I'm a Oneness Pentecostal. However I do not believe in the legalism in our movement. I may get labeled a heretic or be called a non Christian, but I do believe in baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe in One God, and I believe in tongues. I'm more open to sharing with those who are from different denominational backgrounds, or non denominational. There's been a great deal of exposure going on in the UPCI specifically in terms of sexual crimes and spiritual abuse. Although I believe in Oneness view and attend a Oneness church, I am not blind to the fact that there is a lot of bad stuff going in the UPCI. It can be hard at times hearing conversations like this because I am in fact a Oneness Pentecostal. However I appreciate the honesty and the desire to combat false teachings and doctrine. I am not a theologian or anything any you guys could preach circles around me. But I hope y'all don't call me a heretic. I'm convinced that Trinitarians are filled with the Holy Spirit and are lead by Christ just as we Oneness people are. To the lady's point on modesty, she's right to an extent. I've seen several men and women take it too far and they wear new suits and dresses every Sunday. I do believe in modesty but I don't believe in drawing the wrong attention to yourself. To any Oneness people who see my post, I don't care if you get offended at me. These folks are sharing their concerns and their thoughts based on the experience of the lady in the interview. Don't rip into these people because they call out our legalistic ways. I hope I haven't offended any Trinitarians and I hope what I have shared doesn't make you feel like I'm a bad person. Just wanted to share that there are some good and well meaningful Oneness Pentecostal people out there. Just give us a chance. Yall take care, God bless.

@@BENJAMINJAMESSMITH2000The Bible says we need to be baptized as followers of Christ.
However we are saved when we are born from above which happens when we put our faith in Christ.
      Water baptism comes after faith.
      Acts 10:44
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.
      Acts 10:47

I identified as Apostolic for 38 years. Now I identity as a Christian.
For years I didn’t understand why Apostolics believe what they do- baptism saves, women have to look ugly to be saved (no makeup, extra long hair), beards, denying the triune nature of God, etc.
Getting re-baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit tonight according to Jesus in Matthew 29:19.
I don’t believe the apostolic church is a cult. I think if they genuine relationship with Christ, they are saved. I also think they do a lot of things right. I think some nondenominational churches have a casual attitude towards Christ. While I don’t believe women must wear long skirts only, I do see a lot of women in the non-denominational church that dress very inappropriately. I think both churches can learn from each other and not be against each other.

As an observer, I've gained a unique understanding of the Oneness Pentecostal perspective on the Trinity. This distinctive interpretation, deeply rooted in the belief in God's oneness, boldly proclaims the absence of a trinity. Instead, it presents God as a singular entity with diverse manifestations or roles. This intriguing contrast to the traditional Christian belief in the Trinity, which views God as three distinct persons in one being, sparks a lively engagement of thought and perspective.
It's crucial to note that God, in the beginning, did not have a son or daughter. This fact is underscored by the LORD Himself in Isaiah 44:6, where He identifies Himself as the preeminent deity, stating, 'I am the first, and I am the last, and beside me, there is no God.' This declaration is further emphasized in Isaiah 45:5-6, which proclaims, 'I am the LORD, and there is none else; there is no God beside me.'
When God decided to make man, He said, 'Let us make man in our image and likeness.
When considering who God was speaking to, the angels, often called the Heavenly Host, are strong contenders. Most Christians try to understand that three bear witness and have a misunderstanding, thinking there are three heads in God's head. This needs to be clarified for the scriptures.
Rabbi Tovia Singer is not a Christian but explains in the Hebrew Bible that there is no Trinity. On youtube th-cam.com/video/WVgfr_UhXWo/w-d-xo.html
It is OK to be Baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost or in the Name of Jesus Christ. Acts 2 records the Apostle Peter preaching to the crowds on the day of Pentecost to "repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (or forgiveness) of sins" (Acts 2:38). Other detailed records of baptisms in Acts show the first apostles baptizing in the name of Jesus.

