I just realized after reading this:
Sora fought the Lingering Will which is Terra's Keyblade Armor. Terra also is somewhat similar and related to Riku in terms of experience with using darkness and is his successor respectively.
Riku fought the Armored Ventus Nightmare which is Ventus' Keyblade Armor. From the start of BBS we already know how Ventus is related to Sora, especially with how Roxas looks like Ventus more than Sora.
So, Sora and Riku fought each other's predecessor (well their keyblade armors to be exact) at one point. Damn, I don't even know if that's a coincidence anymore or not. Makes me wish that Kairi fought Anti-Aqua instead, but understandably can't as she was just fresh out of training.
I think that Terra's proud to see that the boy he chose to be a successor grew up to be a true Keyblade master.

She is not alone this time. As Ven and Terra are now physically with her in every step of the way. They'll always have each others' backs.

THESE are the kind of moments I want more of in KH3. Interactions between all the characters. I mean epic battles are cool and all, but I'm a KH character junky. I want my feels, and I want to see all kinds of new friendships form. Lea and Kairi becomming friends was something fun I didn't know I needed untill it happend and sadly we didn't get enough of that. BBS gang and Riku work really nice together as well. All these posibilities.. I just want more friendship dynamics, more cut scenes, more heart, less flashyness. Character story telling is what KH used to be great at. Say what you want about the overall plot, but almost every KH fan loves the characters.So I hope future KH games remember this and give us more meaningfull character moments, less confusing plot and filler worlds. I love disney, I like disney being part of KH, but I hate filler. Make disney relevant again like it was in KH1. Give disney worlds purpose again. Give any world purpose again. And make more original worlds, or old worlds completely explorable like radiant garden. KH3 looked amazing, but at the same time the worlds where so empty. Somehow the older games felt less empty despite not having npc people walking around in towns and stuff. Anyhoot, this little moment was great. I'm just sad the dlc didn't have more of this type of contend. Characters and their bonds kind of stuff.

Terra and Riku's conversation about the later's progress is just really heartwarming. Here's hoping they will team up more often in the future games, as well as Sora & Ventus and Aqua & Kairi.
P.S: I'm still hoping the Wayfinder trio get a redesign for KH4, particularly Terra and Aqua.

When Terra tells Riku that he has nothing left to teach him yeah he never taught him anything. He is referring to when they met years ago and he told him about other worlds and if he ever made it to him he would train him. But life played out differently and Riku has been through so mych and come so far there really is nothing for Terra to teach him. In fact Riku actually became a Keyblade Master which Terra never accomplished.

in a way he technically did teach him. terra technically becomes ansem Seeker and xemnas, withsome cutscenes showing that xehanort was not in full control during amnesia. this is shown with xemnas talking to aquas armor, the "friend" he cannot remember. Ansem seeker spends most of his time teaching riku about darkness and even admits at the end that riku's might is "vaster then darkness" showing pride.

Devil_Slayer Productions true. Like, firstly we played as Riku and Aqua before, it’s neat how Riku has a new Shotlock though that works kinda like Aquas but dark and slash based. Roxas didn’t get a shotlock though so I find that odd. Kairi was super fun. I know floaty characters aren’t everyone’s thing but cmon, from my experience her first Air attack never misses when she throws that Keyblade. It would have been neat to play as an HD Ventus, and let’s be honest Terra NEEDS an HD version of himself, considering how god awfully slow he was in BBS, which is weird when you compare him to the lingering will. Even when he first turned into the lingering will he was super slow

I really love "Limit Break" system because it shows that these dude is the same dude you fight as a boss, that will get stronger and more insane when their HP reach low ...

Showing that these trio actually out of league compared to the rest of characters ... I mean, they're potrayed and/or treated as a legendary warrior in many occasions, and like how they have those armor that look ancient, and how they can create portal without employ any darkness ...
I actually hope that each trio have their unique stuff from their last installment that differs from the rest ... To show that they're really "come back" more ...

Terra and Riku have always been my favorite ones from the trios they are from because their stories are very similiar to my life story. I try to follow the right path but sometimes i struggled and ended up doing the opposite.

Canonically, they always had capes. The PSP's hardware just couldn't support them, and I don't think they were able to program them into the PS3/PS4 remaster's gameplay.

He is talking about his meeting at the destiny islands when he taught him how to wield a keyblad, and in this, he probably must've taught him some other lessons of keyblade when he visited The Land of Departure. It's also after one year.

