So glad i found this channel just a couple of days ago. They all sound so much like my life within this church/ organization! Thank you for doing this! 🙏🙏
I loved this interview! Scot articulates the false doctrines of the UPCI concerning salvation in such a helpful way- in the light of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This was so needed for me to hear God bless can’t wait to see more thank you
Good interview. Agree 100%. There are many evidences of the Holy Spirit, not just tongues. So many have tongues but have no fruits of the Spirit.

I really related to Scot in this video. It took me several years to get out and went from that to another cult for a short time until by Gods grace I was able to get back to orthodox christian beliefs. I now attend a “trinitarian” Church of God. I was 4th generation “Apostolic” and was raised in a UPCI church. I have found your videos very interesting in comparison to my experiences.
Deanna Jo, My wife and I recently left the upci/apostolic movement after 35+ years. It has been quite a journey for us we have lost longtime friends and family because of this decision. For us there were just way to many inconsistencies with the doctrine compared to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When we left people were shocked that we would give up our positions because we had quote "made it." So thankful for your channel and videos as they are helping to further affirm that we made the right decision for our family,we have two teenage girls. And we are growing every day in our relationship with Him. Blessings to you and upon you, for your strong stance for truth
One of the best interviews yet. Great job Deanna Jo. You're amazing as a host. :)
Thank you!
Thank God for GRACE 💗💗
Thank you Deanne Jo for your work, I appreciate your honest, fairness and encouragement for anyone that has been trapped in a legalistic Corporate Christian organization. I was saved in the UPCI and attended faithfully for 20 years. I have been out of the Org since 2000 and am living daily in the GRACE of Jesus Christian!
Wow i really enjoyed this interview and Scott's awakening and paying homage to Roy.
Scot, your experience parallels my own. I appreciate your openness and willingness to share your story. I had to take off the “oneness” goggles to really understand what the books of John, Romans and Galatians were teaching. Thank you for your channel Deanna!
I was filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues before I was in the UPC. I know what happened that night and it was not in a loud and crazy environment. It was actually pretty quiet with me telling Jesus that I loved Him. That was 1975. I left the UPC many years ago. But I still pray in tongues to my Father. He knows what's on my heart and He understands me. You can say what you want about fakeness and not being necessary. But no one can take away what He gave me.
Awesome Speaker and thank you both for sharing your experiences with us. I believe I met your speaker once in a Bible summer camp where Scott was ministering in Eastern Canada.
I know of a Pastor who was removed from Pastorship because his wife wore pants. A woman can feel the power of God in a pair of pants as good as a woman in a dress or skirt
Women need to wear pants during the Rapture are else folks gonna see Under the dresses😂 All kidding aside/ Modesty is the key/some women live in jeans cause dresses are so expensive. King Jesus looks at the heart and He will provide us with a Robe Of Righteousness❤Just dialoguing
Both of my patents said, "I hope I've done enough " on their death beds😢 Everything you two have talked about, resonates with my heart. Cradle upc. Got out at 39. Its still really hurts me to think my parents worked their fingers to the bone trying to get to Heaven😢😢😢
Another huge problem among the United Pentecostal Churches is transparency in terms of finances and the pastors/leaders submitting to authorities. I also see problems in arrogance as if they have all of God and everyone else is void of God when in fact they are spiritual infants. So many of the churcheshave a culture of chaotic worship. I have no problem with the whole church praying and praising God or moving/dancing but I have seen silly actions that just should not be. They seem to think that it is proof of God in their midst when in truth they are faking it. They are not losing control to the Holy Spirit who is causing them to create all that chaos. The are giving false fires - not the true fire of God.
Oh wow Scot! I am from NE Ark, & near bootheel, family are farmers in the area.
Thank tou for your testimony.
You can tell this man preached/preaches. He speaks with great articulation and clarity. You’ve got a new fan here. I’m binge watching your videos like it’s a new Netflix series. Much of the content resonates with me and I’ve been able to use your videos and scripture references as a study guide in my own journey to make sense of the 37 years of my Christian walk. Thank you so much for having the courage and gumption for standing up for what you believe and producing this content.
Thank you for watching and leaving encouraging comments. Shockingly enough...not everyone is happy with me creating this content. lol It's almost like religion is a hot button topic! 😉 I get some pretty angry comments at times. 😂
@@ResponsibleFaith You know whenever you've actually taken a stand for something by the way it upsets people. Play it safe and no one says boo.
