Yeah. Deeply, deeply frustrating to hang out with suburbanite friends with guns and watch their terrible habits, having grown up in the backwoods and taking hunter safety courses as a kid, along with drilling from my mom on the topic. The gun is always loaded. The gun is always loaded. Even if you know for a fact the gun is not loaded, the gun is always loaded. This isn't because I think you're stupid and didn't check, this is because you're building habits around how you hold the gun, how you interact with it. Habits you build while you know the gun isn't loaded can seep into your general behavior. No, Ted, I don't care if you just checked the chamber, I do not want you sweeping me. Please do not.
I grew up hunting squirrels and deer with my dad, gun safety is common sense to me. load gun only after entering gate to the hunting land, fully unload before exiting. safety on at all times until you're ready to shoot, but safety can also (rarely) not properly work. you can drop your gun with the safety on and there is still a chance (granted its not common, but still possible) for the gun to fire. above all else, NEVER let the barrel of your gun drift anywhere near another person in your hunting party, best to keep it pointed more toward the ground. It never matters if someone says the gun is unloaded, you check it, check again, and check one last time and leave the chamber open before putting it away. and for the love of everything good in this world, keep your damn ammo locked up away from the gun! you never know who will visit you at home. if your ammo or gun is out in the open and not locked up, then anyone can get hurt by it. I hate the fact that so many people don't take the precautions, and eventually that gets someone hurt.

Just a healthy reminder of firearm safety below: Years ago, I was with an ex of mine who's father had a rifle under his bed. She showed me this rifle and jokingly aimed it at me. I pushed it away from my face and took it from her. As I was putting it back under his bed (it had no gun case). The trigger snagged on something and the gun went off. Like most things in life, too much of a good thing is just as bad as too little. They don't care about you, they just want to "feel" with you.

So about the whole half day journey thing ~6:30 this is THE definitive stereotype about Europeans, and Brits especially, where some haven't seen their close blood family in LITERAL YEARS because they live... 45 minutes away. They can live in Central London and have never been to Paris (back when it wasn't a complete sh*thole and was actually worth going to) because its too far... at 228 miles/366 km away (which takes them 5.5 hours to travel lol). And yet they have the unmitigated gall to call us untraveled for "only" having traveled the US which is more than 10x that distance from west to east IN A STRAIGHT LINE.
London to Paris is only 228 miles? Holy cow, I drive nearly that far just to visit my mom multiple times a year! I wonder how far across euroland I would have gotten on my last big road trip (1260 miles one way, done in less than 22 hours)
I tried to watch this a couple weeks ago and that first scene was so stupid I rage quit. Glad you covered it for me so I can get smarter without first getting dumber. Thanks buddy!
According to IMDB, this is now called "Silent Place" FFS. First of all. Things like everyone in a town vanishing, gets noticed here in the UK We are a small island with 60+ million people on it with a good communications network. Buses would show up with no one there. Parcel deliveries, phone calls, emails, where are the local police doing their rounds? Someone would raise the alarm. Yep, phone the police, our coverage is better. Second, why does everyone have strange 'American' accents. That's not how we speak here. If it's set in the UK, handguns like that are illegal. The law here is sort of complicated but if you can demonstrate a need for a firearm and follow certain conditions, you can get one. If they wanted to show someone in the UK with a gun, why not a shotgun or a rifle? It's much more common. Heck, if you can show a need for it, you can get a cannon. (I know someone who owns a tank with a live gun.) If they wanted her to have something 'hand gun like'. Give her a pistol crossbow, crossbows are legal without a licence. If they wanted her to be armed, in the house, she would more likely have a kitchen knife or some long sharp implement. Seriously a lot of film makers in the UK have to wake the freak up. You know a film set in the UK is sh*t when the makers can't even be bothered to make it as if it was set in the UK. Yes, half a day's driving in the UK can suck. We do not have massive USA style roads. Our roads are smaller, narrower and more windy. EDIT: Those 'soldiers' are wearing DPM, which has not been used in many years. It would have been cheaper to buy modern MTP army surplus.
