I enjoyed the video immensely, your knowledge and attention to detail is something to be proud of. I am 70 years old and hearing that bike makes we want to go riding again. Just don't tell my wife. Cheers
straight to the point, attention to details, good work and skills, no shitty music, pure explanation about the restoration progress... kudos to you sir, can't wait for ur next projetc videos... big thanks... 🎉
Anyone who has ever done a similar project knows how much work is involved. And you always make it look so easy. Many Kudos and thanks for the video. 😊
This is my types of videos NGL.. 40 to 1 Hour long restorations.. no sound track, straight up Voice over with a little bit of saturation.. this is beautiful
Wow, you amaze me with the amount of work you put into, not only restoring the bikes/cars but also the hours editing the videos, it must take you hours of video work setting up shots, then putting them together. Thank you for your time and effort.
Thank you for your kind comment and for watching :) Yeah it does take a really long time to make these videos, I spend all day the workshop filming and working and then come home to spend all night editing the footage I basically work round the clock 7 days a week.
Even after all the years that have passed since this bike was designed it is still one of the best looking, and sounding machines of all time, and it was a joy to see you bring it back to its former glory, 😎👍. Eagerly awaiting the next rebuild.
The 748 was always seen as the baby brother... The 916 design was years ahead of it's time. One of those few cases. I had lots of Ducati model bikes, and my huge collection started from my first 916. Always loved this bike. And if money was no object, even the 748 would be in my garage today. thanks for sharing this rebuild.
Just watched this, first time I've watched your videos, you're a perfectionist ! The time taken in the filming this must have at least tripled your actual job time . Switching seamlessly from one shot to another as you inserted a part takes a lot of time and forethought as a one man band !! Great explanations , and a fantastic job done . A well deserved restore for an iconic bike ! 👍 Keep up the good work pal ! 👏
I’m always amazed at people who can build/rebuild things. My dad could. My grandfather was a master mechanic and farmer and my great grandfather was a blacksmith. Me. I can ride a motorcycle. But don’t ask me to fix/repair. I can do oil changes and put gas in them and that’s it. Great video!
It's hard to believe this bike was designed more than 30 years ago, what a beautiful machine! Stellar work on the restoration. Keep them coming. New subscriber here 👍
Just finished watching this video whilst my wife is watching some rubbish Australian wedding show on TV. This is the best thing I’ve seen on TH-cam for ages. How long did it take to complete. Phenomenal work and it’s amazing to me that you had the right tools to hand straight away, I’m always rummaging around through various drawers and toolboxes. Hope the new owner is as happy with the bike as I was watching you put it all together. Best wishes from Wales.
Lol restoration my A**. That bike was basically mint, just dirty and some corrosion. The oil was virtually fresh still and the sparkplugs still good. This wasn't a restoration, this was a service 🤣🤣
I particularly loved the Zip tie holding the grinder to the bench lol. The amount of professionalism you show in all your video's is amazing and inspirational. This video was spectacular! Foam to dust years are like dog years, 7-1 ratio lol.
Thank you! You did it perfectly! Just like when I fix or restore or maintain equipment or my Land Rover. 1. blow dust away, 2. wash 3. dry, 4 start disassembling, and so on. And your shop is CLEAN! Thank you again!
Just ran across your channel and just love what you are doing. Doesn't hurt that the 748 is my all time favorite. I have had several standard 748, a 748L and two 748RS. Having rebuilt all of them and raced a couple, your video filled me with many memories. Thanks
Awesome job as always and certainly a lot more work went in to this than was shown on video, for a non full resto the bike looked immaculate when finished.
It's hard to believe these bikes were first unveiled in 94! They look brand new still! If someone had an example that was in this condition it would be easy to think it was a brand new bike! Truly a timeless design!
Oh yeah, this guy knows his stuff, its a pleasure to watch. God I love your clean workshop, a must for good work. Thanks for the time to make this channel.
Without doubt, the most interesting bike restoration project I've watched to date. Superbly executed and simply explained, together with your excellent knowledge and skills. Last, but not least, what a fantastic project bike to work on. I didn't think it was possible to raise it from the dead, but you proved me wrong. I'll be watching your other restoration videos with interest. Very well done!
This is going to be a great restoration. These are great bikes, and it’s a shame to see this beauty in such disrepair. But I know you will give this bike the proper restoration it deserves.
Wow. I just found this channel and I am already a fan. It is so relaxing and satisfying to watch. Thank you for all your effort. You got yourself a new subscriber and I seriously think you deserve more.
I was very disheartened by your opening comments about how this restoration was going to go. I’m halfway through the video and it’s only bloody brilliant 🎉❤😅 you are doing such a bang up job on this old duck. And boy does she ever need it. It’s so good to see it wasn’t ragged to death before being abandoned. Absolutely love the Chanel and content. ❤
Probably the best restoration video of anything I've ever seen. Love that we see start to finish in one video, not spread over weeks and weeks. If that's not a full restoration I don't know what is. Beautiful. I know, will go and watch the 916 video now 🙂
Another masterclass from the boss . Great to see your cinematography skills adding to the overall polished article . Love the test ride and on board footage, which finishes up the video perfectly. Well done , top notch job from a truly skilled biker . Can't wait for the next bike project !

