    Another amazing doll, way to go!!
    Please don't take this the wrong way, but the boots seemed to be somewhat complicated. And making boots can be very complicated, I know from experience! But, Walkercoulors, has brilliant boot making tutorials. They certainly helped me, just a thought.
    The detachable part of the boots are called "spats", at least in our universe! They were commonly worn for formal occasions up until the early to mid 20th century, (and before).
    My grandfather wore a pair at his wedding!
    Sorry off track.......They are still worn in the military and fasten with buttons

      Thank you!!!
      I love Walkercolours' channel, you're right that she has great tutorials! I'd really like to try out some of her methods for future shoes. I don't think it would be much less complicated, though...? One thing I would change which I just forgot to do while sculpting them would be to include the front part of the sole (to go under the ball of the foot) in the same piece as the heel wedge, which would eliminate that extra step. But other than that, it wasn't too complicated a method, really!
      I wasn't sure whether to call them spats, simply because in the actual character design, they look like a part of the actual boot, rather than a detachable cover-I only wanted them to be detachable for the sake of having the whole outfit removable, but since this is a specific character doll, I decided that wasn't too much of an issue~
      Anyway, thank you for such an interesting comment! 😊💗

      You're sooo sweet. Rereading my comment I seem like SUCH a know it all! And of course you watch Walkercolours videos. I think anyone who does doll make makeovers is eager for information on the process.
      I honestly can't underestimate how talented I think you are. Your dolls are wonderful, and you choose such original themes.

      Oh no, you didn't at all! I really appreciate your suggestions! Although honestly, Walkercolours seems to be quite an underrated channel still, so I'm sure there are plenty of doll people who don't watch her videos yet! But yes, personally... I watched everything I could find before I even ordered any supplies to begin customising, haha. 😅 Thank you again, you're so kind 😭💗

      I would like to apologise for that. I wasn't meaning you, or your tutorial. I am sorry. it was a commercial for a movie named. Wish it. It was sounding like a rerun story. Your doll reproductions are fantastic. Again.. I do apologise for sending the comment to the wrong place. Keep up your great work on the dolls.

      Oh, I see, that makes sense! Don't worry at all, I was just a little confused 😅 Thank you very much, and I hope you enjoyed the video~!

    • @billkinder5901
      @billkinder5901 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I did enjoy your video. Infact I liked each of the five videos of yours that I watched one after the other. What you did with Wonder Woman is a much better version of the Lady hero. Than the original version fresh out of the package. You make it look, and seem so easy to completely convert a doll over to something greater. and the armor, shield and sword was quite a catchy addition. and the corps bride was a very nice change. Great Job.

    digging the hilt, love that idea, but i was really hoping for something more comprehensive for the blade than "another straw" im making an ahsoka myself and i really dont want her lightsaber to be open or have a flat blade

    • @tamakyuart
      @tamakyuart  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, it was the best thing I found. The choice is pretty limited by the small scale and also the weight that the arms can bear... The only other thing I thought of was a glowstick, but they're typically too long. If you found a mini one that might be perfect. Good luck with your Ahsoka!

    • @heylittletwelvetoes8650
      @heylittletwelvetoes8650 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      tamakyu thanks! I'm definitely gonna do some more brainstorming. I've had wooden dowels suggest to me, but they're opaque even with shimmer paint and i'd like to preserve the opacity, you know? I did see some glittery stir sticks for cocktails at party city? 🤔🤔 i'll be sure to let you know whatever I come up with

    • @tamakyuart
      @tamakyuart  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I'd rather have it transparent, even if it meant the end was open! Obviously I edited the photo at the end, but you actually can position the light in such a way as to make it "glow" for a photo, so it's not so bad. Maybe you can buy thin acrylic rods or something? But that might be too heavy, I'm not sure. I'd be really interested to know if you do find something good!

    • @heylittletwelvetoes8650
      @heylittletwelvetoes8650 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i do have a place that i bought some acrylic sheets from, maybe i could trim that down, sand and gloss it. or for the straw thing, trim the ends and seal them? that way its more cohesive?

    • @tamakyuart
      @tamakyuart  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That could work, I suppose! Although it sounds like a huge amount of work 😅 Maybe you could glue half a bead or a clear gem or something onto the end of the straw, if you'd like it rounded a bit, too!