37:12 “Why add the Grey DNA” Well, i’d slap alien DNA into things just as a backup template. “Oh the old DNA became unusable… oh hey remember these things we slapped it into like a hooker slapping on a lap? Lets see if that still is viable after a few generations.”
Personaly i would use alien DNA as the base and then add wasp (those laying eggs on paralysed spiders), spider and anglerfish DNA, to make it a horrying aberation. Why have humans fear aliens? Have them fear earth so much it becomes their definition of Australia!

They don't care about you, they just want to "feel" with you.
Omg, yes. I can't watch/read anything or talk about anything emotional without ugly crying. Im 22 and am only just now learning how to tell my real emotions apart from everything else.
Watching movies must be extra intense.
I started watching this movie before I saw the notification. I'll get back to this...
(edit) maybe it's his mannerisms, but every time the dad speaks it feels like he's actively trying to cover up a murder he committed.
Been watching Roanoke for a few years now and it’s been fascinating to watch as I begin to understand more and more of what he is saying as my courses and now degree progresses. Love the work you do, keep it up!!
If you wanna continue with the lanky killers with sound-based perception, I recommend the Future Predators from the British sci-fi series, Primeval (not to be confused with the giant crocodile movie of the same name)
Call them Horrats after horror bats.
Primeval was good until they went like all British shows do and descended into time travel.
@@kevinkerwin4118 what do you mean 'Descended into time travel'?
It was a show about time travel, that's like saying 'Star Trek was good until they went into space'
The memes in this, love it. I can only assume in the far future, future people will only communicate with memes that mean whole sentences and phrases like Egyptian hieroglyphs and eastern characters.
I walked away to make lunch and returned to Roanoke referring to the monster as "Ballsack"...several times 😂😂😂
This is peak internet
You had a lot of fun with this video. It was a joy to watch
I have yet to find another content creator that consistently makes me chuckle or bust out laughing within the first 10 seconds. Immediate thumbs up within the first 10 seconds. Roanoke is Top G 😂 😂😂😂
One thing I absolutely love, is the continuous Scooby Doo music playing in the back ground. Also, love everything else about the channel, the breakdown, review, the science & humor
I’m pretty sure that music is More Gun, from Meet The Engineer
Man
If roanoke made a vlog collab with brandon herrera or vice versa
That'd literally be one of the coolest day in history
I wanna see them do a two video colab. Brandon's channel would handle them shooting the guns from and larping the movie they cover on Roanoke's channel.
13:30 TIL this ISN'T supposed to be a film review channel that occasionally touches on biological stuff 😂
I love the Winchester references in the past few RoanokeMovies videos. 😋
2:40 DON'T call me out like that, please.
Roanoke Is my favorite science/movie summary/car nerd/comedy channel. Literally all my favorite things all wrapped up in one
You should do brotherhood of the wolf. It’s got a cool creature design
Listening to Roanoke will cleaning my place. Speeds things up. Joy abound!

“Why add the Grey DNA”
Well, i’d slap alien DNA into things just as a backup template.
This is a chill movie. Thanks for the chill commentary and science breakdown. I didnt think you were chill like that
Just hearing you explain how neurotoxins work is honestly amazing, whoever said you only occasionally do biological facts is on some good stuff
27:09 how you gone tell me I got to stay? how dare you lol
Gene editing is too hard, lets make human-alien hybrids the way god intended.
You somehow always upload long videos when I’m stuck at the airport. Been watching for nearly ten years since ~2016, never been disappointed!
is this what they call a comment section
No
Wake Up.
This is the lost and found.
No, this is a Wendy’s.
Wake up we need you
This is the only Roanoke gaming channel i acknowledge😤
Tales ain't bad, but I find myself more than not moving on before the halfway mark.
As for games, sorry to say, that was a sub and unsub all before the video was over.