So true.
Fascinating Interview ❤Life changing/Helping in the Prevention Of Spiritual Suicide ❤Thank you and Blessings...
May each of us here be blessed with the essence of LOVE being expounded in 1 CORINTHIANS 13.
Nutt’n wrong with being from Arkansas. I loved when he made the point WE do nothing it’s all about what Christ did for us. Reminds me of Alistar Beggs. Man on the middle cross. I so glad I found this channel. Blessings
It seems that every Christian who disagrees with a denomination says that that church's doctrine is unbiblical. The problem is that all Christian churches revere the Gospel, but they don't always agree on what the Scriptures are saying.
Wow! You covered it all! Ya they never called me either after I left. I'm still waiting!
This is so good! It’s not our performance but his!! Thank God!
Praise God!
@Scot I was raised in Paragould, AR sounds near your description.
Love and Prayers ❤️🙏🏻
I was offended too and I went back to church, to a UPC church. When we are offended we often want everyone else to change but the fact is that when we are offended we are the ones that need to change. There is no such thing as a perfect church or perfect people. I’m so glad to be back and the truth is more beautiful than it’s ever been!
I'm not sure what you're directly responded to? Neither Scot nor I left the UPC church because we were offended (I don't think either of us alluded to that in any way). We left because we studied and do not feel that scripture upholds the doctrines taught in the UPC church. We're not telling people to think like us, we're telling them to think for themselves and to study scripture on their own. Responsible faith.
Being offended is a real thing with real consequences. It shouldn't be easily dismissed as real damage can be inflicted on people and then excused by saying "you shouldn't be offended." However, I didn't leave the UPCI because of any offense I suffered. I left because of divergent views of what constitutes biblical and theological truth. I agree truth is beautiful. But it can only be beautiful if it is true for all people, in all places, at all times. The UPCI can't make that claim historically, culturally, or biblically. Jesus said it best "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." Any so called truth that binds and fetters the behavior of people and their capacity or liberty to think and act for themselves by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, isn't preaching the truth, it is just perpetuating bondage in religious clothing.
@@thescotloyd Very well said my brother!
@ Mary Schildwachter Classic victim blaming.
Jesus Christ declares Himself to be the truth (John 14:6)
Well, let's see what the truth does:
The truth sets free those who are bound (Luke 4:18), not bind those who are free.
The truth is full of grace (John 1:14), not full of law.
The truth has compassion (Matthew 9:36), not elitism and self righteousness.
Yes, THE truth, Jesus Himself (not religious, denominational, or organizational paradigms) is beautiful indeed.
@@ResponsibleFaith Exactly what I did... studied on my own and that study took me to a UPCI church in my mid 50s. After years of being Catholic, then many protestant denominations, and a trinity based charismatic pentacostal church. Now the true truth, to me the UPCI is spot on bible with their doctrines.
Just curious, @1:50 someone walking outside passes by the window, what is he carrying?
I am only partway through this interview and already many good points have been addressed! Well done!
Thank you, glad you're enjoying it!
I'd pay a reasonable price to listen to Scot Loyd and David Bernard have a 2 hour debate and/or critical discussion. (Donate the fee to a charity.)
That would be good!
I have been in the UPCI for 38 years... I came in as a Biker who had done a lot of drugs... The UPCI is not perfect, but in the area of ”Biblical Truth” I have no issue... The spirit of how it's presented sometimes is questionable... And some of these back woods... Countrified congregations.. are still a little backwards.. This guy has simply been hurt by misleading aspirations of ministry success... and he has been hurt several times... Some of what he says is simply bitterness if he was honest..
Had you grown up in the UPC as a female, you might have had a MUCH different experience. The area of "Biblical Truth" is the exact reason many of us leave. I know Scot can speak for himself, but since I know he's too humble to toot his own horn...I can tell you it was not a lack of success/opportunity in ministry that led him to leave. I know of at least one opportunity he had right before leaving that would be the dream (at least at that time) of any aspiring UPC evangelist. He left because of the doctrine, not bitterness or hurt. I think you're hearing what you want to hear instead of what he is actually saying. Bitterness is the classic accusation the UPC makes of anyone, anywhere who ever leaves and voices a concern. It's an easy way to diminish the person talking and shut down the conversation without having to address any doctrinal issues or even abuses.
@@ericmorrison3121 Are you talking about Scot? How do you get that? It's pretty obvious you don't know what you are talking about.
