This is probably my favorite doll wig at the moment! Definitely enjoyed making this one and I'm thinking of experimenting with other/more styles! Suggestions? Tweet me pics @mozekyto!😉
Mozekyto I've loved it too!!! Maybe you could do a hair with different types of curl, just like Princess Merida, from Pixar movie Brave! Or a hair just like Mother Gothel, from Disney movie Tangled!!!
Wow! You come up with such great techniques. You always make it look easy! I can't believe how flat against the head you got the wig cap to stay. Beautiful work as always. Also, loved the little stop-motion wefts-appearing part :D
I second this, please! I'm trying to figure out how to make a shaved mohawk with a wig since re-rooting would expose all the holes in the head and I don't want that. But I also want to keep the wig cap inconspicuous - such a challenge!
I think the toughest part would be hiding the glue on the wefts. Mozekyto always does her very last weft on the parts in the opposite direction in order to flip the hair over and hide this. If the hair style is a mohawk I'm not sure how this trick would work.
Jenny T That's a great point too, I hadn't even thought of that! Maybe gluing loose strands of hair along the edges to conceal the glue on the part. Not sure how well that would turn out though
The way I'm picturing it, you glue 3-5 wefts straight up. Then, on the sides, you glue them as close as you can to the other wefts but this time down. Let dry completely, then comb upward, using some glue as gel to keep in place. (For the shaved parts, do that before with the technique shown here) Just a thought.
WOW! I'm blown away by how seamless it looks! I've been looking into making short and choppy hair wigs for a couple of dolls, so I'm definitely going to take some notes on how you made this! :O
So glad you made this! I was going to attempt a mo-hawk style and was trying to figure out how to go about it. Glad you uploaded this before I made a darn fool of myself and ended up ruining/wasting a wig cap and wefts. Thanks again!
Such a great wig tutorial! Normally when I make a doll with this type of hair cut, I just use my rooting tool and stab in a bunch of yarn fluff onto the shaved parts of the head XD
Very cool! Question, will yarn wefts still look good for super long hair? Like, "goddess" or floor length style hair or something, I just can't tell if they'll still react like hair at that length (or even be able to be that length). Would love to see a tutorial for that if you were to try :3
Victoria Vidaud i think i remember reading a comment about how it was really difficult to comb yarn wefts to be extremely long (floor length and stuff) since after a while the yarn starts separating/ripping apart ): maybe mozekyto'll have a video or faq up soon about it? also maybe just using really long pieces of yarn to start out with will help i think, sorry if this doesn't help ;;
You brush it out, then carefully take it out of its knot, then brush out the middle, and clip the top! Then proceed as normal. Hope this helped, I know it’s late 🙂
Victoria Vidaud be sure to make the yarn double the length that you’re actually going for. Brushing reduces the yarn to half of what the original length was
Hextian published a video not long ago, you take your regular length and glue them onto a yarn string, and then glue that to your wig cap, I think. This is really late but I hope it might help
This is one of the most amazing doll wigs I've ever seen! And it's all yarn! That's so amazing! Thank you for creating and sharing a way for those of us too cheap to buy actual doll hair to accessorize
Great tutorial! It actually gave me the idea on how to save a second-hand Venus McFlytrap doll's hair. The shaved part was mostly missing, so I just combed out the rest of her hair, chopped up the hairs that came out and used your technique to glue that to the head. It looks great!
Using a tooth brush for yarn hair?...GENIUS! Thank you for yet ANOTHER amazing and helpful vid. New to the hobby and so grateful to have found your channel.
this is dumb to say, but i have an undercut like this, and it makes me so happy to see someone that looks like me represented in someone else's art. it looks really beautiful!!!
I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS POP UP !! I wish I could do an undercut IRL but i always feel like it wouldn't look good on me lol... at least I now know how to make one for a doll!
Wow this is amazing! I've been watching a ton of these videos because I'm just starting out and figured that making my own wigs and clothing would be cheaper than just buying them. As I was watching this video, I couldn't help but get Lightning from Final Fantasy 13 vibes! Will definitely be making a wig of her hair using this tutorial!
