  • Tanking is more complex than you may think. I ask Ishb00 one of the most difficult questions I get.
    Check out Ishb00:
    Twitter: is...
    Heroes Hearth: heroeshearth.c...
    TH-cam: / @ishb0058
    Hes one of the best tanks in HGC and has amazing game sense and awareness. Many of the casters considered him the best Garrosh in HGC.
    Check out Heroes Hearth, the organization behind HHE: heroeshearth.com
    Not just guides with statistics, but actual guides with commentary from pros explaining why they go the talents they go.
    Not sponsored, just have a lot of respect for Heroes Hearth and the pros in HHE.

    Sonya: Never peel, always engage.
    Team mates about to die? Engage!
    10% health? Engage!
    1v5? Engage!

    I like how you normally mention that "They are pro who am I to question them" then we finally got a pro with their insight on your channel.
    IDK, I quite like this and I have a bit of hope for more content like this and if possibly with HGC replay.

    Love how Ishb00 mentions his teammates as “My (healer)”, just shows you that he watches for you. 17:47
    Being chased as a healer without protection could cost losing a team fight for sure.

      As a support main (well trying to), I CAN CONFIRM THIS 100%.

    • @djS0nics
      @djS0nics 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yeah, support main here as well. But I feel like I can avoid getting zoned out 90% of my games. If I get in trouble I sometimes just run towards my tank and most times he will save me.

    • @Calx9
      @Calx9 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless the tank has a lot of CC, it's mainly the dps who should be protecting the healer. The tank will do what he can but if he poses no threat then they will just kill the healer and walk away.

    how dont you have more subs, youre the best hots youtuber, also would you be willing to make a video on closing out games, ive had a problem finishing games recently even when my team has had a lead

    • @NotParadox
      @NotParadox  6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      I could definitely do that and to my size, I am growing quickly. 4 months of posting seriously and nearly 12k subs, I think that is more than I could ask for. And it was rocky, a few of the earlier videos were hours long, some were simply bad (some misinformation) , so I personally feel I have finally gotten the series's down and found my footing.

      Its only an idea, but a hell lot of people are simply not interested in pro tactics cause how hots is they will
      never ever play against them in liga only by chance. And using pro tactics on everything else then a pro could probably kill you and your whole team in seconds :P

    Ishb00's Diablo play was so on point on Volskaya Foundry against Tempest. Despite playing an "engaging" tank, he was very conservative against Tempest's Uther Genji Greymane all in dive comp -- until the very last fight when they where 5v4. In contrast, JayPL's Diablo was probably a bit too aggressive against the almost exact same comp from Tempest, and that I think cost Dignitas the game on Infernal Shrines.

    Hey man, I do like your vids. Just found them.
    You've got a lot of observations and analyze things very well. It is obvious that you know the game, yet i get the feeling your vids are very long and ranty. I would suggest a script for your more "guide" style videos.

    I know this is kind of late, but can I give you some advice? I think first of all you should explain what exactly "engaging" and "peeling" means and what the differences are. And I don't mean this only for this video, but as a general introduction. There may be quite some players that don't know the meaning of these words or don't completely understand them and it would be easier to understand this video, if you knew it beforehand.

    It's amazing video! Thank you! I have a question. I play Malthael a lot, I double soak, do camps, objectives. However my team often fight with out reason and die, they blame for it. So what I have to do to avoid it?

    • @drb4074
      @drb4074 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Avoid whiny teammates? Mute teamchat.
      But seriously. I'll give you a tip I use for Specialist split-push play, since that is what Malth is now since they gutted Tormented Souls and removed his teamfight capability. The key point of a split-push strategy is that you *must* assess your team's competence and results early in match. If they are bad feeders, taking teamfights short-handed relentlessly-- you have to decide if you need to be helping them MORE than split-pushing.
      It's a razor's edge. And it's why Specialists are infinitely more complex to play than ignoramuses believe. All the split-push in the world can't win games if your teammates simply are losing fight after fight. The 'why' of it doesn't matter. Incompetent players, bad players, unwilling to be more conservative and let the split-pusher do work, etc etc. It doesn't matter. Typically, players that do this aren't that smart and should not be argued with.
      YOU have to decide whether YOU get more value from doing Malth things, or if you have to go help team more consistently. Only experience will aid you here. Obvious things like 'objective spawning, a teamfight WILL happen, I should get there" are easier. They are just a mindset shift. But more complex things like recognizing which team has late or early game Heroes, which team has better point presence, etc. Takes time, experience, and study to make the right calls.

    • @MrAsmil
      @MrAsmil 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      im guessing he wanted the ez pick before turning in? would get more value that way? im not sure but I think the better play there is just to turn in top.

    • @djS0nics
      @djS0nics 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the team fight had higher priority for him:
      Either you win, then turn in and get huge value, or you lose the team fight. In the last case you don't want the weavers already to be spawned, because in a 2v5 situation red team can easily deal with the weavers. The gems lost are not that big of a deal, because that's only 2 gems missing for blue team and they can get these almost any time.
      That's what I assume his thought process might have been. But I'm not a GM, so I don't know. Maybe NotParadox can explain.