I know the you still living the blues...there is such corruption among the churches in that area that baptism and the oneness is the least of the worry.
1 John 4:7-8 talks about, without it you do not know God!! Needless to say I was NOT loved in SE Missouri.
wow wow - this was an incredible interview - Scot so well articulated the issues with the UPCI theology and even more importantly the damage it's doing to people. Thank you for being transparent and thank you Deanna for sharing these voices.
Glad you enjoyed it!
here, here!
Thank you.
I just got to ask, Acts chapter 2, is the history of the church, where in scripture did the Lord tell the church to change the order of how the church was to continue, If humans are involved, there is a flaw.
Excellent! Thank You so much!1
If you are saved by your own works and those works stop then you would lose your salvation. If you are saved by God’s grace then that grace will never change.
If Jesus walked into a UPCI today they would turn him away. You know because of the long hair & robe.
Yes sadly
Some would turn Him away. I think some would try to save Him. I think others will fall to their knees in repentance once they realized the error of their ways.
Yep then would make him shave too he would be told to put on a suit with tie
Honestly, I believe Jesus would be turned away from about 70-80 percent of ALL denominations not just Apostolics. Especially in the world we live in today. That 70-80 percent of people that I am referring to are simply to busy, or prefer no to be bothered because it's an inconvenience. Honestly, If Jesus walked into churches today wouldn't even acknowledge him. It's a very sad thing
How do we know Jesus had long hair?
Great interview!
I was born and raised at a UPC church in central AR. So it's cool to hear from another Arkansan.
You must be born of water and spirit...you MUST be born again. I love the Oneness theology. However, the organization is difficult for me to embrace.
I wish everyone still sitting on a UPC pew would watch this video.
I'm still on the Pugh, 41 years now. Born again and Heaven bound. Always remember to edified the Churches, not tear them down. Jesus said upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will of prevail against it
Not prevail against it
I’m watching it. I’m sitting on a upc pew but I don’t follow everything they say, I follow christ
@@rodmanley3219 set
I attend a UPC church. I grew up in one, brainwashed. Then I got away to a denomination church for 30 years. Recently moved and the only church nearby that is at all close to Christian values is a UPC church. I attend, but do not agree with so much of what is taught. Don’t know how long I can stay here.
I am a 2 time departee from the UPC. My membership time totaled approximately 17 years. I was a Bible quizzer for 8 years. I saw a lot in that time from an associate pastor having an affair with 2 congregants to a pastor resigning after admitting to spousal abuse for 25+ years, after which he was able to retain his license and continues to evangelize to this day. I was told that God would not direct my path without speaking to the pastor first. My parents were told that if they left a particular congregation they were going to hell and dragging their children with them. It goes on and on and on.... if I were to drop any names of the preacher's I've had dealings with anyone formerly or currently involved would know them as they all have had national and international significance in the organization so I will refrain from that. At any rate I subjected myself to the mental and spiritual torture twice. This is obviously an extremely brief summation there is so much more detail that I could share that would be pages and pages in length.
I'm so sorry to hear that Greg. While some people do have good experienced in the UPCI, the large number of us who didn't should be a cause for alarm. I honestly love many of the people, but their beliefs on submission/control and their worship of pastors does end up making it a very toxic environment in many cases. The legalistic teaching in many of their churches is hopeless and imo is spiritually abusive. It does real damage to people. I hope you are doing well now.
@@ResponsibleFaith my experience like many others was not all bad at all!! It was the compilation of all the bad things that lead me to leave both times. At any rate I am far better off and having listened to your show and interviews so many memories have been triggered from my experience that I'm beginning to feel a desire to share my experiences as well.
For the sake of the dead bodies in their wake , please tell us who these ministers are ?
I would like to hear your story.
I love the UPCI but not all of them. I go with my mom. She is old time pentecostal, there is no changing her at 81. We just say she is extra saved, but I dont get the hair thing. Making a God out of hair. Hair is so superficial. I heard a preacher say, if a women cuts her hair, she will lose her angel. I don't cut mine anymore because its just easier to not have to hear the ignorance. I dont wear pants, but its kinda stupid to me because everything we wear except dresses and skirts partain to a man. Why pick pants? We wear boots, tshirts which were really introduced to men in war time. I just hate to hear, "Well they will find out the thuth as of they want people to go to hell just to prove a point. The doctrine and tongues. I do believe in baptism in Jesus name and tongues.