I think I would have shaped the side burns a little differently, but HOLY CRAP IS SHE GORGEOUS!!! I collect MH, and Moxie Teenz and I have been watching your wig videos with love. I never even thought of making a wig for my Moxie Teenz, and it would be so cool to have some different colored hair for them.
This is just what I needed!! I was trying the shaved side hairstyle on my doll wig, but I got confused with mapping out where to glue the hair wefts. thanks :)
I've thought of this but never tried it for an under/side cut; using tulle fabric, putting the hair through the small openings, gluing from underneath then cutting it short from the top so it looks more realistic. This might be a total fail but it's something I've been wanting to try.
You are truly very talented I LOVE, LOVE looking at all your beautiful creations. I just wish my wefts were as long and shiny as yours look. Oh how about like a princess style, with the bun and all those curls they usually have. You are so creative :')
Very cool.... Would still love to see a video on how you draft the lines for different styles, would be incredibly useful, you seem to do it so easily!
hii there, first of all thanks for share all of your knowledge with us in this cool professional way, i have a questión, how u fix the final wif to the MH head? i hope u can help me thanks
Hey hello! I noticed that it was very difficult to keep length on acrylic wool once brushed. I work with BJDs 35 to 45 cm high. Do you have a trick to preserve maximum length on brushed wool wefts? Thank you very much!
This is probably my favorite doll wig at the moment! Definitely enjoyed making this one and I'm thinking of experimenting with other/more styles! Suggestions? Tweet me pics @mozekyto!😉
You should do an afro!
maybe try some wedding hairstyles... or a 1920s style bob. something vintagey!
Mozekyto I've loved it too!!! Maybe you could do a hair with different types of curl, just like Princess Merida, from Pixar movie Brave! Or a hair just like Mother Gothel, from Disney movie Tangled!!!
Mozekyto do a bun!
Mozekyto when you reach 1 million sub can make a video about all of your collection of doll wigs
Wow! You come up with such great techniques. You always make it look easy! I can't believe how flat against the head you got the wig cap to stay. Beautiful work as always.
Also, loved the little stop-motion wefts-appearing part :D
I waiting for your vaporeon video >:3
Dollightful you two are my favourites!
Dolli! omg Love U
Dollightful ily!!

AHH Hexitan!!!!
HeXtian hi u are awesome
HeXtian I love your your videos along with dollightfull and mozcytoe
Ooh I was one of the people who requested this! It looks so pretty! If you wanna keep experimenting with "shaved" wigs, maybe try a mohawk wig?
I second this, please! I'm trying to figure out how to make a shaved mohawk with a wig since re-rooting would expose all the holes in the head and I don't want that. But I also want to keep the wig cap inconspicuous - such a challenge!

Oooh, mohawk! Sounds like a challenge.
WOW! I'm blown away by how seamless it looks! I've been looking into making short and choppy hair wigs for a couple of dolls, so I'm definitely going to take some notes on how you made this! :O
OMG amazing!!! I loved watching the way you styled it, she is perfect! And you've got the cutest wig mapping i've seen! Keep going! ^-^
can you do a ombré Yarn Wefts tutorial?
Mystxcal Bxtch YES!
Mystxcal Bxtch just buy acrylic ombre yarn
Mystxcal Bxtch use chalk try is as a powder it worked for me
dye the yarn or buy already ombred yarn
So glad you made this! I was going to attempt a mo-hawk style and was trying to figure out how to go about it. Glad you uploaded this before I made a darn fool of myself and ended up ruining/wasting a wig cap and wefts. Thanks again!
Such a great wig tutorial! Normally when I make a doll with this type of hair cut, I just use my rooting tool and stab in a bunch of yarn fluff onto the shaved parts of the head XD
LividLivie same 😆
Can you do a short curly wig tutorial? Or more repaints?
Very cool! Question, will yarn wefts still look good for super long hair? Like, "goddess" or floor length style hair or something, I just can't tell if they'll still react like hair at that length (or even be able to be that length). Would love to see a tutorial for that if you were to try :3

They work the same and are super soft!
