The one stat that I think is really going under the radar is Cards were a top 10 offense when Murray started. Why wouldn't anyone expect them to be a top 10 offense in 2024 with all the additions on that side of the ball?!
He should have been playing WR all year. It was perhaps the biggest mistake the new coaching staff made last year and I am an AZ fan. In an interview recently, Murray said he was unguardable and if he was 3 inches taller he would have been a top 5 pick in the draft. So that is his trust level.

Cardinals were extra motivated for Eagles. Gannon's old team. Cardinals organization upset with Eagles for giving up better draft pick cause they hired Gannon. Eagles blaming Superbowl loss on Gannon and Cardinals Stadium. Payback for 2022 loss. Cardinals learned from that 2022 loss. When they tied game in 4th. Eagle did very long 6+ minute drive that burned alot of clock after taking lead. Cardinals didn't have much time for comeback. Hell yeah that dude was asss couldn’t draft for sht hired bad coaches and would target established players who were out of their prime years. He got us AJ green , JJ Watt , Dhop all solid players but aging players .
Yes he was terrible. Drafted Simmons and Collins first round back to back years, traded a first for Hollywood brown, drafted Rosen, nkemdiche, Rondale 2nd round etc etc
he was good at making trades for the most part (DHop for D Johnson mostly) but was really bad at drafting, especially 1st-2nd Rds. Had a few gems in later rounds but mostly whiffed
very bad.. couldn't build the OL at all. K1 wanted Keim to draft CD Lamb, top LT, Creed H, etc. but he drafted two ILB back to back drafts. Keim knew that Rodney Hudson wanted to retire, but asked him to come back and play. after knowing this, he still didn't address the center position in the draft. then, Rodney got injured and didn't play many games in 2022.
This is my first time tuning into you guys.... (Yup, Cards fan) And your insights and analysis "vibes" as Kyler would say. You're a nice upgrade from the other amateurish pod casts. One last thought you might want to consider... Kyler recently communicated "Bet. The. Over." And you both have validated his opinion here. Do not be surprised if this team makes the playoffs! Yes, the youth factor or injury bug are a concern for all teams. But this coaching staff is about to demonstrate "their value" for everyone in the league. WATCH! Because it will be FUN indeed....
Can’t really be sneaky. We have one of the hardest schedules this year. 2/4 division teams will make Playoffs (one got to Super Bowl last year, might again this year) and I think no less than 8 playoff, to division leading playoff teams on the schedule on top of that. I don’t know how u get that schedule after 4-13
Dortch valued as a slightly below average WR3 (team WR3 not fantasy WR3) doesn’t seem insane to me. I might have him like WR82 but like, if he’s ur teams WR2 ur really not happy ab that. You have to be at least a passable WR2 to be a top 70 receiver n I think Dortch misses that cut.
If last year is any indication, the Cardinals are going to be one of those teams that will make you work hard for every win even when they have the inferior roster.
55:54 but the Guarentee is only 19 Mill so is it more 2 years at 9.5 per year with incentives? That is more in line with what others are getting? Forgive me for not getting it

