For a time I was using a Garmin Spot Trace. What I liked about it was satellite communication, not cell tower based, so it worked everywhere. Powered by the vehicle and backup batteries and gave you low voltage warnings for each.
Also gave a location every 5 minutes while in motion.
Glad your tracker worked for you.
Not heard of them but glad you had a tracker on. Honestly saved us thousands!
Glad your wife got her bike back. I have monimoto 9 on my bike, so that is reassuring. I also use litelok D locks, so far so good.
Also glad to hear the you Ducati is OK, it is a beautiful machine.
Thank you! Looks like you're well protected!
Great video pal and thank you for my divider mention. Much appreciated
No problem mate! I'll get some more in on the trip!
The blessing for you this month must be me joining your Patreon, its gotta be a major highlight for you?
Sorry to hear about Emma’s bike, glad you got it back!
David fae Basingstoke!
Always! You helping to fund my addiction for weird stuff is definitely useful ha!
Man, i might look into one of those trackers....glad she got her bike back......I would have had to stop and get a pic beside that town sign! LOL
Yeah very happy she got the bike back! Haha true
When it rains it pours. Glad you have come out on top.
Too right! It hasn't stopped raining yet unfortunately but hopefully I'll win the lottery or something next week 😂
@@SamVBikes I was going to ask if you had bought lottery tickets? LoL.
Haha maybe I should!
Jamie Oliver used to have a mobile restaurant called CockandCider😂😂.
That was hilarious.
😂😂😂 that's hilarious!
Wow, what an eventful few days you had......I recall the Dukes I had, 750SS, 900SL and 888 SP3 - all had rectifier issues and left me stranded, even brand new!!....
Haha yeah it's been silly full on! Glad we came out of it okay though. Thankful for all of those bits. Mad to think the Reg/rec goes so often. I love the stories of Ducati moving them for better air flow and ended up moving them to a space which is no better 😂
Sam, you talking about the bike specialists and the bikes they stock, sent my memory spiralling backwards to my first bike a Scott Squirel (race perpared). It was given to me when is was 16. Oh....the sound. How i didnt kill myself on it i dont know! 60 years on i am still riding. I have had Bonny's Dunstall Dominator, Beezers, AJS, Zundapp, Gold Star, Norton, ad infinitum. Anyways, completely off topic in my ramblings but i wonder if you or your followers had rare bikes back in the first days of taking to the road?
Corr that's quite some history you've got there!! I definitely don't have much of a history on older bikes but I know there are a fair few of the guys on here who have had and still have some very nice classics!
I was just thinking (dangerous I know).
If a scrapped bike runs that well in your country, a new bike must be unbelievably fast. 😊
😂😂 dangerous thinking that mate. Be careful
Love it mate,, great catch up.
Thank you mate 💪🏼🫶🏼
Hey mate. Glad she got her bike back! And good proof of the Monimoto! Wouldn’t be without mine and cheap! Top kit! 👍🏻
Definitely pal! One less headache to deal with!
@@SamVBikes good to see the SAS going strong, what’s the milage now?
Just hit 44.5k miles so going pretty well! Serviced it myself this afternoon
@@SamVBikes nice one.. chuffed you’ve had a good run on it, long May it continue. 👍🏻
Think I'm going to keep it as a work horse even if I get another bike. First gen3 Super Adv to hit 100k miles ha
Hi Sam, sounds like you've had a stressful month with so much happening. I'm pleased things have worked out as well as it can on all fronts. It looks like my biking season is already over due to a badly injured foot from slipping in the sea and am out of action for at least 6 weeks! ☹️
Yeah but of a crazy one but hopefully that will be the end of the stress!
Ahh that's annoying mate! Are you able to move it at all or completely out of action?
@@SamVBikes I have to keep it elevated for 2 weeks and will be in a big shoe and on crutches for a month, so I can't even do any tinkering. I will be off work for 6 weeks, possibly more. I'm surrounded by projects and can't do anything so it's really frustrating. I'm already stir crazy after 3 days 😂
Ahh mate that sounds like torture! I'd end up restarting a full series each week.. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, Breaking Bad, Suits, Clarksons Farm... the lot haha
@@SamVBikes you have similar taste to me as I looked up at my Sopranos box set only yesterday, all 84 episodes! 👍 I went out for breakfast with a mate this morning to help eliviate the boredom, I'm so used to being active I can't stay still for long 😂
@michaelmclarney1994 haha plenty of time to get through those! Get a few series going and you'll be back on your bike in no time
Yea, I have Monimoto and a couple of Liteloks and alarm and a Rottweiler in the topbox.
