Just take this work from Haendel for what it is....a masterpeice. Forget about the movie and all our distractions of our days.. Yes it is tragic in it's all sounds, that is the main reason probably whyit was choosen for that masterpeice of that Movie by Kubrick. The question is?????? was realy England at war when he composed that peice of music???? or was it pure genius!!!! Still when I listen to this work...it is very hard for me to listen to something else afterward. If you listen to egmont overture it has this sarabande theme in it . I was like huh that sounds familiar.