Hextian published a video not long ago, you take your regular length and glue them onto a yarn string, and then glue that to your wig cap, I think. This is really late but I hope it might help

This video is a godsend!! I was so worried I wouldn't be able to make a wig with an undercut but it's so easy!!!
Oh my god this tutorial is not only awesome, but I LOVE this doll!!! The face is gorgeous and the hair is so well done!!
I love that you use an eyebrow razor as a doll-sized razor comb!! So smart!
Barber: what hairstyle would you like?
Me: *shows this*
Barber: ...
No
Barber: ok *starts putting glue on head*
Great tutorial! It actually gave me the idea on how to save a second-hand Venus McFlytrap doll's hair. The shaved part was mostly missing, so I just combed out the rest of her hair, chopped up the hairs that came out and used your technique to glue that to the head. It looks great!

as someone who is planing to get an under cut, i can't tell you how much this will help me!
Literally my hair. Not even kidding; color is the same, undercut and sidecut. Love thisssss
I love the way you map out where you’ll put the wefts before you start glueing!
I love using yarn hair for stop motion puppets as it looks very soft, (it is) but it can still hold a position.
this is dumb to say, but i have an undercut like this, and it makes me so happy to see someone that looks like me represented in someone else's art. it looks really beautiful!!!
your layering techniques are flawless
I love love love the choices you made with the cut and color!
I love the fact if you do the buzzed look to both sides of the wig cap, you could end up with a fringe for the doll too!
Thank the person who made polish subtitles. I'm happy even tho I'm studying English philology and don't need subtitles anymore.
Ahh!! That dolls face is gorgeous, I'm in love
so many doll channels,AHHH
*HEAVEN*
Omg this wig is too beautiful to handle 😻😻
Your tutorials give me life.
Your and your friend Dollightful's videos are really inspiring me to get into doll customization.
I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS POP UP !! I wish I could do an undercut IRL but i always feel like it wouldn't look good on me lol... at least I now know how to make one for a doll!
I've always wondered how you would do a wig like this!
I've been looking like a video like this for a while!! Now I can make my doll self!
the is my favorite thing ever!! it's so beautiful!! good job 😄
the makeup it's adorable! I love the idea of the wig
That doll has a better haircut that I do... Beautiful and interesting technique too!
Omg there are hearts next to the text that says "part". So cuuute >3< And the wig looks amazing ^^
Elin Blomkvist you noticed too?
I NEEDED THIS SO BADLY MY HAIR IS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE THIS also can you use flocking powder or no
Candy Phone you can use flocking powder
Flocking is what they use on factory heads so, yes, it would work well :)
Jasmine Y that's what i thought, thank you
Candy Phone yes u could use flocking powder, probs easier as well
All the wigs are stunning.
I want to make a doll of myself, and this video is perfect! And I love reusing the yarn fluff!
This was actually really helpful. And btw I love those hearts next to that word part.
OMG my most fave doll that you've ever made cx
Wow! So beautifully. Thank you so much for explaining so well how to do it.
Loving the variety of different wig styles!!! Great work senpai!!
I love your technique! I'm interested in the outfit. The cardigan caught my eye.💕
My heart is racing, I'm so inspired!! I'm so excited to make this wig!!!
OMG, love her hair, spunky yet still cute~!
Omg I really love this! The color and the style is just sooo perfect!
This is just what I needed!! I was trying the shaved side hairstyle on my doll wig, but I got confused with mapping out where to glue the hair wefts. thanks :)
omg , its that easy? wow i got all of these recepies in home , thanks!
One of the best wigs I've ever seen, gonna try out this technique for my Overwatch Sombra Doll Repaint :3
You are incredibly talented! This wig is wonderful!
