The 10 years of isolation occurred after that event from Aqua’s POV, for time travel reasons. I also think Yen Sid’s a jerk for telling Mickey to keep quiet about Aqua’s situation.

I just noticed that the lip sync of Japanese and English are completely different. Square enix and disney really took alot of time in that. They so did not use the same animation for the english dub and japanese dub.
what hurts my brain is since lea was estimated to be 16 the time he met Ven and the course of kingdom hearts since birth by sleep took 12 years. that make lea around 28 and I question why ven aqua and terra have not physically changed since then
If I recall, Aqua got stuck in the Realm of Darkness. A place where the concept of time is very confusing. She may got stuck there for ages, but what does it mean by "ages" in that realm? Then, Ventus' heart slept within Sora and his body resting in the Chamber of Waking within the Castle Oblivion. This is a guess, but, his heart-being disconnected-may have stopped Ventus from aging since hearts can have the ability to travel through time and his heart is just within Sora to fix itself. For Terra, who fuckin knows.
Terra has aged though. Even though he was a heartless in KH1, Ansem was the result of Xehanort possessing Terra's body, while Xemnas is actually his body due to the nature of Nobodies. The Terra-Xehanort you see later on is either most likely a replica, or came from the past, as both Ansem and Xemnas still exist.

Master Eraqus' heart was still inside of Terra after the fight between Sora and Master Xehanort. And then came the line "You sly fox" from Master Xehanort, a callback to the secret ending from Birth by Sleep "Blank Point", when Master Xehanort's heart conversed with Terra's heart. And whoosh appeared Master Eraqus' heart from the same Terra from 10 years ago.

Idk about aqua and ven but terras body was split into a nobody and heartless which I guess makes it so he doesn’t age. After the events of kh 1 and 2 both the heartless and nobody’s were defeated so Xehanort and terra had to be reformed but Xehanort appeared in his own body instead of terras who was just and empty shell in which Xehanort places his own heart in. The xemnas and Ansem we see in kh3 are both from the past which explains why all of them are able to coexist.
I love how their excuse for her not remembering is was because she was little/younger. I remember pretty much everything from when I was all the way at 3 years old. And if it was even something slightly traumatic of course I would remember it. Just Kingdom Hearts 3 and sloppy writing
Actually Kairi did have amnesia, if you remember she is originally from Radiant garden and in a meteor shower she somehow ended up on Destiny islands with no memory of how she got there. So it’s completely understandable, also to Aquas knowledge she thinks it’s because she was to little but Kairi legit does not remember her childhood before she was on Destiny islands. I wouldn’t call it sloppy writing although they could of made Kairi say I don’t remember anything before my time on the islands. But she did say her memory was hazy.
I can remember when I was 3, too, but most people actually don't remember much, if anything, before the age of 6. So no, it's not sloppy writing in this instance.