My biggest knock on Kyler Murray, constantly injured. Last yr after returning he ended the season with a Red Q behind his name. Since hiring College Kingsbury, who of course drafted Murray I lost all faith again. Should've traded him prior to his contract (let him move on) and rebuilt the foundational lines. Kyler or Caleb doesn't matter. Other than S the defense is a rotational mess again. "If they step up" should be the Cards offensive and defensive line's theme song, it's the tune we been singing since 1988. Rebuild the damn lines.
As a Cardinals fan, thank you for not just giving praise just to give it like most Cardinals fans do. Most of my teams fans just never hold a critical lens and it really shows.
I am very hopeful as a cardinals team, but don't forget the year they started 10-0 under Kliff. Kyler was a real MVP candidate, but then AJ Green didn't turn around against the Packers and it all fell apart after that.
@@zonamc5924 No he is talking about the year we got killed by the Rams in the playoffs after Hopkins got hurt. Different team. Different coach. Different mentality.
One thing people have said is that Kliff’s offense was simplified and forced Kyler to have to be the MVP every game. Or some plays would just be “throw it to Hopkins.” Which is why the rams defense torched us in the playoffs. Wheras, Petzing’s offense changes every week based on the opponent. I see this as a team who could get in the playoffs at 9-8 and have a better result. Kyler has said it himself that he no longer has to be superman for us to win. As long as our defense can be halfway decent this year, I think that can ring true.
Elijah Jones is going to be 25 years old during his rookie season. Feel like EJ should pump the brakes just a bit. He was over-aged vs the competition.
0.125 = 1/8. I'm sure you _can_ do math good sometimes Brett, just not quite this time. $15 million is 50% more than $10 million, not 33% more. $10 million would be a 33% discount off of $15 million.
Marv, the emergence of Trey McBeast, 2 really good running backs, a decent No. 2 receiver in Wilson, they got a franchise Left Tackle in Paris Johnson. Their offense is looking pretty damn good actually.
Conner and benson should be a top 10 duo, PJJ left tackle and Jonah Williams right tackle, healthy Kyler, marv/wilson/zay jones/dortch is pretty solid, and an emerging star in McBride. Offense will be good. Defense will be better but still below average again though
@@tommygun_07 Their defense is kind of intriguing, I think! I don’t think it will be ‘good’ necessarily, but I think it could be closer to good than to bad. I like what they’re doing in the secondary. I was a big fan of Max Melton, thought he was a great get, though he’ll take his rookie lumps. Same with Elijah Jones. But Garret Williams is there from last year’s draft, Sean Bunting and Budda Baker are good vets. Their LBs are possibly going to be solid. It’s an extremely athletic group if nothing else. And Darius Robinson, again he’s just a rookie who will take his lumps, but he might bring some umph to that DL along with Justin Jones. They’re like, 2 OLineman, a top tier ILB, and one more IDL player from being a vamped squad. So basically 4 players, like Brett said.
The max melton pick was so disappointing because we had the chance to take dejean and kool aid. But when you realize we have 2 potential guys already in the room and Gannon is a DB whisperer, not to mention it got us another 3rd it doesn't seem to bad.
Don't worry, we'll all get our chance to rip the Bears to shreds. We can start with Brett's own excellent research exposing the myth that "Fields can't read defenses." That was The Only 'Reason' fans excused the Bears calling for Fields to not throw to certain receivers on certain plays. "They had to simplify the offense for him." Since one can't _unlearn how_ to read defenses th-cam.com/video/QuhUbISnr8s/w-d-xo.html proves Fields always could read them & that This Play, called for most of two full seasons could do nothing but ensure Fields couldn't pass the ball. His Own HC called plays designed to fail. & that's not even the Best Part. Even with that you can say "this was shrewd of them to create the excuse to move onto the Better Prospect." It would have been if Caleb _was_ better. But *_ALL_** we have of him **_are_** college highlights,* right? So the entirety of this thought that he's better is based only on that. When seen together th-cam.com/video/5JO1PsupF_U/w-d-xo.html Fields' are better. So they tanked to get the Better Prospect, but didn't even look to see if he _was_ that. Fields is a better rusher _AND_ a way more accurate passer. It isn't even *close!* They didn't tank for nothing: they tanked *in order **_to_** downgrade at QB.* They tanked & ousted what looks like a Better Than Generational Talent for at best a 4th-round pick. We can wait to bathe in This Glory.
I _LOVE_ everything they did this off-season! My thinking is they're trying to repair the damage their old GM (& possibly Vrabel) did their rep *among NFL **_players_* & actually brainstormed how. If this was stated in a meeting, I imagine ownership, if dedicated to this goal would have okayed over-paying a few players. If so, they over-achieved. I don't expect them to win many games, there's still too many holes unfilled. But they _WON'T_ be boring. At worst, Levis will be Favre Lite & no one will care about the INTs any more than they did with Flacco's last season. Jameis Winston is still popular, right? Levis will put butts in seats, the franchise will make $ back, they'll be fun to watch. I probably wouldn't care if they won fewer games if I was a fan. This season will simply just Be Fun.

They were 7-0, not 10-0 but they were 10-2 at some point that season.
It’s noon, this can’t be right…
Duuude I thought Marlon Mack was so good in college and would have no trouble playing in the League....
Elijah Jones is going to be 25 years old during his rookie season. Feel like EJ should pump the brakes just a bit. He was over-aged vs the competition.
The hawks video is close
When does the bears video come out 😭
likely July 29th. NFC North is last in the rotation, bears should be the first video out that week

Brett, you swindler
0.125 = 1/8. I'm sure you _can_ do math good sometimes Brett, just not quite this time.
$15 million is 50% more than $10 million, not 33% more. $10 million would be a 33% discount off of $15 million.
Wait u said the Panthers were going to win their division last year? Lmao
Kyler coming back is gonna help Arizona a lot, but let’s be honest Marv alone is not gonna elevate them that much
Marv, the emergence of Trey McBeast, 2 really good running backs, a decent No. 2 receiver in Wilson, they got a franchise Left Tackle in Paris Johnson. Their offense is looking pretty damn good actually.
Yeah this break down sounds like a lot of baseless hope.
@@drakeholliday5671True, but the rest of their offense line and their entire defense are shaky at best
FA section is like watching Money ball, lol.
Your floor on wins is not very brave. I say the floor is 8.😊
i swear to god just do the nfc north
They are last. This year's order is East, South, West, North
lol as a packer fan I’ve been waiting for the north!
@@BootlegFootballSaving the best for last?
Don't worry, we'll all get our chance to rip the Bears to shreds. We can start with Brett's own excellent research exposing the myth that "Fields can't read defenses." That was The Only 'Reason' fans excused the Bears calling for Fields to not throw to certain receivers on certain plays. "They had to simplify the offense for him."
Since one can't _unlearn how_ to read defenses th-cam.com/video/QuhUbISnr8s/w-d-xo.html proves Fields always could read them & that This Play, called for most of two full seasons could do nothing but ensure Fields couldn't pass the ball.
It isn't even *close!*
They didn't tank for nothing: they tanked *in order **_to_** downgrade at QB.* They tanked & ousted what looks like a Better Than Generational Talent for at best a 4th-round pick.
We can wait to bathe in This Glory.

Yall slander my giants every episode man
Daniel jones over saquon. Definitely deserve the slander
They going to be another bust. 😂
The Most Improved team over the off-season is probably the Titans
Interesting. Improving via FA doesn't typically translate to being better long-term.
Not even what are you talking about lol
The retirement home of the NFL? I think not
Titans are bringing in and paying older guys and they have a massive question mark at QB. Not sure what their plan is
I _LOVE_ everything they did this off-season!