This is one of the best tutorial. Great job and thank you for sharing
can u do like a short hair/Bob hair cut
chelsey horta she made a pixie cut hairstyle a couple videos ago
Potato Crafts I know that but like a bob haircut type
Potato Crafts pixie cut and Bob are completely different
I guess the process would be the same from her pixie cut video. The only difference would be how short you cut the wefts.
omg the face goes so well with the dolls hair
I've thought of this but never tried it for an under/side cut; using tulle fabric, putting the hair through the small openings, gluing from underneath then cutting it short from the top so it looks more realistic. This might be a total fail but it's something I've been wanting to try.
What a beautiful wig! I love the color you used, it fits really well with the hair style. :)
Omg the doll looks so cute and pretty! Love your channel!! ☆
What is the material that you have put to the doll head first??
Can you do a tutorial about how to make a veryyyy long hair?
yes pleasse
It's the same way on the short hair or "parted" wig just longer wefts and more wefts closer to the bottom of the wig cap.
Do you know to make a wig with beach waves? You're amazing at these. Every single wig is perfect and I always look forward to your videos
Can you do another repaint? :D
I love your work. I think that if you use very short hair in the "fluffy" parts you can get a very good result too :3
Oh wow such a gorgeous hair style it turned out so pretty! 😍
You are truly very talented I LOVE, LOVE looking at all your beautiful creations. I just wish my wefts were as long and shiny as yours look. Oh how about like a princess style, with the bun and all those curls they usually have. You are so creative :')
It is definetly my favorite of them all
Dang, I wish I could give this more thumbs ups! Amazing....
I love these videos because I don’t have a reroot tool so this helps a lot!!! Thank you
The doll at the end was gorgeous.
i know this is an old video, but it's still amazing
is there a way to craft this with a soft wig cap?
I love this style so much! Looking forward to try it out - thank you!
I really don’t know how you do such a good job especially because you’re using yarn beautiful wig and I know I can never do anything that good
omg I will definitely use these doll hair wigs, but different styles of course, in the future!
Thank you for the tutorial!! Even tho I am going to reroot the weft part of the hair, I still am going to use the undercut trick! Thank you!! ❤️
Very cool.... Would still love to see a video on how you draft the lines for different styles, would be incredibly useful, you seem to do it so easily!
oh wow, she's stunning !
No joke I have the same hair cut and I wanted to make a doll of my self but wasn't sure how so....THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!💕
This is so beautiful 😍 I love everything about this look! Your super talented!❤️❤️😘
This was AMAZING!! But yet not exactly an undercut it was a sideshave, but it still works either way!!! it's beautiful! !!!!!!!!!
Ayeee boo you did that!!!! she looks badass. 😍😍😍😍😎
Soooooooo pretttty I love your face repaints and the hair is so cute
What kind of cloth did you use?? I couldnt hear what you said in the video. You do amazing work and enjoy watching your videos. Many thanks
This looks amazing! I'd totally go for wearing that style myself if I thought my hair would cooperate.
hii there, first of all thanks for share all of your knowledge with us in this cool professional way, i have a questión, how u fix the final wif to the MH head? i hope u can help me
thanks
So cute! I wonder how this doll would look with re-painted eyes?
Hey hello! I noticed that it was very difficult to keep length on acrylic wool once brushed. I work with BJDs 35 to 45 cm high. Do you have a trick to preserve maximum length on brushed wool wefts? Thank you very much!
I love all these wigs tutorials, thanks for sharing them! could you share us some tutorials to make those beautiful clothes in your dolls please? :)
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Mozey! Are you going to create doll face ups? Your dolls really look exquisite~!
Cuute! Mozey! hahaha! Yes soon! :D And thank you!
Can you an in depth video on making the wig cap? Like the cloth type, cloth size, cling wrap reccomendations measurements, and hair lines?
i love this look thank u so much for doing this video very helpful and easy to follow😁i need to practice getting my wig caps to lay better
THIS IS SO CUTE!! Oh my goodness you're very talented :> I very much enjoy your work
Love it... but i really want to know how you did frankie's face, its absolutely beautiful
Can you make a video showing how you store your wigs?
Would this work directly on the dolls head? and work just as well?
I have a question, what cloth did you use for the wig cap?
