say is just preposterous. In fact when he sent them to me he was most gracious & said this is a gift to you Ramsey, say whatever you want about them good, bad or indifferent. He also said i was under no obligation to even talk about them on the channel... so to the people claiming Eugene gave his friends notes of what to say is just not true & a bald face lie. I cant let that go without a response. Also if you have smelled these as a prefume lover you will love the construction time and effort that went into them even if you dont love the perfume as they are so well made and the materials used are so high quality you cant help but give a nod of approval to the effort. LDE is my favorite Rose patchouli perfume of all time, but thats just my personal taste. If you love perfume this line is definately worth your time just for the experience even if you dont find a perfume that speaks to you as I personally think Antoine Lie is a genius & operating at a level very few perfumers can match now a days. In short, this line is a perfume for perfume lovers not the masses. Just had to set the record straight there 🐏😉
Good comment ! Personally, I think these perfumes are defiantly for perfume lovers but I believe they could resonate with the masses if they were marketed that way. LDE …. So many people love it…everyone who comes to my house…electricians, plumbers, housekeeps, dinner guests, my kids friends…they all get a spritz and all positive responses.

I've had some interactions with Mr Rothschild because he bought a slumberhouse perfume from me. He seems like a very nice guy, funny though that he never mentioned he has a podcast about perfume. Could you tell me the name of it please?

This started very promising. This may be the review I could possibly trust. The internet presentation of these perfumes has been very disappointing overall. It seems obvious that people have been given clear instructions about what to say and what to compare them with. I understand how Mr. N's friends wanted to help with making his perfumes popular, however in the attempt of doing so, and possibly by following his instructions, they have destroyed a serious treatment of the works. Good perfume does not need such an endeavor. We will all see if in the real world these perfumes will stand the test of time and if they deserve any (rather doubtworthy) comparison with not only one, but two masterpieces by Jacques Guerlain.

We didn’t compare them to a Guerlain fragrances. We said there are moments in the mid where there are shades of purples and blues that reminds us of the colours of Après l’Ondée and l’heure bleue.
But Heinke, even Ramsey, who is close with Eugene, had enough balls to get Chanel's 31 RC rather than Belle Ăme, just because he liked it more. I trust him, but on the other hand, I spent enough time "with him" to understand his taste and I know not all if his loves will speak to me. Encense Mythique taught me a lesson... or two 🤣
I was sent samples and was not given even a suggestion of what to say, not one note from the note listing, nothing, and I expect it was the same for everyone that was lucky enough to be sent samples. Eugen makes it clear he doesn’t expect anything and is appreciative of negative feedback equally as he is the positive.

100ml is too much of anything generally though I did just get 100ml of first release Equipage (unused tester) and it's great