This guy's a genius in my opinion. It's just lovely to see a fellow Scot doing this ( given that we are the mothers of all invention and engineering) Go on my son.
I have 40 years riding bikes and have always ridden them as if I had just purchased, just exactly the way you gently tested your machine, just shifting gently and smoothly with low rpms, that way you can really feel the engine like a cat purring
Yes, I also like to feel the engine by gently using it ( most of the time ). Only occasionally I ride bike fast for a short distance. So, I totally understand what you mean.
Love your unconventional way of fixing the bike. It simple and very very cost-effective. Unlike other motorbikes restoration and repairers I have seen on TH-cam
I remember back when my mate pulled up to the guardroom on his new 748 and it sounded broken. "It's the clutch plates" he said 😂 Hell of a bike, as is the 916 sp. The memory of the sound droning out of the pipes when engine braking coming down hill still gives me tears and goosebumps. A right nice job you've done there, mate! Good on you and hope the owner treats her good and rides safe 🖖
Great work buddy everything you did was spot on - I always watch these videos and end up seeing all the mistakes...you know your stuff clearly. It brought back memories of my 999, so many similarities on the engine/belts etc. And I've ridden that road a 1000 times so we're in the same part of the world! Good luck

Thanks for a really interesting video!!!! N
Fabulous stuff. Always so wonderful to see time, effort and prodigious skill put into restoring beautiful machinery that would otherwise decay beyond repair. Well filmed and produced too. I once almost bought a 748 back in '02 but made the silly mistake of riding my Blackbird to the dealer. At the time I felt like my pushbike had more power. How silly, wrong, (young and stupid) I was back then! Cheers mate from Australia - Dave

Incredibly relaxing video to watch of a professional bloke making something once beautiful, beautiful again. Great editing and narration style. Not too much, not too little. Congratulations on the success of the work and your channel!
Most restoration is buy new stuff to replace the old one. This guy restore almost everything, even the front suspension. Respect.
Basically restoration of a bike means restoring it the way it was when it was first bought
First time I've seen a mechanic who take note of important details while doing some repairs. This guy is a Legend.
Just the kind of restoration video I like to watch. less talk and more action, natural sound, no exaggeration! Keep up the good work mate.

Superb work. I've just discovered your channel. I find it very addictive watching skilled mechanics/restorers at work.
There is something very satisfying about this. Great job
great to see you add so much value in the right way to do things, the front wheel, covering the ecu, thanks for the tip on the headlights, i will have to do them on mine. I have covered 54 thousand miles on mine and owned since 2006. Lovely to see the work you carried out on this one. Mine when the injectors are balanced sounds so sweet. Great to see your work
