Seeing the specs on Tiger's irons makes his iron distances all the more impressive. He obviously can't keep up with the big guns on tour off the tee anymore but all things being equal he's just as long as just about anybody still with his irons.
Peter, it's great that you are giving the old yardages vs the new and saying what club you would have it. I know that loft is king but of course ego is queen. My MP-32 7i is 35d and my smooth swing is 145y - I know I shouldn't try to get any more from it. So there it is for all to see, I only hit my 7i 145y.
I'm not a great lover of either set of iron but I think the Mizuno irons will really suit your game Pete. You're a highly skilled golfer and the more you play they will reward you with some fantastic shot making and hopefully we will all be rejoicing with you when you qualify for the big one soon! I bought myself a split set of mp18 mizunos after managing to break two shafts on my wilson staff c300 irons. I'm probably no where near good enough to be hitting blade, but the feel is absolutely ridiculous when you hit them flush, you dont feel any impact it's weird the ball just takes off. So much better than any "game improvement" iron, they genuinely got me more hooked on the game, so mizuno all the way :) thanks for the videos.

Got fit for Mizuno’s this winter and love them! 5 iron is the HMB. 6-PW in the MMC. I also picked up a 2iron in the HMB that I will switch out with a 5 wood depending on the conditions. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!
I have three sets of Mizuno blades ,love them all. Mp 32 ,Mp 33 x2 . I’m older now,looking for new clubs appropriate for my ancient swing. This really helped😁
Mizuno is definitely making a stand against all the corporate club companies over here in America! It's funny when u realize how many pros on tour play mizunos yet there bag makes no mention. Jpx919 tour and 4-5 cavity for me and nothing better. Keep up the great info videos Peter I've learned so much
I bought MP-18 MMCs on an incredible deal... barely even hit them before buying (totally uncharacteristic for me)... but they just look & feel soooo goood. Now I'm going to get fit into them.
Those MP-20s are beauts! I currently use Mizuno MP-32 irons, which are similar lofts to the TW irons. The advantage of playing irons with these lofts is that I only need two specialist wedges (52° and 57°), so I can add an extra club at the top of the bag (i.e. a driving iron and a fairway wood). On the down side, my 5-iron only goes 200 yards with a pretty strong tail wind…otherwise, that is my 3-iron.
Loved this video and thought Peter covered every aspect of irons from looks, feel, loft and custom fitting. Traditionally Mizuno are a company that specialises in irons. Would be interested how another more traditional set of irons like Titleist would compare to the Mizunos.
Nothing better than a Mizuno- staying playing my MP 5 s -been fitted for some new T20s by pro at Birkdale, he has just changed from his 5s due to wearcand tear!!!💪💪💪👍👍👍
The Tiger irons are mostly traditional lofts, so when you say you're hitting a 9 when you're hitting an 8 I guess that's just the modern industry speaking. Especially when considering that lofts are getting stronger and stronger every year whilst calling it "technology". Anyone can put out a low COG cavity back 7 iron with a 5 iron loft and call it revolutionary.
Pete noticed the Adidas Codechaos shoes, wondering how they are working out. I have a couple of pairs and I absolutely love them, hands-down the best shoes I've played.
Since watching TH-camrs, I never knew what the whole “unwrapping new clubs” thing was about, since I’ve mostly bought used clubs. Then I got my new CBX 2s in the mail ... ooooh, now I get it. 😂

But this time, I decided to pay a little more to get the wedges I wanted. They work great, and I don't plan on changing them out for a long, long, time.
I like how you are driving the point home lately that the number on the top of the club doesn't mean much anymore. I have my clubs 4* apart from 22* down to 46*, which I thought was even a little strong but this now seems like it's 2* weaker for the standard lofts on mizuno sets.
Just got fitted for the first time ever of 16 years playing, jpx 921 (of course I'm standard everything 🤦♂️) they feel awesome and added about 15yds to my lengths (welcomed). Nothing feels like a mizuno I guess!

Pete, did you have your 8 and 9 irons bent stronger, because the stock MB 8 iron is 38 degrees, and the 9 is 42. The MMC and MB are different lofts throughout except for the P wedge.
Would love to get fitted for Irons. But I think I need to get my handicap down first. Unless they dont take your handicap into consideration. I'm unsure
Quick question. If you had been playing with TW irons for a year why wouldnt you adjust the lofts of the new irons to suit your old irons? Would be interesting to see the gapping of your new irons compaired to the old 1s....

Never thought I’d see or hit another iron that looked or felt as good as my MP20s but I got to say my mate got some tiger irons today and my god they look and feel amazing. If I had the money I would buy them in a heart beat. The 4 iron is a little bit scary though 😱🤣

I hit the Titleist 716 CB's... lofts are a good 2-3 degrees light of what my usual playing partners play and it's so annoying when they say they are hitting the same club as me. Def would be a good feeling having irons with stronger lofts for the ole' noggin lol

Compare the mp 20 mmc to the very similar MP-15 which I think is the best iron that mizuno ever made and I have hit a lot of diffrent mizunos . Just to see if there is any improvement ... Throw the mp 58 in there too for comparison sake , another similar mmc iron ... Thanks

I had a set of mp 33s custom fit back in 99. Absolutely love the feel and distance control. Very workable as well.

You'll love the MMCs. I hit one in particular yesterday 195m that just went like a laser.

I've always bought my irons second hand... Maybe one day but can't afford to put 1k euros when a year later I can find them used for 300-400 euros

I think the Hogan Irons now come stamped with the loft rather than the traditional number. Makes much more sense the way lofts are going
Did you lower the lofts on the mp20 mbs as they are stronger than usual? They are usually only 1 degree stronger than the TMs

I'm a 15 handicap. Just got fit. 919 tours PW-7i. 919 forged 4-6i. my scores have gone down and my ball striking is more consistent