No such thing as extra saved
Is the dress and hair standard about Christianity or is it about control?
Control
I heard so many different issues in people that's the reason why they all leaving. I myself noticed it too for years I kept it and wonder all those years why I moved Churches many time. The UPCI need to examine their teaching putting to much pressure and stressing many people. I noticed that too they're out of text, I wonder what ever happened the example of Jesus and why not being followed His teaching.
Yes! The Gospel message changed everything!!! This is what I was trying to say in a previous post but it was misunderstood I think. I would love to talk to Scot Loyd. Is there a way to get an email address or link of some kind without posting publicly to prevent spam emails? Thanks!
He's on Facebook. You could also likely contact him through his blog (I included links under this video).

No problem, I'm not so tech savvy either. lol
@@soulsearcher71 scotloyd1@gmail.com
and one other thing...the plan of salvation of acts 2;38 is another non-negotiable issue
Which is what exactly? Think about the context of your answer
This was excellent! This was absolutely excellent.
Awesome. I used to attend the United Pentacostal Church for over a decade. They had another gospel.
As long as we have the same Jesus and the same gospel message, we can agree to disagree on what discipleship (should you choose it) looks like.
I am not a cessationist but I prefer to err on the side of caution. I currently attend an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church.
I wasn't saved until about 2-1/2 years ago after listening to Renee Roland on TH-cam.
I had been trusting partially in my works and partially in Christ.
False gospel messages include : make a commitment, promise to follow Jesus, repent of your sins, make Jesus Lord and Master of your life, surrender your will, give your life to Christ, pick up your cross daily, etc.
Those are all good things that already saved people should be doing. None of them saves anyone or can contribute in any way to salvation.
Jesus Christ paid for all the sins of all the world (past, present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation.
When you have believed you have repented unto life!!!!!
Jesus Christ gets all the glory for saving anyone and as such He will not save anyone who is trusting partially in their good works and partially in Him.
To have Everlasting life you must admit that you are a hopelessly lost sinner and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before and trust Jesus Christ as your only hope of getting to Heaven. You are trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
Once you have done that you are born again. You were born spiritually dead, but now you have a new Spirit living inside you that absolutely cannot sin.
Your flesh can still sin.
As an adopted child of God you can choose to be obedient or not. Salvation is absolutely free Recieved solely by trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone.
If you choose to be obedient, then God will bless you in this life and you will store up for yourself treasures in Heaven.
If you choose to be disobedient, then rest assured that God Himself will punish you in this life and you will have little to no rewards in Heaven and you will be ashamed at the judgment seat of Christ.
Your choice,
Choose wisely.
I don't know if anyone will even see this. I left the UPC very many years ago. But some things that I took with me I still believe to be true. I feel that we as humans want to know. We don't like the unknown. But God cannot be explained by anyone - not Trinitarian or Oneness. We cannot use human logic or reasoning only scripture.
Paul tells us in Ephesians that there is One Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4 declares the Lord our God as one. God is Spirit so it seems according to scripture that the Spirit of God is one. 2nd Corinthians 4:6 says 'God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ '. We know Jesus was begotten of the Holy Ghost. Seems to me that makes the Holy Ghost the Father. This is scripture and not human logic or reasoning. I also don't think this is worth arguing or debating. God is Who He is regardless of what any of us think.
On the matter of baptism I have a couple of questions. What did Jesus mean in Mark 16:16 when He said 'Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, whoever does not believe will be condemned.'? And in Acts 10:48 why did Peter command Cornelius and his household to be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ? It seems according to scripture that baptism is an essential part of salvation. In Acts 2:38 Peter said it's for the remission of sins.
I love 1st Corinthians 2:2 'For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him
I just want to always look to Jesus for answers. After all He is the author and finisher of my Faith. I want to be like Him, love like Him. I can only do this by His Spirit which lives in me.
I grew up in the PAW, which is the ethnic version of UPCI. The group came from a racial split during Azusa times. I went to UPCI pre-school for a little bit. I understand most holiness Apostolic Pentecostal churches period could be a bit strict and legalistic. The PAW seems to be not so legalistic these days. I have found UPC from my knowledge to be too legalistic. While I agree with the oneness of God, repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues and holiness. Grace is extended and we should live in grace, however, I hear people say we are saved by grace faith alone, by grace alone. Be careful. The Word does not say that. The word ALONE your inputting. If your saved by faith alone then you don't need grace, if your saved by grace alone then you don't need faith. Adding one word can as Satan did to eve can be fatal. Stick with the Word and live according to the Word of God.
