If you do your research about Bielsa lad, you will notice that he himself chooses to take on the jobs he has taken rather than take over a team of established players, Biesla looks to improve players and he likes a challenge.... The challenge is what motivates him, you need to look at his teams he has managed and see what he achieved and you will realise they are not average stats..... The man is a genius who eats, sleeps and breaths football and has stuck with his policies ...

@@Malos_ Just compare the players that Liverpool or City have got to the Leeds players. These technical players are nearly pressing resistent and can outplay the press with one good pass. Such a high-pressing tactic also requires good defenders you can rely on. But the Leeds defenders are obviously not the best ones. It will be really risky to play that agressively in the Premier League but it might work.
Erik Hoffmann obviously you don’t do it against the best teams in the league but Leeds ain’t here to win anything. They’re here to stay up and in my opinion they can batter bottom half teams with tactic securing survival

I like the concept of the press and it’s going to work against many teams in the premier no doubt. Issue is against a Liverpool or a City one pass will absolutely ruin that press and they may very well concede from it. Only time will tell though.

No, that was Arrigo Sacchi. Even Bielsa has acknowledged that. Sacchi was of course not the first one to implement it, it has been around since the beginning of football, but he was the first one to succeed in modern football using that tactic.