Perhaps you were indoctrinated into believing something incorrectly … by someone with a biased platform. The same scriptures you use to thwart the Dogma of the Holy Trinity - are used in the definition and context and defense of the Trinity. Father. Son. Holy Spirit. One in Essence AND Undivided. My kids can look at The UPI teaching on hair and beards and no that is out of context and still know that Jesus and God are one and baptism in Jesus name is correct. Then there’s that other verse that says, the “the Head of Christ is God…” and speaks of folks not holding the Head in its properly place. Theos - theote… Deus - Divinitas…. God and godhead. (Greek, Latin, English). One God and godhead. Father. Son. Holy Spirit. Ego eimi, Logos, Pneumos… Yahweh Elohim - davar Yahweh, Ruach Yahweh.
Jesus Christ is certainly fully God… he is also fully Man…. But. The Scriptures do not read as Oneness Pentecostals often try to assert they do… No Orthodox Jew would say the davar Yahweh and the Ruach Yahweh is the same as Yahweh Elohim, but He has never been without them and are One with Him.

    • @roscoes9933
      @roscoes9933 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@realmccoy124 As an observer, I've come to understand that the Oneness Pentecostal perspective on the Trinity is a unique interpretation that some find compelling. This perspective, rooted in the belief in the oneness of God, asserts that there is no trinity. And the Jewish Rabbis who were taught the Torah and the Tanakh know that only God the Father is the True God.
You are correct when you say No Orthodox Jew would say the davar Yahweh and the Ruach Yahweh are the same as Yahweh Elohim.
The Hebrew ruach means “wind,” “breath,” or “spirit.” However, Yeshua implied that he was Elohim. Because of this, the Jews who Loved Yeshua wanted to stone him for blasphemies. They understood Christ indicated He was God the Father in a Human Body.
However, it's important to note that God initially had no son or daughter. In Isaiah 44:6, the LORD identifies Himself as the preeminent deity, declaring, 'I am the first, and I am the last, and beside me, there is no God.' This is reiterated in Isaiah 45:5-6, which states, 'I am the LORD, and there is none else; there is no God beside me.'
When God decided to make man, He said, 'Let us make man in our image and likeness.' According to the Oneness Pentecostal perspective, this statement does not imply the existence of a Trinity but rather reflects God's divine nature. God the Father had no son or other gods besides Him. Thus, no other deity exists alongside God in the creation narrative.
During creation, when God decided to make man, He said let us make man Genesis 1:26
The Trinity is not in the Bible. I believe that Jesus was God in a human Body.
Colossians 1:16: "For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through him and for him."

I am a Oneness Pentecostal who has grown up in the United Pentecostal Church in Kentucky and currently serve as a Youth Pastor. I don’t think that our official teachings around holiness of life are actually works based- there are many people who have taught holiness incorrectly. I assure you that the heart of living a holy life empowered by the Holy Spirit with dependence on Christ is being emphasized by people like our General Superintendent David Bernard as well the Dean of Biblical Studies at the Bible college I attended.
We emphasize the power of the Holy Ghost to change people. We emphasize the conviction and transformation of the Holy Ghost. We believe in the fruit of the Spirit. We do teach obeying biblical commands regarding dress style, hair, speech, attitude, where we go for entertainment etc. We do believe in applying biblical principles of righteousness. Why? To protect against the brokenness of the world.
It has to be rooted in dependence on Jesus to transform us, His Spirit convicting us.

Message churches come in many forms, in part because Branham possessed little doctrinal consistency. Branham left behind churches that are essentially Oneness and would get along well in the UPCI, WPF, ALJC, and PAW, Trinitarian churches that would accuse Oneness believers of heresy, and churches that believe in the divinity or near divinity of Branham himself. Branham himself never quite came out and explicitly stated that he was God, but he certainly heavily implied it. There are contradictory reports as to how far he was actually going because there are some reports that he was going to take down at least some of the more blatant proponents of tgat doctrine when he died in the crash. On the other hand, he was known to have encouraged these men on that path. Most of the worshipers of Branham tend to belong to churches that were influenced by him during the late 1950s to his death. By then, he had been disfellowshipped by most Oneness and Trinitarian Pentecostals and the majority of the Latter Rain/Charismatic movement.