Now with gamimg, I'll watch a video twice or thrice. Which reminds me, I haven't watch the one before last.
Please do a video breaking down the morphology of the vengeful female ape man in the found footage film, Exists. It's one of my favorite found footage and bigfoot film. Please.
"it's late at night, so you know what that means: it's laundry time apparently" most relateable part of this movie as someone who can never get laundry started before 4am because my adhd is a nightmare lmao
Lord Roanoke has blessed us with a new video. Praise the Emperor!
Hail 🙋
all my years of studying Batman has taught me how to overcome neurotoxins through the power of my mind SCIENCE
First, I will most likely never watch most of these movies, so the critique is great. Second, you really can't talk about the biological factors without completely shredding the movies from which they come. 10/10 work, my dudes!
Edit: as someone with a neurological disability (MS), I appreciate your breakdown of how neurons all work.
Love watching Roanoke giving a some what movie review for movies I'd never watch but love the science and morphology behind the things in the movie and I get all the nerdy stuff I love keep up this format I love it!
Let me rephrase it's not a review it's a recap but deep dives into the science behind everything
Did you hear about the ghoul's new daytime talk show?
It's called Phantom of the Oprah
4:10
revolver ammo (.45 long colt) and a semiautomatic pistol chambered in .45ACP. I see where the props department went wrong, but we all know the "props department" is the producer's stoner nephew
At least this thing will succumb to a force multiplier!
The scrunched up spooderman face is amazing
3:12 i See roanoke knows exactly zilch about laundry drying
Prolly cuz he lives in the US where we dry our clothes in a dryer.
@@nikik5567clothes can dry any other way?
Jk, my daughter has quite a few dresses that she loves that are destroyed by clothes dryers and I have to hang :P
The eggs in the arms are REALLY messing with my trypophobia...😱
Hell my daily commute to work used to be 2 hours one way. As a kid i would walk from harvest alabama to toney nearly every day to go see my friends.
Thank you for clarification on basic fire arm etiquette and safety, certain people need to hear this more
4:20 "oh good a .44, decent for a human sized monster. Wait, that looks like they are implying those go into what looks like a compact 9mm... well that sucks. Get the meat fork and cleaver out instead"
I am very much curious WHY youtube has a problem with "child" as a word in videos
If you actually watch the movie (it's on TH-cam for free, just finished it).
She legitimately tries to load the individual rounds into the magwell as if she was loading a fed tube shotgun.
Hilarious
“a little bit of this, a little bit of that” ahh creature
Another classic from Weird Films with Roanoke. What a film review channel this is.
I like that the chill guy has become popular pretty much everywhere.
"I don't have a goal" broseph, the goal is swole.
Great vid Roanoke! The gray theory is interesting. The lack of eyes brings to mind extremophiles in underground/underwater and the promotional material with three fingers/general profile reminds me of a chameleon. Could be a blend of several things. Perhaps blended with the gray as some form of countermeasure to them. Like some military geneticist'/s' wishful thinking soup/stew for the perfect super soldier. As far as reach goes maybe the big dogs realized you're free advertising lol.
I'm always here for your scientific antics but the title alone had me hooked to watch this
Roanoke I been a long time fan and I just wanted to tell you your videos are awesome keep killing it, I love weird obscure monster movies! Never change!
POV when someone find the dead animal on the side of the road "It cannot go unpoked"
This is probably the funniest episode you've done. Bravo!
Roanoke give the 4 rules of fire arm safety and omfg that's a 1911 that fires .45acp and those rounds look like .500 s&w rounds 😂
I love watching you just for the car guy tizum fits. I do the exact same thing when movies get cars wrong.
6:00 "bro why you spend so much time doing indepth studies to scientifically describe to the best of your abilities these supernatural creatures if you hate them bro" 😂😂
This channel is a review channel on movies, tv shows and videos games with monsters, aliens and desieses. You coment on medical things and review the tv, movies and videos games themselves with how the story is written. Keep up the Awesome work Roanoke!😊