I agree whole heartedly with your explanation. However the UPCI is also ethnic not just the PAW. Everyone on planets earth belong to some ethnic group.
You say you hear people say we are saved by grace faith alone. Well lets look at that scripture.
Ephesians 2:8-9
King James Version
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
So we are saved by Gods grace, through faith. Which by the way is Gods faith too, scripture says this. But what is the Gospel.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
King James Version
15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
So believing on the Son of God. His death burial and resurection. Faith cones by hearing. We must hear someone preachibg the Gospel. Hearing that God manifested in flesh, Christ Jesus. Took on the sins of the whole world. For who so shall believe He was sent. He was killed and buried. But God raised Him on the 3rd day if you believe that you will have eternal life. Meaning you have to put your faith, trust in Jesus Christ.
wait a minute...the late 70's early 80's the end was near then too???!!! smh
When you're trying to manipulate people with fear...it's always near! Many of us grew up with a knot in our stomach for nothing. 😔
@@ResponsibleFaith Yep!! I used to be scared to DEATH!!!!!
In the 60's as well
This was great!
Great video!
i can understand the activities of getting hurt by imperfect people....people are gonna be people in the truth or not..but everything is open to discussion or thought but the plan of salvation and who jesus is is not open to any possibilities as not being the truth.....everything after that has got to be left up to god in dealing with people in general regardless of what that might be cause god is the ultimate decider of every person on this earth....
Just like Scott's wife I am a singer also. I recorded a gospel CD when I was not going to the Pentecostal Church. But my best friend who was a Pentecostal pastor's son who was well known within the organization at least in the south region. he told me he gave my CD to his parents and they loved it. They wanted to promote me within the organization which basically meant they wanted me to come back to church. I did not want to sacrificemy happiness that I have found since leaving that organization. So I told him thanks for the invitation but I just couldn't do it. by the way he has passed away. I found out he was a drug addict most of his life. I'll tell you more about that in an email.
I was tortured as a child because I didn't speak in tongues, my parents took shifts praying over me every night because I would stay up all night crying because I thought I was going to hell, I was also tortured by the demons of the pastor who later on years later was proved to be sleeping with all the women and young girls as young as 12 years old, we were Apostolic pentecostal, we were told that UPC was false doctoral teaching because they were too worldly, it's taken a lifetime to heal my scars, I still struggle with anger to this day, I am 49 years old and still have nightmares of my childhood....
I'm so sorry to hear of your trauma. There are private support groups on FB for victims of spiritual abuse. You might find them comforting. If you want to reach out to me I can send you the links/info. I don't blame you for being angry!
The problem I have with Trinity and God in 3 persons is you will need to find me scripture that says Trinity or the Word describing God as 3 persons.
That’s similar to how upci uses “Godhead” to describe GOD. Trinity was used to make it simpler to understand GODs nature, just like our nature. Mind, Body, and Spirit. We are made in GODs image. Don’t reach or read into something that it isn’t
I had this same linguistic objection to the Trinity for a very long time, and I'm still hesitant to use the Trinitarian language, but I just recently realized the doctrine itself is actually true. It all had to do with humility:
It started by noticing that 1 Cor 8:1-4 says knowledge "puffs up," but the very knowledge Paul is talking about is that, "There is no God but One." (then he goes on to expand the Shema, but that alone didn't convince me).
Then I was reading Phillipians 2. The context is Christ's example of humility that we should imitate, and it culminates in verse 9 - "Therefore God has highly exalted him..." Not, "He exalted himself," or, "We exalt him," or "He became exalted," but GOD exalted HIM. This led me to the language that The Father and Son are distinct "selves" that are active in redemption.
Then I started reading Hebrews and I just couldn't un-see it. Heb. 5:5 even confirmed, "He did not exalt himself as High Priest."
Again, still don'r think the language of "persons" conveys this very well anymore. I think the term "person" has shifted meaning gradually. But it is not correct to say Jesus *is* the Father or the Spirit.
