We’re going to be bring you more videos but, in the mean time, we’ve had several requests to share our fragrance collections, so here you go.
This is the first of 2, a look at Dan’s collection.

This is staggering. I do feel my favourite moment is the curve ball of Grey Flannell being on the shelves, and in the upper section as well! Not even in the cupboards underneath.

When you mentioned Lochranza and Machrie, brought back memories of my first trip to the UK. I stayed in a B&B in Lochranza, caught in the rain, had to buy a sweater and a mac, miss those days. Great collection, love the cabinet.

Thank you for posting content for us during this difficult time. I love seeing the almost empty and half empty bottles. It shows that you love them and wear them. I'm the same in that I wear what I like and wear them over and over again. I've watched other similar "collection" vids by others and I'm always surprised by the sight of so many many bottles being nearly full... whats the point of owning them if you don't spray them?!

Dan, your collection is outstanding. But, I must confess, the whole way through I kept thinking, THE DUST, THE DUST!!! HOW DOES HE KEEP THEM DUST FREE?!

Good Day, i really enjoy this Video as well as this classy collection. Im already very excited to see the Part II. One Suggestion : you introduced Floris Santal and that you are through several Bottles already. So I assume, this is a staple for you. Could you maybe Video a Review of this? Would be very interesting to see your take on it.

I know most of them, so those fragances are very known in the fragance community, mainly form niche reviewers, like you.
Difficult to wear it all, sure but... which are your most wore fragances? (your top wearable fragances)

Amazing. What I find interesting is that, unlike many others with a large collection, most of your bottle are half empty or more. There were what I think were a few oils that had wax seals on the top. Was wondering if you can give me the name of those since I didn't quite get it in the video. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely wonderful collection!! What I love even more though , is that you're not scared/hesitant to actually use the perfumes you buy rather than just hoard thousands of bottles like certain collectors without as much as dent in most of them.

I arrange my perfumes based on the genre of olfactory profile rather than group them based on the manufacturers. This helps me choose easily when I already know my mood and climate.

I thought there was something wrong with me for not being a fan of Reflection Man. Thank you for making me feel better...ok, even. Stay safe and healthy. Covid’s out of control over here in the states, thanks to our STELLAR “p”resident and his sycophantic, feckless administration. Losing myself in Cologne reviews are the only thing getting me through/ making it easy to isolate, so thank you for continuing to post!

Have you ever done any decanting? Most of those are over half empty, is that just from your wears? Thanks for taking the time do that. Very interesting collection indeed. No Office for men tho. Shocking.
Yes, I do some decanting. I also often buy partials. I also wear two different fragrances a day, and top up through the day, so get through a lot!
good morning, dan. one of the last perfumes you point-out in your collection is decorated with gold loops on its face, and you refer to it as a "grapefruit and oud." as a lover/collector of most things oud, I would like to know a little more about this bottle's house and name. thank you so much for sharing. cheers!

A lovely review Dan. But I need your help please. During dry January 2019 I feel into a fragrances rabbit hole, after never really being into fragrances at all. Many reviews seamed to promise much much but most my purchases left me disappointed. Your suggestion of Timbuktu was a rare exception, love it, I also love Tauer desert marocain. Can you suggest where I could go next ? Mind you as a key worker if people can smell me their to close.

I’ve always disliked Le Male. Perhaps that’s why I don’t really enjoy Reflection, which people compare to Le Male

Dan, do you worry about how to store your fragrances over time? Maybe I'm worrying too much about this, but my collection is just getting started and I'm already realizing that if I buy a 100ml bottle, it'll likely take years to use completely. Now that we're heading into the warmer weather, should I take my winter fragrances off the shelf and store them in any particular way?
I used to keep them all in a box in a cupboard draw. But then I felt a bit sad about it. They're still behind a locked door, but at least I can look at them and appreciate them. I don't suggest putting them unboxed by a windowsill, but I think one can worry too much.
Have you sold the ones you didn't use?

Patchouli - Coromandel or Kashi. Oud - that's harder...Oud Maximus, Russian Oud or Juriah.
Hi. Decent collection with lots of low levels ... easy to assume you get through them but you sell slot on eBay don’t you! I guess that brings in the question of the free stuff you get ... how do you decide who gets the bottle you or Joe? Or do you get two of everything?
In my collection I have 9 free bottles. 1 x 100ml, 2 x 50ml and 6 x 30ml. We never ask for bottles and when offered we always say we’re happy with samples. We never, ever ask for anything. The one exception is when I bought 2 bottles from Areej Le Doré and I asked for 2 samples, which they didn’t give me. Of course, some people do still give us bottles, which we share 50/50.

What was that fragrance in the bottom cabinet that you described as a grapefruit oud? Sounds very interesting!

Hi. Do you decant your perfumes? There are a lot in your collection, and I think its almost impossible to use that amount of perfume, even if you spray 3 times per day

What's your typical spray routine?
Different for every fragrance, occasion. But...if I was going for average....one to each side of the neck, one to the beard, a couple to the back of the head, one to each wrist, and two to chest/clothes.