Haha sounds like you're sorted then
Watched you for a bit and had no idea you are in the VFX industry, I myself as well though based in London! What a rare sight (view?)
Ahh nice! I'm based in London for work too!
@@SamVBikes Interestingly I saw you last week on the A40 on the opposite side of me around Thursday I think, speak of a small world (mainly noted the big orange litelok) 😆
Haha! What bike do you ride? I'll keep a lookout for you
@@SamVBikes full black versys650 (top box etc quite generic), next time I managed to see I may just wave overly exaggerated
@PETR0VV haha sounds good! We can both get weird looks waving at each other across the road
You're turning into Joe with your beard hanging out the bottom of your helmet! ;-) Was trying to see if I could tell whether your audio was the DJI Mic 2 or from your Zoom F2, assume from chat the other day it was Zoom, as you've sent back DJI Mic 2?!
Haha both as lazy as each other!
This entire vid was on the Zoom. The DJI Mic was just that section where I swapped to it at the start. I couldn't bring myself to use the audio from the DJI mic
Hi Sam have you got the link for the mirror's on your ktm and barkbusters please?
Barkbusters here
abikething.com/product/barkbusters-powder-coated-backbone-kit-for-ktm-1290-super-adventure-s-r-2021-on/
And mirrors here. Hope you're sitting down as that's only for one ha

My current bike has an alternator. I don't miss stators at all.
Haha I wonder if there's a way to replace a stator with one
Someone tried to take my bike this week. Used a grinder on my 19mm chain.
Are you are now storing it elsewhere ?
Arseholes aren't they! At home it's in a locked garage but she now has the Litelok to secure it to a fence at work
I have a Monimoto, great bit of kit, but a shame it isn’t thatcham 7 approved. If it was, I would have saved £95 on my insurance on my new bike. Still think it’s a great bit of kit though.
Ahh I find some companies still recognise it! Bikesure gave me discount for having them in my bikes
This whole vid is one big Ad 😂😂
😂😂 yeah I thought that when I was editing it.. it's not meant to be but everything happening all at once meant it was ha
Damn those f... thieves. Getting a tracker now.
Honestly... worth it. I dread to think how much it would cost to have a bike knicked
@@SamVBikes just ordered the Moni 9.
Nice!! The 9 is usb-c charger which is a nice plus and it's tiny compared to the 7!
@@SamVBikes yeah. Took your advice. Thanks for that.
No problem pal! Hope you're happy with it
Is that a Knox pro 3?
It's the Halvarssons Arvika mate! Fits me much nicer than my old Knox one did
Blonde? Is that the new ginger? 😉
😂😂 I'll just stand next to Ollie and I'll look really blonde
@@SamVBikes 😂
Have you seen the sp1 and R1 they have for sale
I saw the SP1 the other day... what a gorgeous thing 🔥
@@SamVBikes there’s a 1970s Honda 750 too that looks amazing
Could spend a fortune in there... some of the Nortons and RC30s they have in there are stunning
They are like works of art I’d bin the miserable Mona Lisa and put one of the RC30s in her place. The gsxrs they have to are stunning.
Pitty you don’t have a sportsbikeshop discount too
Any news on the monkey bike.
Haha! I almost convinced Emma to let me have the Ducati in the house 😂
Monkey wise... it starts, that's all I'll say ha! Long road ahead to get it fully functional but getting there
Let's hope your insurance company doesn't watch your channel, if you check your policy you may find that some insurers will require you to notify them not only of a claim but of a loss, a loss is an incident that you don't claim for, normally an insurance company would have no way of knowing of a loss but of course as you've posted on your channel that could be an issue if you don't disclose it, I can tell you from experience working in the insurance industry that theft is a major cause to have a policy rejected for renewal or the possibility of a DECENT increase in your premium regardless that a claim wasn't lodged.
Let's hope the insurance channel watches the rest of the video before raising my premiums then
I bought same tracker 5 years ago but never installed on any of my bikes. And my bike was stolen just few weeks ago
"Blonde" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Strawberry blonde maybe !! 😂
Haha sod off! Just the beard that doesn't like the sun 😂😂😂
@@SamVBikes exactly the same mate, blonde all my life until I grew the ginger beard in my 30's! 😂😂
@RichO1701e that sounds all too familiar 😂