Now I'm trying to figure out whether I leave my awesome church that really doesn't have most of the issues people complain about in the UPCI 😕
The Word Bible is not in the Bible either nor the word Rapture and the word Oneness...so there you go...Just dialoguing
oh contraire, you do have to act and continue to act to be saved as you will need to add several things to your life, like temperance, gentleness, meekness, ect., you will not be saved by grace alone, the question has already been asked, "what must I "do" to be saved?", you can read in acts what the answer was, and every example given of how they were baptized was with the pronouncement in the name of Jesus and even after the forgiveness and belief in Jesus, the question by Paul concerning the Spirit of God was have you received the Holy Ghost since you have believed? When the people received the holy ghost and spoke with tongues it was with a language that was not their own but it most definently was understood by others nearby whose language it was, not some angelic words as this guy implies. Why did paul ask this question if it isn't a separate experience after believing in Christ. Do not conflate a bad experience in any church ran by people or these people as a substitute for the bible and its meaning. some things for example are not a question of am i going to hell or not, just read the bible, become bible Christians and ignore organizations if they conflict and these people too. As far as dressing goes, the criteria in the bible is "modesty" and an understanding that men should dress like men and women like women. So is it modest the way people dress now days? and why is it always brought up by these people concerning church and dress, I mean you dont go to a job interview in a bathing suit or a funeral in PJ's why do some people insist on going to a church of any kind with their night club clothes on with their stuff hanging out, be Modest or at least be honest about why your not. Sorry dude but you can not separate what happened in the beginning of acts from the ending of acts in order to justify "your belief", just remember the only gaps are in your head not in the bible
Repentance of sins has never saved anyone or contributed in any way to salvation.
The repentance that saves is turning from whatever you trusted in before and trust Jesus Christ as your only hope of getting to Heaven.
Furthermore, nobody has ever successfully repented of all their sins. False teachers will then say only be willing to repent. They effectively lower God's standard of absolute perfection down to some attainable for them standard of so called holy living.
The King James Bible says, not of him who willeth, or him who runneth, but of God who shows mercy.
Also, repentance from dead works and of faith Towards God.
False teachers will also say oh yes it grace through faith alone in Christ alone, but if you are really saved you will have the works.
This is backloading the gospel with works. Talking out of both sides of their mouth.
We are saved unto good Works, not by them, or kept by them, neither can they prove my salvation.
We need to realize that we are sinners in order to know that we need a Saviour.
How do you trust in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation when you are also trusting in your performance (repentance of sins)?????
You don't!!!!!
Our repentance of sins and good works are solely for rewards in Heaven.
Anyway, Deanna, I'm sure that you get it, but there's a lot of people who don't, who may read the comments section and actually get saved by trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
Professing to be wise, they became fools. For without repentance there is no forgiveness, with no forgiveness there is no everlasting life with Christ.
@@rodmanley3219 Repentance of sins is law keeping and is a lifetime of works and has never saved anyone or contributed in any way to salvation.
Jonah 3: 10 calls turning from sins, "works."
"And God saw their (works) that they turned from their wicked way and God repented of the evil that He would do unto them and He did it not."
So you are preaching yet another cleverly repackaged version of faith plus works equals salvation nonsense here.
I certainly would have responded sooner but my phone didn't give me any notifications.
According to the book of Revelation the TRUE church of The Living GOD are those whose Robes are Wash in The Blood Of The Lamb...Trusting In the finish work Of Christ’s Calvary’s Cross says it all/His Royal Holy Blood was made for our atonement propitiation .There’s no other way but by The Cross❤We all have fallen short of the Glory Of GOD /King Jesus paid it in full...So we can become new creatures in Christ (Born-again by Holy Ghost indwelling)...To begin with Adam and Eve’s curse was upon humanity also ...Just dialoguing
Listen to children and drunk people 😆 🤣 love it 😆 🤣
He's a heretic then.
He had no root in himself and built upon sand.
Do you even know what the word heretic means? Collins dictionary defines heretic as: someone whose beliefs or actions are considered wrong by most people, because they disagree with beliefs that are generally accepted.
Scot shared widely accepted traditional Christian views.
If God wants someone to speak in tongues, it will happen no matter how much we suppress it and they aren’t gibberish, hence why in the day of Pentecost the tongues spoken where actual earthly tongues. Tongues will not save anyone. I believe in baptism and should be done but it’s not a final say for you to be saved. Never limit the power of God by forcing tongues. Also remember the thief on the cross next to the Lord, he repented and recognized God and our Lord forgave him and told him he was going to be in paradise. He did not get baptized nor spoke in tongues. As for being baptized in the titles or in Jesus name. It all equates to the same thing so if you where baptized in the titles, there is no need to be baptized again even though the upci will tell you that you need to. That upci leader that tells you that they need to realize that they aren’t recognizing Jesus because Jesus is the father, son, and Holy Spirit
Ps I still attend a UPC church.