Terra did age though. We saw his body getting older while being possessed by Xehanort.
However Terra never saw himself as older, therefore his body retook his younger's self appearance.

I hope Roxas, Xion, and Ventus have more to do with getting Sora back. Kairi too. But Sora's whole adventure in Kh3, and even some in Kh2 revolved around saving Roxas. Then when he found out about Ventus and a mystery person, he went out of his way to save Aqua so he could free Ven. As for Xion, he freed her from the Organization. These three should at least be shown more in Kh4 at least talking about ways they can help. I know Riku's supposed to be the guy, but Kairi and those three deserve to help. Kairi cares more about Sora than anyone. And Sora should be shown to be important to the people he helped. Including Aqua, Terra, and Lea. I just want to see that. I want to see them trying. (I didn't mention Namine because we're not sure she knew it was Sora who helped. After all, she was in Kairi's heart.)

@@sonomni, I think the mysterious girl is Strelitzia. I think instead of the darkness killing her, it separated her heart and disposed of her body. The heart was then given a body years later as Subject X. And Lea and Isa became friends with her.

Noticing that Ven and Aqua have capes just like Terra's Armor.
Remember it was Terra who gave Riku the power to wield the Keyblade back in BBS when Riku was younger.
They really need to make a TV series of these characters. There just wasn't enough screen time and interaction amongst them. LIke the other Keyblade Warriors didn't really have a reaction towards Roxas being able to wield two keyblades or the fact that Roxas and Ventus look exactly alike.

That’s why Ansem was so close to Riku… Kingdom Hearts told us from the beginning… And we didn’t know it 🥺😳!
I love this scene so much. I was really disappointed when I didn’t get to see them interacting at the end of Kingdom Hearts III, so when this game released it gave me exactly what I was looking for.
It feels super shallow to me. The relationship between the two is paper thin despite their resemblances; they talked to each other once, Terra had a vibe and bequeathed his power to Riku.
There was no talk about how they failed to handle their darkness, no talk of how they got out of it, no talk of the people who were there to help, and no talk of any of the steps on the way. Just "i have nothing left to teach you", as if Terra's counsel had ever been of actual help to Riku.
I know it's a game and they can't make a 30 minutes cinematic of them chatting up, but this just didn't scratch the itch for me.
I love this scene , my two favorite KH characters , Riku (1st) and Terra (2nd) finally get to talk to each other. I hope Terra and Riku get to talk more in KH4.
BTW , Terra , I think Riku would like to know how to turn his keyblade into different weapons and that armor looks dope. So can you teach him in KH4? Thanks bro.

To be fair, Ventus and Sora (and Roxas and Vanitas) all have the same height issue. I think Ven just blessed his habits and height to Sora when he was born so that's why Riku is able to be taller than both Sora and Ven :D (also Roxas)

Kinda weird how time works, huh. But, since Ven didn’t actually experience a hundred, maybe thousands of years of age when traveling forward through time, he’s only built like a sixteen year old here even though he’d technically be in his twenties now.
@@Kirito843 Yeah, that last part is a little confusing. He looked like a Teen when Sora was born, lived with Eraqus for around 3 or 4 years, then slept for maybe 11-12 years. In other words, Ven's physical appearance didn't change at all throughout all of Sora's life lol

Maybe its because they lost some of their power like Sora did. Sora lost his powers cause xehanort nearly took over his body like he did to Terra. Also Aqua fell to darkness before she was saved and Ven spent 10 years in a coma after severely damaging his heart.
Could be how Nomura explains setting them back to lv 1 in their game.

@@loganbigmo To be honest, using their regular Keyblades feels more appropiate, especially since it is their signature weapons. Plus, they only need to change the Keychains.

Terra and Riku reminded me of Illidan and The Adventurers after Antorus. Illidan also had a proud dad moment with them.
Now Riku is a true master of the keyblade due to learning all the moves that was taught from a keyblade wielder.. I know Riku was self-taught but learning from an expert makes it more awesome and learning on how to use the keyblade even more.
Nice job Johnathon. P.S That scene between Riku & Terra remind me of that time Terra chose Riku as the next keyblade bearer. And he made good choice.

This wont go well for those three I predict. I think Aqua will be fine with the temptation the darkness brings. Terra I think might have minor problems but overcome it. But Ventus... I think being that close to the realm of darkness and having sentient darkness inside him could be really bad.
