I would suggest you hold off on the fancy trip to Disneyland until the child with fnd is exhibiting more good days and less reliance on assistive devices or desire to have days off school.

That sounds like you’re punishing them for having fnd

@@Anonymouscrochet no not punishing at all but certainly trying to wait until they are physically more able to enjoy the trip. I wouldn't want to further exacerbate any symptoms.
If one believes FND is a real neurological disorder causing many symptoms then it seems responsible to wait until your child is more well.
If you are of the belief that FND is a real and genuine mental/psychological illness causing the physical symptoms which used to be known as Conversion Disorder then it seems sensible to try and encourage a lessening of symptoms by suggesting a holiday when the child is well enough to cope with and enjoy a holiday to a busy, tiring place like Disneyland. The desire to go to Disneyland may then lessen the psychological dependency on symptoms of what is now known as FND. To offer positive rewards for wellness may well help a child to lessen days of illness. Focus on hugs, kisses and positive rewards during the moments when your child is not exhibiting symptoms of FND.