Believers are known for their fruit not their tongue/but like the Apostle Paul said “I praise GOD that I speak in tongues more than ye all”... there is the unknown tongue/the Heavenly Language/ satan doesn’t understand...Just dialoguing/BTW: Tongues don’t save you/the Holy Powerful Blood Of Jesus Of Calvary’s Cross Saves you❤
Pentecost has the most correct “theology”…but they do need to look at some issues. That is not the dress code.
John 17 reads the Oneness Of GOD❤My Father And I Are One/Speaks Of The Eternal Yeshua (Jesus)....Just dialoguing...One GOD three person? I don’t see it that way that equals 4... It’s Father GOD and two persons equals 3/...There’s 3 that bears record in Heaven :Father/ Logos(The Son) /Spirit (Holy Ghost)...Some Of Our Jewish Messianic Brethren Believers refers to the Godhead as Compound Unity... I too came out of UPC and understand Oneness Godhead but lean more towards Trinity ❤John 1:18...I go to a Trinitarian non-denominational Church (Pentecostal roots) operates in the gifts and Holy Ghost Baptism And submerge In water pronouncing Jesus Name...Just dialoguing
Upc doesn’t even believe Jesus is eternal so what are you talking about ?
So, you’re gonna tell me my “Holy Ghost experience” with “speaking in tongues” was all fake? Sorry, but for me, it was REAL
I would never tell you that. I do think that there is fake out there, and from what I see in scripture speaking in tongues is languages, but I know several people who have had beautiful experiences speaking in tongues. There are differing viewpoints on this topic, I think it's good to have these conversations. I've seen wicked people use "tongues" as a tool to give themselves spiritual credibility in front of congregations as well., so I think it's wise to be discerning.
@@ResponsibleFaith I feel ya. Sometimes, it’s just a bunch of noise to me now. The whole “when was the last time you were “slain” in the spirit? When was the last time you “spoke” in tongues? I’m tired of hearing this, and the pressure, to get or show, you have the Holy Ghost. Pressure, pressure, pressure. It’s as if, if they don’t see you at that alter every time there’s alter call, then you must have issues. Now, after I’ve seen several of your videos, it’s all I’m seeing. This “pressure” to perform(at least that’s what I see) for God at all times. Just to make sure you’re “really” sincere about living for God.
I can explain the trinity.
God is one Spirit being eternally present as three distinct centers of consciousness within God (hence the godhead of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). One being, one essence, yet three distinct persons.
As persons each is definitely not either of the other two.
However as one Spirit being, then yes we can definitely say that the Father is The Son is the Holy Spirit.
Each person is co equal, co eternal, co Almighty, co omnipresent, co omnipotent, co omniscient, etc.
Jesus Christ is God Almighty clothed in unfallen humanity. In Him dwells all the fullness of the godhead bodily.
Separate flesh from Spirit and you will begin to understand how Jesus Christ spoke and Prayed. It does not explain everything, but it makes things easier to understand.
Except the son is not eternal. He had a beginning with the incarnation.
@@ws775 Then explain John 1:1 or John 17:5... Have you read John 1 or Hebrews 1?
@Hogan's Heroes I agree with you to a degree. Please allow me to explain my view of the trinity. God is a spirit, Jesus is of course born flesh to be the ultimate sacrifice. Finally, the Holy Ghost is the spirit of Truth. Therefore, there is one God, but the manifestations of God. In explaining the trinity I refer to them as entities or being v. Persons.
Take an an Egg. 1 egg, but again, three different substances of the one Egg. The Shell, Egg White, and the Egg Yolk. Still one Egg, but three distinct substances. Make sense?
God and the Holy Ghost are spirits not a person.
@@ws775 Jesus has always existed and was never a created being.
He had a physical birth two thousand years ago of a Virgin and of the Holy Spirit, thereby He did not inherit the sin nature of Adam.
God is one Spirit being.
Jesus is Lord God Almighty.
Separate flesh from Spirit and you will begin to understand how Jesus spoke and prayed.
@@christophercreekmore9187 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Yes, Jesus is Lord God Almighty.