The kid who talks about William Branham unfortunately experienced unbalanced people. There is the cultish denominational version of the "message" then there is the "Message" that William Branham preached, which taught the Absolute is the Bible and Jesus Christ. His church sang no songs about him. He was a true prophetic voice in the body of Christ, that people have made into a cultish denomination. The people who claim to follow him come in all shapes and colors and emphasis of all kinds and strange unbiblical doctrines. But, William Branham preached the Bible and stayed true to it. When he says : "The Message is Christ"- William Branham's point was that whenever God sends a Word or a Message, It is Him. He is speaking. So it was with Paul. (1 Thessalonians 2:13) - It is not about William Branham, It is about Jesus. However far too many have no balance and make it about William Branham, and they are responsible for these extremes. However, Once we know Jesus, we are responsible to listen to whom he sends. Just like if we reject Paul or Peter. If God sends people today, we need to listen to them. William Branham was a genuine messenger of God who has 0 connection to the modern day NAR movement.

I’m not in the UPCI, but I’m very well acquainted with the UPCI. I’m actually a part of the apostolic assembly, which is a Hispanic Oneness organization that holds basically the same standards. I really do feel sorry for my brother that left the UPC, but I don’t believe it reflects the type of counsel he should have received. I am fully committed to this faith, and I believe it was all my heart, and I think it was just grossly misrepresented. Some simple rebuttal, but I think are necessary, David Bernard is highly esteemed because he has been at the front line of modern Oneness theology, however, he is not the only individual we turned to for our theology. There are other theologians that are just not well known. Also, regarding beards, we don’t believe it’s a sin. I think it could be regarding more as a cultural preference rather than a biblical doctrine I think it’s unfair to point to all the apostolic movement, and simply write them off, as if they all hold the same view. Regarding the baptism of the Holy Ghost, I think it is such a misrepresentation to say that tongues are the issue according to the New Testament in the book of acts every account of Spirit baptism, we see that everyone received the Holy Ghost with the evidence so tongues is not the point simply the evidence. I think any other interpretation is not biblical. It’s eisegesis rather than using the proper exegetical interpretation of scripture. Plus, I would ask, if you’ve never received the baptism of the Holy Ghost according to the book of acts, how do you even have any say something you’ve never experienced. Now regarding water baptism, it is so simple according to the scriptures that one must be baptizing Jesus name. To say in the authority of is absolute nonsense and subtle deception to justified the trinitarian formula, which is only found in one of the gospels. God is not the author of confusion and everybody in the book of acts baptized, in the name of Jesus or Jesus Christ. Why is that so hard to accept. Of course justification is by faith but we respond to faith by calling on the name of the Lord to have our sins remitted according to the scriptures. The book of acts and Peter says that this baptism saves. To write water baptism off as some type of unnecessary water immersion again, is contrary to the Word of God (John 3:5, Acts 2:38). Lastly, Oneness theology is so simple to understand. We simply believe that the one God was made flesh, and when He died (the man not God) and resurrected, came back to us as the Holy Ghost, according to John 14 and so many other scriptures, I can mention. Before making an argument on John 14 please read all the chapter. The whole chapter absolutely Establishes the Oneness view of the Godhead and the One explaining it was the Lord Himself, not one of 3 Lords of an unbiblical trinity which is nothing but heretical Catholic theology that was invented contrary to the teachings of both OT and NT theology. So much more to say but is a simple rebuttal to what was said.

Humbly and honestly ask God to show you the true interpretation of the scriptures and read what other denominations have to say about them. Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. If what you have is absolute truth, it should stand up against the scrutiny of other denominations.
