Just take this work from Haendel for what it is....a masterpeice. Forget about the movie and all our distractions of our days.. Yes it is tragic in it's all sounds, that is the main reason probably whyit was choosen for that masterpeice of that Movie by Kubrick. The question is?????? was realy England at war when he composed that peice of music???? or was it pure genius!!!! Still when I listen to this work...it is very hard for me to listen to something else afterward. I will listen to it only when I feel sad or sorrows feel my mood.......but still what a masterpeice of work.
Who knows? But "pure genius" existed, no doubt. In my opinion, Stanley Kubrick was an extraordinary person by choosing this masterpiece for his movie. Regards. Amelia fom Argentina.
Thanks for your answer..but did he himself???My guess would be that he knew this masterpeice and he made the suggestion to have it as the main peice of music for is movie.
Could be, he knew such a masterpiece formerly, but I don't care if so. Once more, in connection with my feelings, both circumstances met wonderfully: Haendel's sarabande and Kubrick. Enough for me... Regards!

Oldies but goodies, not. Oldies, so goodies.
I am convinced that God selected a group of extraordinary souls to create greatness. Händel is one of those ordained genius’

Magnifico .....
absolutely wonderful piece
every time i hear todays' music, i tell myself: nice to hear, someone has had this piece written before in 16th century or so ;)
Just take this work from Haendel for what it is....a masterpeice.
Regards!
yes of course
This is GENIUS!!!
no me canso de escuchar sarabande es lo mejor de lo mejor

Very hard to believe that sarabandes were once thought so exciting that they were banned by Phillip II.