God is one Spirit being.
Separate flesh from Spirit and you will begin to understand how Jesus spoke and prayed.
I have over 35 verses proving that Jesus is Lord God Almighty.
26:11...if it can be faked then it is fake. There is NO reason to speak in tongues today. To say say is a COMPLETE ignorance of what it was for in Bible times.
Be careful.....your walking on dangerous ground here. I have been graciously been given the gift 🎁 of tongues and interpretation of tongues. These are gifts. No I am not stating that everyone must speak in tongues to make heaven. There are gifts of the spirit such as prophecy, miracle, healing etc... . And yes! Tongues are for the church today. Please study God's word and ask for discernment and understanding. And no I am NOT UPC
I’m ex oneness
So are you a Democrat?
That's a personal question, but personally, I'm Canadian. I'm not a "Democrat" or a "Republican". As far as Scot goes, would it make a difference to you if you did know how he voted? I've always been surprised by the American Christian approach to politics.
@@ResponsibleFaith I was talking about Scott. I was raised UPCI and I totally agree with your videos and appreciate the work you are doing. I remember being ostracized when I was younger because I wasn’t allowed to play sports or even go to prom. Now the UPCI pastor’s children play high school sports and special permission is given to girls in the marching band to wear pants because it’s part of the uniform. My sister was even allowed to wear huge culottes when we were growing up? I was serious about the question about being a Democrat because of the views of the Democrat party about abortion and other moral issues. I
Thank you.
I've always been of the persuasion that all parties support ungodly issues as well as ungodly people. I am pro-life but I also think if the church were really serious about getting rid of abortions, they would get VERY serious about supporting and helping women who find themselves faced with that agonizing decision. I don't see financial support being made a priority by churches, I don't see them pushing for free birth control, a free morning-after pill to prevent fertilization in the case of a mistake or an assault, subsidized daycare for moms who are doing their best but fall short each month, scholarships for those moms to get an education, churches aren't pushing their representatives to make adoption easier or cheaper...I believe all of these things would reduce abortion numbers. Abortions will take place whether it's legal or not. Abortion has happened for centuries, in countries all over the world. I think it's easy to pick a side on an issue, but life is complex, and too often we don't want to involve ourselves in the nitty-gritty of coming up with viable solutions. Christians need to do more than just vote a certain way. It seems to produce better results when abortion is unnecessary than it does to simply make it illegal. I do take comfort in the studies that show that younger people lean more pro-life than they have for decades thanks to 3D ultrasounds. I really hope we can fix this problem, but I don't think it will be done simply by changing laws without trying to get some help to the root of the problem.
I'm never convinced we can judge the reasons someone votes the way they do (not that it's any of our business). I have Christian friends who vote more conservatively and others who tend to vote more liberal. I understand their reasons when they've chosen to share them with me. I feel like Canadians have kept faith and politics separated in pulpits, even though Christians in Canada do tend to vote Conservative. Different issues hold weight for different people. I have a very conservative Christian friend from the US who voted Dem in the last election because her son is special needs and when the Republicans are in office the programs that support her family and help provide medical care for her son are taken away. She is pro-life and agrees with most of the Republican platform, but voted with the issue that impacts her family personally the most. She felt she had no other choice. Since I don't exactly see churches stepping up to help with their medical bills, I guess it's none of their business how she votes. There is no such thing as a moral vote imo...we just do the best we can with what we have to choose from. It seems like in most elections we're just trying to choose the least of the evils, but we never avoid it completely. And that is about as political as I've ever gotten publicly online! lol But, that is how I view that topic. Not sure how Scot feels, but he likely wouldn't disagree with too much I said.
You in this video is doing the devils work, God's work is to edified the Church, not pick it apart. If ur not happy where ur at, move onto another. Never tear down Gods kingdom. What is the point of these video to bash Churches. Let it go, repent and turn from your wicked ways
Aw, you're just mad someone's challenging you. Give it a rest.
Yet you willingly clicked on this video knowing what it would be about. AND NOO, THE ONES DOING THE DEVILS WORK ARE THESE LEADERS IN THESE CULTS. Truth hurts, and it seems to have gotten to you.
No one can tear God's kingdom apart, and this is not even close to doing that. These people are awesome for exposing these cults.
If you're a part of any of these churches and feel ok, then don't go clicking on videos exposing them.
I’ve come to realize the “church” is actually a body of believers. Not an actual building…😁
